Introduction
The SDM530C is a three phase multi-function remote control energy meter. It measures all
important electrical parameters, such as Active Energy (kWh), Current (A), Voltage (V),
Frequency(Hz), Power Factor, Power Demand, import and export energy etc. With built-in relay
inside, the meter can be remotely controlled to turn on or off the electricity supply via RS485.
The user can also set alarm objects and alarm level, once the alarm is activated the relay will be
turned off.

Measurements
The buttons operate as follows:

>Changing option at Set-up mode
>Exit the Set-up mode

After initialization and self-checking program, the meter display the measured values. The default
page is total kWh. If the user wants to check other information, please press the scroll button
on the front panel.

When the relay is failed to turn off, the display
will show Err-1, which will scroll every 3s with
the display of the measured value.
Set-up Mode
To get into Set-up Mode, the user need press the “Enter” button for 3 second.

Example shows the Pulse Duration is 100ms.
Please note: When the Pulse Constant is
1000imp/kWh, the pulse duration is fixed with
35ms.

This option allows user to configure the pulse
output. The output ca be set to provide a pulse
for a defined amount of active or reactive
energy. Use this section to set up the relay pulse
output-Units: kWh, kVArh.
Default: P kWh ( active energy)
Example shows Pulse Output type: kWh ( active )

This sets the period in minutes over which the
current and power reading are integrated for
maximum demand measuremen
t. The options
are 0~60.
Example shows the DIT is 60 minutes.
This sets the Display scroll time.
Options:0~30s
Example shows the display will scroll every 30s.
Please note: 0 means the display scroll is closed.
No display scroll
This meter provides a function to set the blue
backlight lasting time (off on, 5, 10, 20, 30, 60,
120mins )
Example shows the backlight will be off in
60mins.
Please note: Off means backlight always off; On
means the backlight always on here.

This meter provides a function to set Password.
Example shows the password is 1000.

Keep pressing for 3 second, to set relay
status. Off means relay open, ON means relay
close.
(note:
This option only can be set when the
alarm occurs and the relay opens. If you want to
solve this alarm, use this
option to set relay
status “on”. Therefore, please make sure the
alarm object is troubleshooted before you do
this.
Keep pressing button to exit the set-up mold.
* The alarm object and alarm value can only be programmed via RS485 command. For details,
please refer to the SDM530C modbus protocol.
