highly recommend avoiding any jewelry, and loose clothes and pin long hair
when operating the counter.
2. Avoid getting any metal object or liquid into the counter.
3. Use power outlet with protective earth contact (PE) to connect the counter to
power supply.
4. Unplug the counter after work completion.
5. If the counter is not in use for a long time, its power switch should be in the OFF
position.
6. The device should be installed on a flat horizontal surface; do not use the
counter at extreme low or high temperatures; avoid humidity and exposition to
the direct sunlight.
7. Do not touch the parts inside the counter, if it is connected to power supply.
8. WARNING! Don’t disassemble the counter, there is laser equipment of class
M1 inside (invisible laser radiation).
9. When installing the counter, mind that a high content of dust in the room may
decrease its operation quality.
10. To avoid any fire or short circuit, do not install the device in places where it may
be at risk of soot or steam.

banknotes; therefore, counting stops as soon as it is full. To continue
counting, remove the banknotes from the stacker, and counter continues
operation automatically.

Setting the number of banknotes in a batch:
1 Use the key 1 (see Fig. 2) to set the required number of banknotes in a batch.
The display shows the set batch size. The counter is ready to count.
2 When counted number of banknotes is less than the set one, you hear an
audio signal, the display shows the actual number of the banknotes and a
three-digit display shows a message «Add». In this case, add banknotes into
the hopper. If the set batch size exceeds the hopper capacity, the counter
stops and the display starts blinking at filling the hopper. After the banknotes
have been removed from the stacker, the counter continues counting if there
are banknotes in the hopper.
To reset the batch size, press the «0» key until the data of a three-digit
display are cleared.
To switch on/off sound signal, press the «0» key within 3 seconds. When
sound mode is on, the message « » appears on indicator and dual
sound signal is given. At switching the mode off – the « » message and
single short signal appear.
4 ADD key (addition mode)
1. When addition mode is activated, the indicator 8 on the control panel
(see Fig. 2) is red.
2. In addition mode the number of just counted banknotes is added to the
number counted earlier.
5 START/CLR key (Start/Clear)
The key START/CLR may be activated only when a manual mode is switched
on (the indicator 7 in the upper corner of the key «MAN» is flashing).
When the banknotes are placed into the hopper and the key START/CLR is
pressed, the counting starts (if the hopper is empty, the message «НР»
appears on indicator shortly).
The second function of key is to clear the counting results (if there is no
error message ERROR message) in any counting mode (manual or
automatic) when the hopper and stacker are empty.
6 MAN key (manual/automatic mode)
1. The key MAN switches the counter in the manual or automatic modes.
2. Press the key MAN to activate a manual mode. The indicator 7 on the
control panel (see Fig. 2) gets red, it means that the manual mode is
activated. To start counting, press the START/CLR key.
3. Press the key to switch off the manual mode. The indicator is fade.
The counter starts counting automatically, when banknotes are placed into
the hopper.

To ensure the operation of the counter is correct, the following actions should
be performed:
1. Make sure that the counter is connected to power supply. Avoid the exposition
to direct sunlight.
2. Switch on the counter, a self-testing process activates. Make sure that the
stacker's wheels 9 (see Fig. 1) and the feeder's rollers are rotating during self-
test; the figures « » appear on the counting and batch displays; indicators of
MAN and ADD keys and UV and AS (for DORS 620 only) are flashing. As
soon as self-test is over, the « » appears on a four-digit display; the
indicators of MAN and ADD keys are fade and there is a sound signal while the
indicators of UV and AS indicate the selected counting mode (for DORS 620).
The device is ready for counting banknotes.
3. Adjust a feeder's clearance to achieve the required thickness of banknotes.
The manufacturer presets the required clearance taking into account the
features of the currency to be counted. However, if the counter stops
frequently during counting and the error messages «Сhn Егг» or «dbL Err»
appear on the display, the screw for adjustment of the thickness of the counted
banknotes 6 (see Fig. 1) shall be slightly turned clockwise (to decrease the
(the indicator 10 of the UV control function is on), if the banknote with an
increased UV fluorescence level has been detected (for example, a CF note
printed on plain paper), the error message «UL Err» is displayed and the
counting stops.
The circle pressing of UV key result in selection of UV control level. The
message for the set control level «UL 1», «UL 2», «UL 3» and «UL OFF» is
displayed shortly on indicator.
The «UL 1» level of sensitivity to UV luminescence is recommended for such
currencies as Euros, US dollars.
The «UL 2», «UL 3» levels are applied at the option of the user for currencies
with a high luminosity in the UV when the counting of genuine notes occurs
stops frequently with the message «UL Err» with the level of control «UL 1».
«UL OFF» mode – the UV control is switched off, the luminescent features of
the note paper are not checked (the indicator 10 of the UV control function
doesn’t burn).
11 AS key for switching on/off the mode of banknotes Anti-Stokes authentication
(see Fig. 2);
Note: AS control is applicable to the limited number of currencies.
When AS control is activated (the indicator 12 burns), if the banknote without Anti-
Stokes features is detected, the error message «AnS Егг» appears on indicator
and the counting stops.
When pressing «AS» key, the short message «AnS On» appears on indicator
if the AS control is switched on; or the message «AnS OFF» if the AS control is
switched off.

clearance). If the «HJ Егг» or «SЕ Егг» messages appear on the display after
counting stopped, the screw for adjustment of the thickness of the counted
banknotes 6 (see Fig. 1) shall be slightly turned counter clockwise (to increase
the clearance).
Use a banknote of good quality, not worn out. Take a banknote in your hands
as shown on Fig.3.
Rotate the feeding wheels shaft and set the position of the rollers as shown on
Fig. 4 – there shouldn’t be ripples in a place where the note passes.
Place the banknote by the short side between the separating and feeding
rollers, as shown on Fig. 5.
The gap between separating and feeding rollers should make one banknote to
pass with a little tension. If one banknote passes very easily, it is necessary to
decrease the gap. Continue gap setting until the banknote passes through rollers
with a little tension.
4. Use the operating keys (see Table 1) to set the required operation.

The counter should be stored in the manufacturer's package in a heated and
ventilated storage room, at the temperature of +5°C to +40°C and a relative
humidity not exceeding 80%.
The counter should be transported in the manufacturer's package by an
automobile or railway transportation (in a covered transport vehicle), by air
transportation in the pressurized modules at the temperature of °C to +50°C, a
relative humidity of the air up to 98%, at the temperature of +25°C and the air
pressure 84 to 107 kPa (630 to 800mmHg).
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
The preventive maintenance includes a partial disassembling of the counter
by a service engineer. The counter requires the maintenance every 90 days. If the
counter works more than one shift a day, the above-mentioned maintenance
should perform more frequently
On a daily basis:
1. Switch off the banknote counter if it is not used.
2. Wipe the external parts of the counter with a dry clean lint-free tissue.
