WEIGHING SCALE

Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain for future reference.
• Avoiding exposure to extreme heat or cold, your scale works better when operated
at normal room temperature.
• Allow sufcient warm up time. Usually 30 seconds to give the internal components
time to stabilize before use.
• Keep your scale in a clean environment. Dust, dirt, moisture, vibration, air currents
and a close proximity to other electronic equipment can all cause an adverse effect
on the reliability and accuracy of your scale.
• Handle with care. Gently apply all items to be weighed onto the tray top.
• Avoid shaking, dropping or otherwise shocking the scale. This is a precision
instrument and must be handled with extreme care.
• Only operate the scale on a stable, at, vibration free surface.
• Always remove the batteries if the scales are not to be used for long periods.

TARE WEIGHING:
• Turn on scale as described above.
• Press the [UNITS] key to switch between the weighing units if required.
• Wait until the LCD displays “0.0”.
• Place the “tare item” (eg: container) on the platform.
• Place scale on a horizontal at surface.
• Press [POWER] key to turn on the scale.
• Wait until the LCD displays “0.0”.
• Press the [UNITS] key to switch between the weighing units.
• Put the object(s) to be weighed on the weighing platform.

• After the weight is displayed press [POWER/TARE] briey until “0.0” is displayed.
• Add the “net-weight-item” (product to be weighed) into the tare item container and
the screen will display the weight.
• To exit tare mode, remove all items being weighed and briey press [POWER/
TARE] and the display shows “0.0”.
• The scales will power off after 2 minutes of inactivity or press POWER/TARE key
for 1 second to power off immediately.
MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the casing
• Wipe using a moist cloth or sponge. Do not use solvents as these may damage the
casing.
• Avoid scratching the LCD screen.
• Do not immerse in water or allow moisture to enter the casing.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
• When LCD display starts to fade or the battery symbol is lit, it is necessary to
replace the batteries. However, measurement may still be made for several hours
although accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
• Slide the battery cover on the rear panel away from the instrument and remove the
batteries.
• Replace with new AAA batteries noting the correct polarity and ret the cover.
