Display Screen:
NOTE: The “C:” size may very from cutter to cutter.
C: Current cut position.
The backgauges current position.
PROG: Program number.
There are 9 programs from 1 - 9. The PROG: 0 is for parameter
setting, any changes on the parameter should be made in the
configuration mode.
1: 2: 3: 4: 5: 6: 7: 8: Cut position.
It allows for 9 programs with 8 cuts each. Two or more programs can
be combined. A total of 72 cuts can be stored.

Instruction for Keys:
(0-9) : To key in a size.
(PROG) :
Selection programs. There are 9 programs from 1 - 9.
For example: If you want to select the program number 1, press the PROG
button, (the screen shows PROG: ❑), then press 1 to recall that program from
memory. The cursor (❑) will be flashing over the last digit on cut position #1
(00”00❑).
(LAST):
Last cut position. You can use this key to select cut position, checking,
correction, and memory. i.e. 1: 04”000 2 : 05”000, press (LAST), the
cursor will shift to the previous (or last) cut position.
(NEXT):
Next cut position. Use this key to select cut numbers, checking,
correction and memory.
( END ) : When you finish a program, press the (END) button. It will give you a
confirmation sound. Once the key is pressed it will clear all
cut numbers in the back and the screen appears the first cut mark.
: Fast forward. Press & hold down the key, the backgauge will move
fast forward.
: Slow forward. Press & hold down the key, the backgauge will move
forward slowly.
: Fast reverse. When the key is pressed and held down, the backgauge
moves fast to the rear and stops at the rear point, after the key is
released the backgauge moves forward 2 mm automatically.

: Slow reverse. When the key is pressed and held down, the backgauge
moves slowly to the rear and stops at the rear point, after the key is
released the backgauge moves forward 2 mm automatically.
: Brake Release. 660 model: The key need not be pressed, just push
in the hand wheel and then you can make a micro adjustment. On the 486
model: when you make micro a adjustment you need to press & hold down this key.
: Cut & Store. First select the program number, then press (CUT &
STORE), the screen shows C & S. You can now setup the required cut
size by pressing (FWD/REV) keys and using the hand wheel. When the cut size is
selected, make a cut and the cut position will be stored automatically.
: Auto. You have to confirm the start position of the shift before this key
is pressed. Press the key, it will store the desired cut positions in order.
: Run. In AUTO mode, press (RUN), it will run (or skip) over a certain
cut size which is not used, and will go to the next cut in memory.
: Minus (−)can be used together with Multiplication (×). These
keys are used for making multiple cuts into more pieces (i.e. business
cards).

How to use in Manual Operation:
Turn on the power to the cutter, wait until the backgauge moves back and will
recalibrate the position and this display appears:
NOTE: There will be a cursor (❑) flashing over at the last number, this is the work area.
Manual mode has two operating controls:
1) The backgauge moves with the manual keys
2) If you press (0 - 9) entering 17000, the screen appears:
Press (RUN), the backgauge will move to the requested position.
Making a New Program:
Turn on the power to the cutter, wait until the backgauge moves back and will
recalibrate the position and this display appears:
NOTE: There will be a cursor (❑) flashing over at the last number, this is the work area.
Select a program number from 1-9, if you press (PROG) (1) this screen appears:

If you want to make 3 cuts, the first cut is at 17.0”, the second cut at 15.5”, and the last
cut at 15.0”, follow the procedure as listed below:
Press (1)+(7)+(0)+(0)+(0) (NEXT), the following screen appears:
Press (1)+(5)+(5)+(0)+(0) (NEXT) screen appears:
Press (1)+(5)+(0)+(0)+(0) (NEXT) and screen appears:
Press (END) and it will beep 4 times, then re-press (END) to store the program, then the
screen will change to:
If you want to start cutting, press (AUTO), and backgauge will move to the first cut
position and the following screen appears:
Place your paper and make the first cut, after completing the cut, the backgauge moves to
the second cut position.
Adjust the paper for the 2nd cut, after completing the cut, the backgauge will move to the
3rd cut position.
Adjust the paper for the 3rd cut & make your cut, the backgauge will then “push-out”
your stack automatically. Then it moves to the first cut position and readies itself for the
next cut cycle.

After you have finished all cuts, press (AUTO) to remove the automatic backgauge
movement, AUTO will disappear on the display, and screen appears:
NOTE: If you make a mistake and want to correct the programmed cut positions,
use the (LAST) and (NEXT) keys to move the cursor to the position that you
require, and re-enter new cut sizes, then press (NEXT).

How to use the Cut & Store Program:
Turn on the power to the cutter, wait until the backgauge moves back and will
recalibrate the position and this display appears:
NOTE: There will be a cursor (❑) flashing over at the last number, this is the work area.
Select a program number from 1-9, if you press (PROG)+(2) this screen appears:

Use the manual keys
to the first cut position, say 15.0”. Then make a cut and this screen appears:
Move the backgauge to the second cut position, say 14.5” then make a cut and
the following screen appears:

Move the backgauge to the third cut position, say 13.0” and make a cut, the following
screen is displayed:
After you finish storing all cuts, press
Press (END) it will beep 4 times, then re-press (END) to store the program and this
screen appears:
If you want to start cutting, press (AUTO), the backgauge will move to the first cut
position and the following screen appears:
Place your paper and make the first cut, after completing the cut, the backgauge moves to
the second cut position.
Adjust the paper for the 2nd cut, after completion the cut, the backgauge will move to the
3rd cut position.
Adjust the paper for the 3rd cut & make your cut, the backgauge will then “push-out”
your stack automatically. Then it moves to the first cut position and readies itself for
next cut cycle.
After you have finished all cuts, press (AUTO) to remove the automatic backgauge
movement, AUTO will disappear on the display, and this screen appears:

How to use Step and Repeat Program:
Turn on the power to the cutter, wait until the backgauge moves back and will
recalibrate the position and this display appears:
NOTE: There will be a cursor (❑) flashing over at the last number, this is the work area.
Select a program number from 1-9, if you press (PROG)+(3) screen appears:
If the first cut will be at 14.0” and you would like to divide it into 2.0” labels x 7, please
do the following:
Press (1)+(4)+(0)+(0)+(0) and (NEXT), the following screen appears:
Press (−)+(2)+(0)+(0)+(0) and (NEXT) and this screen appears:
Press (×) (6) and (NEXT) and the screen will change to:

Press (END) it will beep 4 times, then re-press (END) to store the program, and the

If you want to start cutting, press (AUTO), the backgauge will move to the 14.0”
position and the following screen appears:
After finishing the first cut, the backgauge will move in forward 2.0” and the following
screen appears:
After you have made 7 consecutive cuts, the backgauge will automatically “push-out”
your stack of paper and moves to the first cut position at 14.0”, then you can start the
second cutting cycle:
After you have finished all cuts, press (AUTO) to remove the automatic backgauge
movement, AUTO will disappear on the display, and this screen appears:

How to use Step and Repeat Program with a Gutter Trim:
Turn on the power to the cutter, wait until the backgauge moves back and will
recalibrate the position and this display appears:
NOTE: There will be a cursor (❑) flashing over at the last number, this is the work area.
Select a program number from 1-9, if you press (PROG)+(4) this screen appears:
If the first cut were at 8.75” and you would like to divide it into 2.0” name cards with a
0.25” trim in between for 4 times each, please do as follows:
Press (8)+(7)+(5)+(0) and (NEXT), the following screen appears:

Press (END) it will beep 4 times, then re-press (END) to store the program and the

If you want to make a cut, press (AUTO), the backgauge will move to 8.75” position and
the following screen appears:
Make the first cut and the backgauge moves in forward 2.0”, the following is on the
screen:
After the second cut is made, the backgauge moves in forward 0.25” and the following
appears:
After you finish your 2.0” x 4 pieces & 0.25” x 3 trims, the backgauge moves to the first
cut position at 8.75”, then you can make the second cycle cut:
After you have finished all cuts, press (AUTO) to remove the automatic backgauge
movement, AUTO will disappear on the display, and this screen appears:
NOTE: If you want to correct the programmed cut positions, press keys (LAST)
and (NEXT) to move the black square to the position which require, and re-enter
new cut sizes, then press (NEXT).

How to Recall Existing Programs:
You can recall a program, which has been stored in your MARK-II by selecting the
required program, then press (AUTO). Please refer to previous pages for operation
procedure. After you have finished all cuts, press (AUTO) to remove the automatic
backgauge movement.
