Before you install this kit — Read and understand all
instructions, warnings, cautions, and notes contained in
this installation instruction guide. Consult your vehicle
owner’s manual for proper disconnection of electrical and
lifting of vehicle if required for installation of this product.
This install may require some technical skills and
knowledge of basic mechanical work. If you do not feel that
you are capable of performing this install please take this
product to a trained professional.

Proper installation of this kit required knowledge of the factory
recommended procedures for removal and installation of original
equipment components. We recommend that the factory shop manual
and any special tools needed to service your vehicle be on hand during
the installation. Installation of this kit without proper knowledge of the
factory recommended procedures may affect the performance of these
components and the safety of the vehicle

Inspect all contents of this package to make sure product is not damaged
and all installation hardware has been included. If parts are missing from
kit, please be prepared to provide the following information
1. Name of purchase location
2. Bar Code on side of box
3. Date above bar code
4. Date inside box cover

Little skill level required, however,
additional assistance is needed
for removal and installation of
bumpers.

Time to install this should only
take about three and a half
hours.

STEP 1 | If equipped with factory bed
sliders, use a 15mm socket to remove the
bottom bolts dropping bottom part of
slider.
If the truck is not equipped with these,
skip to step 3.
Repeat on other side.

STEP 2 | Remove trailer plug wiring.
Squeeze tab on plug and pull away. They
can be difcult, so go slow and ensure no
damage to plug.
STEP 3 | At the top of the driver side
frame rail is the main bumper harness.
Remove by pulling the red locking clip
back and gently pulling the plug so as not
to damage the wiring.
Use a trim clip tool if necessary.

STEP 4 | Unclip the main harness
from the frame or any other mounting
points that may get caught in the bumper
removal process.
This will vary depending on the options
the truck has (sensors, towing package,
etc.).
STEP 5 | Remove the two T50 torx
bolts on the bottom of the bumper.

STEP 6 | Remove the rear license
plate to access the two 16mm bolts
attaching the bumper to the hitch.
STEP 7 | Using the 16mm socket,
remove the four bolts ((2) on each side),
holding the bumper to the hitch.
Note: The bumper will become loose from the
vehicle. Use extra caution to prevent damage
or possible injury.
STEP 8 | If equipped with a bumper
mounted hitch ball, remove this at this
time.
If equipped with the factory Class III hitch,
you can skip this step.

STEP 9 | With assistance, remove
factory bumper and set off to the side.
STEP 10 | If equipped with factory
bed slider mounts and factory tow hooks
remove both at this time.
Use an 18mm wrench to remove the
bolts securing the factory tow hooks and
remove them.
Use a 16mm and 18mm socket the remove
the bolts securing the bed slider mounts.
If you do not have these options, skip the
necessary steps.

STEP 11 | Push on tap to release
light from housing.
STEP 12 | Using a push pin removal
tool, remove the harness from the
bumper. The amount of pins will vary
depending on if equipped with sensors or
not.
STEP 13 | Remove factory 4/7pin
trailer plug by pushing in both sides of
the metal clip to release the plug.

STEP 14 | Depending on your
specic vehicle, it may be necessary to
shave a small tab off your license plate
lights to work with our mountng brackets.
If you have this small tab on top of the
wider section of the light, it will need to be
removed.
Using a le or sand paper, shave down
small tab on both license plate lights
until completely at.
STEP 15 | Once smooth, remove the
license plate light mount that is installed
on the bumper with a #4 allen head and
10mm socket.
Install the light carefully to not break off
the lower tab on the light and ensure light
is tight and sits ush onto bracket.

STEP 16 | Install the trailer wiring
harness plug by pressing it into the place
through the bumper.
It should “snap” into place.
STEP 17 | Install the light brackets
into bumper by using a 4mm allen bit and
10mm wrench..
Wide part of the light should be facing up,
and plug should be facing towards the
back of the bumper.
If you did not have to shave down the
tab on your lights, these should “snap”
into place, with no need to remove the
mounting bracket.
Begin by unpacking all items and inspecting
for missing pieces or damage. If you have any
concerns, please contact the company the
product was purchased from. Extra hardware
may be included with the product.

STEP 18 | If you are installing
pod lights, do so at this time using the
hardware provided with the light.
NOTE: For our install, we are using 3” Elite
Series pod lights.

STEP 19 | If you have sensors, install
the bezels on the DV8 bumper in the
orientation they were removed from the
factory bumper.
Depending on your specic vehicles
sensors, the sensor bezels may clip into
place very easily, or it may be necessary
to add a small amount of silicone to keep
the bezel in place.
STEP 20 | Install the sensors into
their respective bezels by pressing them
gently into the bezel.
They should “snap” into place.

STEP 21 | Use zipties to secure the
wiring to the bumper for a cleaner install.
This will also ensure the wiring does not
become pinched when mounting the
bumper.
STEP 22 | Install the license plate
using the provided M6 hardware with a
4mm allen bit and 10mm wrench/socket.
STEP 23 | Install the at nuts onto
the upper mounting hole on each side of
the bumper.
They may require force to get them into
place.

STEP 24 | With assistance, lift the
bumper to the vehicle and loosely secure
it using the provided M10 hardware.
Note: Assistance is recommended to prevent
injury or damage to the product and vehicle.
STEP 25 | Use a 16mm and 17mm
socket with a 6mm allen bit to secure
the hardware holding the bumper to the
vehicle.
STEP 26 | Install the connector for
the trailer wiring harness located above
the crossmember by pressing it into
place.
Install the connector for the bumper
wiring harness located along the
passenger frame rail by pressing it into
place.
These should “snap” into place.

STEP 27 | Install the trailer wiring
harness to the trailer harness plug by
pressing it into place.
It should “snap” into place.
Install the connectors for
the license plate lights by pressing them
into place.
It should “snap” into place.
STEP 28 | Double check tment and
all hardware is secure.

of the 20+ Jeep JT Gladiator MTO Series
Rear Bumper.
