Polygiene
All the secons of the mesh on the Wykeham Solo are coated in Polygiene
to ensure there are no health and hygiene risks. Polygiene lasts the lifeme
of the fabric by being permanent odour control, inhibing the growth of
odour-causing bacteria.
The patented technology helps to protect the mesh against microbes by
building one of nature’s own anmicrobial agents into various types of
materials & products. Harmful microbes deposited onto these surfaces
become incapable of replicang themselves through a process known as:
“The Polygiene Eect”
Polygiene technology is based on the natural ability of silver salt to inhibit
the growth of a wide range of harmful microbes. In products made with
Polygiene, silver ions connuously migrate to the surface where the silver
ions eecvely suppress microbial growth. This acvity provides protecon
24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the normal lifespan of the
product.

The Wykeham Solo is designed to aid bathing and showering. In conjuncon
with any of the Daily Care cradles the base allows easy room to room
transportaon.
Before operaon ensure:
All 4 castor wheels are rmly aached to the base with no damage
The mesh is clean, undamaged and correctly aached to the frame via
Velcro and zips.
Operaon
When hoisng a person onto or o the Wykeham unit ensure all 4 brakes
are applied to the castor wheels before hand. If the Wykeham unit is
staonary Daily Care advise to apply the brakes to the castor wheels.
The Wykeham unit is made from Stainless Steel and is powder coated, this
allows the product to be placed directly into a shower, wet room and the
cradle into a bath. With the design of the Wykeham cradle being relavely
at, the cradle can be placed directly into a bath without the need for any
accessories as the two support bars act at the stand.
When placing the cradle into a bath rstly check the castor wheel brakes
are applied. The Red Triangles can then be rotated so the cradle can be
removed from the base. Li up the cradle and carefully place it into a bath.
Once the cradle is correctly and securely placed in the bath, with the use of
a hoist and sling the user can be carefully lowered onto the cradle.
Note: do not aempt to hoist or aach a hoist or hoist straps directly to the
Wykeham unit / cradle.
Mesh
The Wykeham Cradle can be detached from the Base via the two rotang
Red Triangles, these rotate allowing the cradle to be lied o the Base.
It is advised that the cradle mesh is not changed when there is someone on
the cradle. The simplest way of changing the mesh is to detach the cradle
from the Base, spin it upside down and place it against a sturdy surface.
This gives access to underneath the cradle where the mesh Velcro and zips
can be accessed. These Velcro and zips can be undone for washing of the
mesh, when washing please follow the instrucons on the mesh.
