. Preparing the radio for use
Carefully remove the radio from the packaging. Do not drop
the radio! Otherwise it could be damaged beyond repair.
.. Inserting the batteries
1If the radio is turned on: Press the on/o switch once.
2Take the cover o the battery compartment on the
back of the radio. To do this pull the cover down.
3Open the battery compartment.
4Place two AAA/LR/Micro batteries in the battery
compartment. Please insert the batteries in the bat-
tery compartment as shown in the picture.
5Close the battery compartment again.
6Slide the cover to its original position. You should
hear a click when the cover is moved into the proper
position. Now the radio is ready for operation.

Úplayback volume decreases without having adjusted
the volume control knob

e button battery has to be replaced if the display
becomes weak or disappears completely.
In order to obtain maximum performance from the radio:
always replace both batteries.
.. Positioning or hanging the radio
You can either stand the radio or hang it.
To place the radio in standing position using the stand
included in delivery:
Place the radio in the stand included in delivery. Only
place the radio on a level, scratchproof, non-slip surface.

To hang the radio using the suction hook included in
delivery:
1Press the suction hook onto a smooth, clean, non-
oily surface. Suitable surfaces include tiled walls or
mirrors.
|Warning!
Please make sure that the selected surface is smooth,
clean and free from oil. Otherwise the suction hook
could loose traction and the radio could fall down. is
could cause the radio to be damaged beyond repair!
2Subsequently hang the radio on the suction hook
using the eyelet.
If you want to remove the suction hook again: Carefully
pull the suction hook from the surface.

shock and constant vibrations could lead to malfunctions
and long-term damage.
. Radio operation
.. Receiving radio stations
To receive a radio station:
1Turn on the radio by pressing the on/o switch.
2Press the scan button to scan for the next available
radio station. Each time you press the scan button,
the radio will scan for the next available station.
To return to the rst received radio station: Press
the Reset button once.
3Adjust the volume by pressing the buttons Volume+
or Volume–.

.. Improving radio station reception
e radio has an integrated antenna for radio reception.
Simply turn the radio until reception of the radio station
has improved.
. Turning the radio off
Press the on/o switch once to turn o the radio.
. Additional radio functions
.. Setting the time
To set the time:
1Press one of the Mode buttons three times.
ôNote:
If you do not start setting the time within ve seconds,
then the display format will return to normal time mode.
2Set the time by repeatedly pressing one of the Set
buttons or by pressing and holding one of the Set
buttons. e second display will remain at o’clock.
e minute hand rotates and automatically pulls the
hour hand with it.

ôNote:
Please note that PM is displayed on the le side for hours
from p.m. to : p.m. is is important if you want
to use the alarm function. In this case, the time formats
have to match.
3Release the Set button as soon as the desired time is
displayed on the screen. e time is set and will ap-
pear on the display screen.
.. Using the alarm function
e alarm function is used to play an alarm sound at a
preprogrammed time. is function could be used as
an alarm clock for example.
... Setting the alarm time

Press one of the Mode buttons twice. e selected alarm
time appears and AL blinks on the display screen.
ôNote:
If you do not start setting the alarm time within ve seconds,
then the display format will return to normal time mode.

2Set the desired alarm time by repeatedly pressing one
of the Set buttons or by pressing and holding one of
the Set buttons.
3Release the Set button as soon as the desired alarm
time is displayed on the screen. Aer seconds, the
display format will return to the normal time mode.
e alarm time is now set.
... Turning on the alarm function

Press

time and AL appear on the display screen.
ôNote:
If you do not press another button within seconds, then
the display format will return to the normal time mode.
2To activate the alarm function, press one of the Set
buttons once. e bell symbol and Zz appear on the
display screen. e alarm function is now activated.
e alarm sound will be played at the prepro-
grammed time.
3To turn o the alarm sound: Press one of the Mode
buttons and then one of the Set buttons. e bell
symbol and Zz will disappear from the display
screen.

.. Using the snooze function
You can use the snooze function to interrupt the alarm
sound for ve minutes.

When the alarm sound is played at the preprogrammed
time, press one of the Set buttons once. e alarm sound
is interrupted and Zz appears on the display screen. e
bell symbol remains on the display screen.
2e alarm sound will be played again in minutes.
3To turn o the alarm sound: Press one of the Mode
buttons and then one of the Set buttons. Te bell sym-
bol and Zz will disappear from the display screen.
.. Switching to a different display mode
Press one of the Mode buttons once: e selected alarm
time will be displayed. If the alarm function is set: Te bell
symbol and Zz will appear on the display screen.
ôNote:
If you do not press the Set button again within two sec-
onds, then the normal time will be displayed again.

. Cleaning the radio
Clean the radio casing only using a slightly damp cloth. To
remove persistent dirt, add a few drops of mild dishwashing
liquid to the damp cloth. When cleaning the device, make
sure that no moisture seeps into the radio!
. Troubleshooting
..The radio is not functioning at all
AMake sure the batteries have been inserted in the
battery compartment according to the picture.
Be batteries may be old. If this is the case, replace
the batteries.
.. No reception or poor reception quality
Press the scan button to scan for a radio station with
better reception.
.. No sound
Press the Volume+ button to increase the volume.

. Disposing of the radio
Do not dispose of the radio in the household
waste!
Please contact those responsible for waste management
in your city or community and ask how to properly
dispose of electronic devices.
ôNote:
You should remove all batteries before disposing of the
radio. Do not dispose of the batteries in the household
waste! Return the used batteries to an appropriate re-
cycling collection center. Used batteries can usually be
returned to the store in which they were bought.
