Manufacturing, Inc., referred to throughout this manual as “We,” “Us” or “Our.” “You” refers to the facility, community or
other entity that has purchased the device.

healthcare or senior care providers in normal, indoor conditions.

Device Description
The Direct Supply Panacea Resting Hand Orthosis with Crossover Strap (Model # DS-HRE) is a lightweight,
prefabricated hand orthosis featuring a malleable wrist support integrated with a resting pan that may be molded to
aid individual contracted fingers while helping to promote increased range of motion and extension.The frame can
support a relaxed hand as well as a more toned, contracted wrist.The soft goods are made of fabric for a soft feel
against the skin that may help wick away perspiration.There is a simple wrist strap and a color-coded, crossover strap
for the resting pan.This device also has a removable and washable cover.
Directions for Use
To apply the device: First, ensure the soft cover is properly attached to the device. Open the hook-and loop closures.
Carefully open the resident’s fingers and position the palmar section of the device against the palm of the hand.
Gently position the resident’s thumb under the pan. Fasten the hook and loop closure over the wrist. Strap hook-
and-loop closures are color coded. Arrange and attach the strap with the red closures and then cross over the strap
with the gray closures and attach. Check that it is secure but does not interfere with the resident’s circulation. Again,
check that the straps are secure but do not interfere with the resident’s circulation. Check the fit of the device on the
resident periodically and more frequently over time.Your healthcare professional may provide a wearing schedule
for your resident.
To launder: Separate the soft cover from the hand and wrist supports. On the soft cover, fasten all hook and loop
closures, place in the provided laundry bag, and launder with a mild detergent at a low temperature. Afterwards, rinse
thoroughly with cool water and let air dry or tumble dry at a low temperature. For the hand and wrist supports, clean
with a mild detergent, rinse with clean water, and dry with a soft cloth.

We, Direct Supply Manufacturing, Inc., offer to you as the original purchaser a warranty for the Direct Supply Panacea Resting
Hand Orthosis with Crossover Strap. Our warranty applies for the limited warranty period stated below. If any device or device
part listed below is defective in material or workmanship during the applicable limited warranty period, we will repair or
replace it at our cost. Please note that the decision to repair or replace a device or device part will be at our discretion.
Our warranty applies only if the device is properly maintained by the original purchaser for normal, indoor use and does
not cover normal wear and tear, modification of the device, or damage caused by abuse, improper use, failure to maintain,
use which exceeds the published device limitations, or the combination of any device with another device. In addition, our
warranty does not cover fading, colorfastness, stains, spills, or exposure to chemicals, odors, heat or light. In certain cases, we
may provide you repair or adjustment instructions and/or replacement parts, and ask you to perform a repair or adjustment or
replace a defective part.
Our warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary, from state to state. Please note
that our limited warranty period begins when we ship the device to you.The limited warranty period and our obligations
under the warranty end once you transfer the device to someone else, or at the end of the applicable limited warranty period
identified below, whichever is earlier.

exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations
or exclusions may not apply to you. If implied warranties are not excluded, and to the extent allowed by law, we limit any and
all implied warranties to the applicable warranty period identified above. Except for rights under any applicable state law, the
remedies provided under this warranty are your sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of our warranty and state the entire
