IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances,
especially when children are present, basic
safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
KEEP AWAY FROM WATER!
DANGER - As with most electrical appliances,
electrical parts are electrically live even when
the switch is off. To reduce the risk of death by
electric shock:
• Always “unplug it” immediately after using.
• Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
• Do not place or store appliance where
it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
• Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.
• If an appliance falls into water, "unplug it" imme-
diately. Do not reach into the water.
WARNING – To reduce the risk of burns, electro-
cution, fire, or injury to persons:
• An appliance should never be left unattended
when plugged in.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be re-
placed by the manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid
a hazard.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of expe-
rience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
• Use this appliance only for its intended use as
described in this manual. Do not use attach-
ments not recommended by the manufacturer.
• Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged
cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if it
has been dropped, damaged, or dropped into
water. Return the appliance to a service center
for examination and repair.
• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do
not wrap the cord around the appliance.
• Never use while sleeping.
• Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol
(spray) products are being used or where oxygen
is being administered.

sensitive areas.
• Do not place appliance on any surface while it
is operating.

couch, where the openings may be blocked. Keep
the air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
• Never drop or insert any object into any ope-
ning or hole in the appliance.
• Do not touch the posts that hold the iron. They
are hot.
• This curling iron and clip are hot when in use. Do
not let eyes and bare skin touch heated surfaces.
• Do not place the heated curling iron directly on
any surface while it is hot or plugged in. Use the
stand provided (integrated stand of the handle).
• For Household use only.
• WARNING – Do not use this appliance
near bathtubs, showers, basins or other
vessels containing water.
• When the appliance is used in a bathroom,
unplug it after use since the proximity of water
presents a hazard even when the appliance is
switched off.
• For additional protection, the installation of a
residual current device (RCD) having a rated
residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA
is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the
bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.

• Burn hazard. Keep appliance out of reach from
young children, particularly during use and
cool down.

supply, never leave it unattended.
• Always place the appliance with the stand, if
any, on a heat-resistant, stable flat surface.

SERVICING OF DOUBLE-INSULATED APPLIANCES
• In a double-insulated appliance, two systems
of insulation are provided instead of grounding.
• No grounding means is provided on a double-
insulated appliance, nor should a means for
grounding be added to the appliance. Servicing
a double-insulated appliance requires extreme
care and knowledge of the system, and should

be done only by qualified service personnel.
• Replacement parts for a double-insulated appli-
ance must be identical to the parts they replace.
• A double-insulated appliance is marked with the
words “DOUBLEINSULATION” or “DOUBLE INSU-
LATED.” The symbol (square within a
square)
may also be marked on the appliance.
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

ments which snap easily into the handle to create
a variety of styles.
Smoothes & Shines: Ionic Technology uses the
power of negative ions to reduce frizz for smoother,
shinier tresses.
Adjustable Settings: Digital temperature control
allows for custom styling on all hair types (heats
up to 450°F/230°C).
Heat-Resistant Bag: Keeps everything neatly stored.
STYLING TIPS
Wand:
• Section hair into clean, 2" (5 cm) sections.
• Begin styling at the front.
• Point the tip of the tool downward and starting
at the root, wrap the hair around the barrel,
leaving about an inch (2.5 cm) at the end of the
hair section free to hold on to with your fingers.
• Hold in place for several seconds, until desired
wave or curl is achieved.
• Release hair and pull tool upward. Repeat with
all sections.
Curling Iron:
• Section hair into clean, 2" (5 cm) sections.
• Begin styling at the front.
• Clamp hair from the end of the section with the

clamp facing downward.
• Pull through to the end of the section to create
tension and roll upward, holding the iron hori-
zontally and wrapping the hair evenly around
the barrel.
• Hold for a few seconds, then holding the iron
vertically gently open and close the clamp and
pull downward to release the section.
• TIP: Taking smaller sections will create a tighter
curl pattern and larger sections will create a
looser curl pattern. Experiment with the size of
your sections until you find the perfect curl size
for you!
Waver:
• Section hair into clean, 3" (7.5 cm) sections.
• Hold the tool horizontally, press to open the clamp
and capture the top of the hair section between
the barrels and clamp.
• Release clamp and hold in place for several
seconds until desired definition is achieved.
• Open the clamp and move down the section.
Repeat until the whole section is waved.
• For a deeper, more defined wave, keep the section
clamped a few seconds longer.
Recommended Temperatures:
Fine/Damaged/Processed Hair: Up to 400°F (200°C)
Normal/Medium Hair: 410-420°F (210-220°C)
Thick/Coarse Hair: 430-450°F (220-230°C)

This iron has no user-serviceable parts. Servicing
should only be performed by an authorized
service representative. While not in use, ensure
the iron has completely cooled before being
stored in a safe, dry location.
For the safe usage of the iron, do the following
every day:
• Check the cord and never use it if any parts
are split, torn, or damaged.
• Check the plug and never use if it is cracked,
split or damaged.
• Check the plug pins & never use if transformed
or damaged.
• Check the control panel and do not use if
cracked, split, broken or damaged.
• When not in use for long periods of time, clean
and dry the entire iron using the steps listed
below and store in a cool, dry place. When
ready to use, follow the maintenance steps
above, confirming each function of the iron.
DAILY CLEANING
• Disconnect the iron from the power source,
wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
• Warning: Do not wipe the iron with thinner,
benzene, gasoline, lamp oil, or other solvents or
