
Installation
1.) Install the power distribution unit in a rack mount environment using DVI-7520-RMK (purchased
separately). Care must be taken to ensure that the airow is not restricted in any way. (2)
2.) Connect the AC power input cable to a power source and to the power distribution unit.
3.) Connect devices to be powered to the DC outputs of the unit using the appropriate power
supply extension cables (see page 4). (3)
4.) Turn the power distribution unit ON using the power switch at the rear of the unit. Check to
make sure the power LED on the front panel is lit.
5.) The unit is ready for use.
Note 3: WARNING: The DVI-7520-PDU provides +12VDC outputs. Take care to avoid connecting any 5VDC
devices to these +12VDC outputs as this may cause damage and system failure.
Product Overview
1. Power LED Continuously lit when unit is receiving power and switched ON.
2. AC Power Input Connect supplied AC power cord securely to unit.
3. Power Switch This switch turns the unit ON / OFF. Lights red when turned ON.
4. DC Power Outputs (1) 2-pin Phoenix connectors. See page 4 for more details.
5. Ventilation Holes (2) Allow airow through the device.
6. Grounding Screw Attach a ground (earth) connection to the unit with this screw.
7. Mounting Holes (underneath) Use the included mounting screws to attach the unit to a rack mount
kit (p.n. DVI-7520-RMK –must be purchased separately).
Note 1: Each output is rated for +12 VDC / 2A (24 watts)
maximum. If using DC power cables other than those
provided with this unit, use 18 AWG wire and observe
proper polarity as shown on page 4.
Note 2: WARNING: In order to ensure proper operation
and long term reliability, care must be taken to ensure
that the airow is not restricted in any way.
