Safety and guidance notes
A. Allwiringtobeinaccordancewith
thecurrentI.E.E.Regulations,orthe
appropriate standards of your
country and MUST be installed by a
suitablyqualiedperson.
B. TheHandDryershouldbeprovided
with a local isolator switch capable
ofdisconnectingallpoles,havinga
contactseparationofatleast3mm.
C. Ensurethatmainssupply(Voltage,
Frequency,andPhase)complies
withtheratinglabel.
D. The Hand Dryer should only be used
inconjunctionwithxedwiring.
E. The Hand Dryer should not be
used where it is liable to be subject
to direct water spray for prolonged
periodsoftime.
F. This appliance can be used by
childrenaged8andaboveand
personswithreducedphysical,
sensory or mental capabilities or
lackofexperienceandknowledge
iftheyhavebeengivensupervision
or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and
understandthehazardsinvolved.
Childrenshouldbesupervisedto
ensure that they do not play with
theappliance.Cleaninganduser
maintenance shall not be made by
childrenwithoutsupervision.
H. Stationaryappliancesnotttedwith
means for disconnection from the
supplymainshavingacontact
separationinallpolesthatprovide
fulldisconnectionunderover
voltagecategoryIII,theinstructions
state that means for disconnection
mustbeincorporatedinthexed
wiring in accordance with the
wiringrules.

Servicing instructions
Theminimumserviceperiodforthe
2470panelshouldbeevery3months
ormorefrequentintervalsasexperience
dictates:
1. Isolate the Hand Dryer unit from the
electricitysupplybeforeservicing.
2. Removedust,uffandanyother
build up of foreign matter from
inlet and outlet grille areas
(Illustration3).

Toinstallthe2470unitpleasefollow
the steps below and outlined in
Illustration 2:
1. Createanapertureinthewallto
the dimensions outlined in the
Mounting Instructions(Page2).
2. Unattachthefasciaofthe2470
unit by unclicking the back of the
2 hinges positioned in the right
handsideofthebackbox.
3. Unscrewthecoverofthehanddryer
and the unit itself and take out of
thebackbox.
Wiring instructions
Alwaysensurethattheinstallation
conforms to the current edition of
theI.E.E.wiringregulations,BS7671
(UK)ortheappropriatestandardsin
yourcountry.Ensurethattheunitis
separately fused with a suitably rated
fuse and that it is connected to the
supply with a double pole isolating
switchhavingacontactseparationof
atleast3mm.Careshouldbetaken
that single insulated conductors
cannot come into contact with the
mountingsurface.
4. Offerthebackboxintotheaperture
inthewallandxitinplace
through the holes on the side and
backofthebackbox.
5. Locate the hand dryer unit into the
backboxandconnectthewiringto
the unit as outlined in the Wiring
Instructions(Page2).Reattachthe
fascia by re-clicking the hinges back
intoposition.
6. Closethefasciapanelandusingthe
2450Kkeyprovided,lockthepanel
closedviathelockpositionedin
thehanddryerchute.
