Series systems
DESCRIPTION
A dedicated subwoofer system with 2x 15-in transducers in a
compact vented rectangular enclosure. The FR250z’s enclo-
sure also doubles as a stable pole mount base for use with
any of the FRz Series full range systems.
Tuned enclosure venting extends LF response and minimizes
driver strain. An appropriately configured external processor
can extend LF response and safeguard against cone excur-
sion damage while integrating the subwoofer with FRz Se-
ries full range systems.
APPLICATIONS
The FR250z provides high output sub bass response in a com-
pact, portable enclosure. Intended primarily for portable
applications, the system includes recessed handles, rubber
footpads and optional rear mounted casters.
For increased stability, the systems pole mount base reaches
to the bottom of the enclosure to leverage the system’s en-
tire weight. Furthermore, since it uses the enclosure’s widest
dimensions, the FR250z provides a remarkably solid pole
mount base. Six year warranty.

ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS
The sub bass loudspeaker systems shall incorporate 2x 15-in
LF transducers mounted in separate vented subenclosures
tuned for optimum low frequency response.
System frequency response shall vary no more than ±3 dB
from 40 Hz to 2100 Hz measured on axis with appropriate
signal processing. The loudspeaker shall produce a Sound
Pressure Level (SPL) of 101 dB SPL on axis at 1 meter with a
power input of 1 Watt, and shall be capable of producing a
peak output of 137 SPL on axis at 1 meter. The loudspeaker
shall handle 1000 Watts of amplifier power (AES Standard)
and shall have a nominal impedance of 4 Ohms.
The loudspeaker enclosure shall be trapezoidal in shape. It
shall be constructed of 15mm thickness void-free cross-grain-
laminated Baltic birch plywood and shall employ extensive
internal bracing. The enclosure shall include a pole mount
socket extending through to the bottom of the enclosure to
accept a 1 3/8-in mounting pole. It shall be finished in
black polyurethane. Recessed handles, optional rear mount-
ing casters and rubber footpads shall be provided. Input
connectors shall be 2x Neutrik NL4 Speakon. The front of the
loudspeaker shall be covered with a powder coated perfo-
rated steel grill.
The sub bass loudspeaker shall be the EAW model FR250z.
