Thank you for deciding on the rapidcount X 500 banknote counter from ratiotec. You have made a good choice with
the purchase of this quality product. With this device you will be able to count large amounts of banknotes both
quickly and easily.
Please read the operating instructions through carefully to ensure smooth and
fault-free operation. We additionally recommend annual maintenance of the pro-
duct. The ideal counting capacity is limited to 1,4 million banknotes per year.
A special feature of the rapidcount X 500 is the reject stacker, which facilitates
a problem-free counting procedure without interruptions.

Note on feeder rails:
Please ensure that the banknote
feeder rails have been inserted before
starting to operate the device. These are
packed separately in polystyrene in the
rapidcount X 500 packaging. Remove
the banknote feeder rails carefully from
the polystyrene and insert them into the
slot provided.

Control panel
The device has a high-quality TFT colour display with touchscreen surface, which also includes the currency
selection within the user menu. Counting mixed batches of banknotes of varying currencies is also possible.

. CURR: ____________ Brief: Selection and changing the currency (EUR/USD/GBP/RON/CHF).
The touchscreen surface allows easy selection of the individual currencies. The
currency set is shown at the top left of the display.
‘MULT’ (Multi-currency) indicates the following currencies: GBP/USD/EUR. These
currencies can be inserted unsorted at the same time and be counted individually.
‘AUTO’: The rst banknote and its currency serve as the reference; all other bankno-
tes of a dierent currency are ejected to the reject stacker and separated.
Long: Access to user menu.
. MODE: ___________ Selection of counting and operating modes.
MIX CF: Press MODE and select the function MIX CF to carry out a mixed value count
and check.
SDC V: Press MODE and select the function SDCV to carry out sorting and checking
of a currency. The rst banknote serves as reference. All other banknotes are
rejected.
SORT: Press MODE and select the function SORT to count of sorted banknotes inclu-
ding value counting and counterfeit detection.
COUNT: Press MODE and select the function COUNT for counting of sorted banknotes
without counterfeit detection, e.g. foreign currencies.
SDC CF: Press MODE and select the function SDCCF to carry out sorting and checking
of dierent currencies.
MIX VA: Press MODE and select the function MIX VA to carry out a mixed value count
without check.
MIX ADD: Press MODE and select the function MIX ADD to carry out addition of the
quantity counted to the total value of the banknotes.

The CLEAR button takes you back a step in the user menu.
. START: ___________ Start counting procedure
Start of the counting procedure/restarting of the counting procedure following error
message.
. AUTOSTART: ______ You can activate/deactivate the device’s automatic counting start by holding down
the 6button.
. SPEED: __________ Speed setting by pressing the 7 button for three seconds.
Setting the speed mode with the touch function: 1. 800 | 2. 900 | 3. 1,000 banknotes
per minute.
. PRINT: ___________ Print the result of the count by pressing the 8button for three seconds, after which a
brief alarm will sound.
. S/N: ____________ Print out the serial number by pressing the button for three seconds, after which a
brief alarm will sound.
Press the button, to switch ON/OFF the serial number identication function. The
serial number recognition is in all orientations possible.
. FACE/ORI: ________ Press the button for three seconds to select the side FACE and the orientation
ORI.
FACE refers to the side of the banknotes (front or back).

On switching on the Mix mode, the banknotes can be counted and sorted, dierenti-
ated according to FACE or ORI.
Example: If the side of the banknotes FACE is set, the banknotes that were inserted
according to orientation ORI fall separately into the reject stacker and are dieren-
tiated from the other banknotes.

. BAT: ____________ The batch function allows you to count an exact number of banknotes as a bundle,
e.g. 10 notes from a larger stack of banknotes.The batch counting of the banknotes
can be set independently of the counting mode. The device stops the counting
procedure automatically, as soon as the preset batch has been reached.
Value Batch (VAL BAT): In order to set a value batch yourself, press MODE and select
the function VAL BAT. Enter the value batch required from 1 to 99999 using the
keypad buttons .
. TOP ARROW: ___ Long press of button: Select reject stacker (Report RJ).
. BOTTOM ARROW: _ Long press of button: Select collection stacker (Report RC).
. TIME SETTING: ___ Press the CURR button for three seconds in order to call up the user menu and to set
the time.

Operation
1. Press the CURR button for three seconds to call up the user menu.
2. Press the ARROW buttons to navigate the menu. Then you can conrm the setting with the CURR button.
3. After the adjustment is completed, press the CLEAR button to exit the menu.
Connect the mains cable and switch the device on. The device will now run a self-test. After the test is successfully
completed, the device is ready for use. If error messages occur, refer to pages 8-9 of the user manual for an overview
of the error messages with solution.
Fan the banknotes slightly and place the stack of banknotes to be counted in the middle of the banknote feeder.

Do not count damp or serverly damaged notes.
Do not count broken, deformation notes which may cause jammed.
Check whether on a bill or mixed with a paper clips, stitching needle, rubber bands etc. to avoid the counting error
or notes jammed.
Place the notes orderly in the correct way shows below.
Bundle the banknotes and place the banknote stack to be counted centered on the banknote feeder after adjusting
the feeder rails for the banknotes.

To guarantee a perfect operation, regular cleaning and maintenance of the device is imperative. Deposits that build
up over time, such as dust on optical sensors, can lead to an increasing number of error messages.
Use the correct cleaning set and the compressed air spray from ratiotec.

vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für die Banknotenzählmaschine rapidcount X 500 von ratiotec entschieden haben. Mit
dem Kauf dieses Qualitätsproduktes haben Sie eine gute Wahl getroen. Sie sind in der Lage mit diesem Gerät
schnell und komfortabel große Summen Banknoten zu zählen.
Für einen störungsfreien und fehlerlosen Betrieb lesen Sie bitte die Bedienungs-
anleitung sorgfältig durch. Wir empfehlen außerdem, die Maschine einmal im Jahr
durch den ratiotec Service warten zu lassen. Das optimale jährliche Zählvolumen ist
auf 1,4 Millionen Banknoten pro Jahr begrenzt.

Bitte vergewissern Sie sich, dass vor
Inbetriebnahme der Maschine die Bank-
noteneinzugsschienen einzusetzen
sind. Diese benden sich separat im
Styropor der Verpackung der rapidcount
X 500. Entnehmen Sie vorsichtig die

Währungsauswahl innerhalb des Benutzermenüs erfolgt. Auch das Zählen von gemischten Banknotenstapeln

. CURR: ____________ Kurz: Auswahl und Wechseln der Währung (EUR/USD/GBP/RON/CHF).
Mit der Touchscreen-Oberfläche ist ein problemloses Auswählen der einzelnen Wäh-
rungen möglich. Die aktuell eingestellte Währung erscheint links oben im Display.
„MULT“ (Multi-Currency) steht für die folgenden Währungen: GBP/USD/EUR. Diese
Währungen können gleichzeitig gemischt aufgelegt und dierenziert gezählt werden.
„AUTO“ die erste Banknote und ihre Währung gilt als Referenz, alle weiteren Bankno-
ten mit einer anderen Währung werden im Rejectfach ausgeworfen und dierenziert.
Lang: Zugri auf Benutzermenü.
. MODE: ___________ Auswahl des Zähl- und Betriebsmodus.
MIX CF: Drücken Sie MODE und wählen Sie die Funktion MIX CF aus, um eine gemischte
Wertzählung und Prüfung vorzunehmen.
SDC V: Drücken Sie MODE und wählen Sie die FunktionSDC V aus, um eine Sortierung und
Prüfung einer Währung vorzunehmen. Die erste Banknote gilt als Referenz. Alle anderen
Banknoten werden aussortiert.
SORT: Drücken Sie MODE und wählen Sie die Funktion SORT aus, um eine Zählung sortenrei-
ner Banknotenstapel inkl. Wertzählung und Prüfung vorzunehmen.
COUNT: Drücken Sie MODE und wählen Sie die Funktion COUNT aus, um eine Stückzählung
ohne Prüfung sortenreiner Banknotenstapel, z.B. zum Zählen von Fremdwährung vorzuneh-
men.
SDC CF: Drücken Sie MODE und wählen Sie die FunktionSDCCF aus, um eine Sortierung und
Prüfung unterschiedlicher Währungen vorzunehmen.
MIX VA: Drücken Sie MODE und wählen Sie die Funktion MIX VA aus, um eine gemischte
Wertzählung ohne Prüfung vorzunehmen.
MIX ADD: Drücken Sie MODE und wählen Sie die Funktion MIX ADD aus, um eine Addition
der Zählmenge auf den Gesamtwert der Banknoten vorzunehmen.

Die Banknoten können beim Einschalten des Mix Modus gezählt und sortiert wer-
den, dierenziert nach FACE oder ORI.
Bsp.: Wird die Ausrichtung der Banknoten (FACE) eingestellt, fallen die Banknoten,
die nach derOrientierung (ORI) eingelegt wurden separat ins Rejectfach und werden
von den anderen Banknoten dierenziert.

. BAT: ____________ Die Bündelfunktion ermöglicht es Ihnen, eine von Ihnen vorab bestimmte Menge
an Banknoten (z.B. 10 Stück) aus einem größeren Stapel Banknoten abzuzählen.
Das stückgenaue Zählen der Banknoten als Bündel lässt sich unabhängig vom
Zählmodus einstellen. Die Maschine stoppt automatisch den Zählvorgang, sobald
der voreingestellte Batch erreicht wurde.
Wert-Batch (VAL BAT): Um selber einen Wert-Batch einzustellen, drücken Sie MODE
und wählen Sie die Funktion VAL BAT aus. Geben Sie über die Zahlentasten 0-9 den
gewünschten Wert-Batch von 1-99999 ein.

Nach Einschalten der rapidcount X 500 führt die Maschine einen Selbsttest durch. Nach erfolgreichem Test ist das
Gerät einsatzbereit. Falls Fehlermeldungen auftreten sollten, nden Sie auf den Seiten 16-17 der Bedienungsanlei-
tung eine Übersicht der Fehlermeldungen mit Lösung.
Fächern Sie die Banknoten leicht auf und legen Sie den zu zählenden Banknotenstapel mittig in den Banknoten-
einzug.
1. Halten Sie die CURR-Taste 3 Sekunden lang gedrückt, um in das Benutzermenü zu gelangen.
2. Drücken Sie die PFEILTASTEN, um im Menü zu navigieren. Anschließend können Sie die Einstellungen mit der
CURR-Taste bestätigen.
3. Nachdem die Einstellung abgeschlossen ist, drücken Sie die CLEAR-Taste, um das Benutzermenü zu verlas-
sen.

Zählen Sie keine feuchten oder schwer beschädigten Banknoten.
Zählen Sie keine kaputten oder zerrissenen Banknoten, da diese zu Papierstau führen können.
Befestigen Sie die Banknoten nicht mit Büroklammern, Nadeln oder Gummibändern und legen Sie keine Fremd-
körper in die Maschine (z.B. Münzen), um eine Fehlermeldung zu vermeiden.
Platzieren Sie die Banknoten ordnungsgemäß wie unten gezeigt.
Bündeln Sie die Banknoten und legen Sie den zu zählenden Banknotenstapel mittig auf den Banknoteneinzug auf,
nachdem Sie die Einzugsschienen für die Banknoten justiert haben.

Platzierung der Banknoten
Damit ein einwandfreier Betrieb gewährleistet werden kann, sind regelmäßige Reinigungen und Wartungen des Ge-
räts unabdingbar. Die mit der Zeit entstehenden Ablagerungen, wie z.B. Staub auf der optischen Sensorik, können
zu einer Häufung der Fehlermeldungen führen.
Nutzen Sie das passende Reinigungsset und das Druckluftspray von ratiotec.

Überprüfen Sie den Banknoteneinzug und entfernen Sie die
Banknoten aus dem Einzug.
Überprüfen Sie den Startsensor und reinigen Sie den Sensor.
Sensor Stacker Fehler beim Banknotenauswurf-Sensor.
Entfernen Sie die Banknoten aus dem Banknotenauswurf und
überprüfen und reinigen Sie den Banknotenauswurf-Sensor.

MIX CF: Premere MODE e selezionare la funzione MIXCF per eseguire un conteggio misto con
valorizzazione e verica del falso.
SDC V: Premere MODE e selezionare la funzione SDCV per eseguire l‘ordinamento e il
controllo di una valuta. La prima banconota serve come riferimento. Tutte le altre banconote
sono riutate.
SORT: Premere MODE e selezionare la funzione SORT per il conteggio delle banconote ordi-
nate dello stesso taglio incluso il conteggio dei valori e il rilevamento delle contraazioni.
COUNT: Premere MODE e selezionare la funzione COUNT per il conteggio delle banconote
ordinate dello stesso taglio senza rilevamento di contraazioni, ad esempio valuta straniera.
SDC CF: Premere MODE e selezionare la funzione SDC CF per eseguire l‘ordinamento e il
controllo di diverse valute.
MIX VA: Premere MODE e selezionare la funzione MIXVA per eseguire un conteggio di valori
misti senza controllo della contraazione.
MIX ADD: Premere MODE e selezionare la funzione MIX ADD (somma) per sommare al
conteggio eettuato al valore totale delle banconote già contate.
