HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR KETTLE
Remove the top lid (1), the tea strainer (5) and the bottom lid (2) from the kettle. Wipe the outer surface of the
kettle with a soft damp cloth or sponge. Remove stubborn areas with a cloth dampened with a mild liquid
detergent. Do not use abrasive wire or other harsh means. Do not immerse the kettle in water or other liquids.
From time to time, depending on the composition - and hardness - of your water, limescale deposits will
naturally form and usually stick to the heating element, reducing the heating eciency. The amount of
limescale build-up and the subsequent need for cleaning or descaling depends largely on the hardness of the
water in your region and the frequency of use of the kettle. The limescale thus formed is not harmful to health.
But if it gets into your drink, it can give your drink a powdery taste. The kettle should therefore be descaled
regularly as outlined below. Clean the top lid (1), the tea strainer (5) and the bottom lid (2) with detergent and
a cloth.
Wipe the base (4) on the outside using wet cloth. Make sure the base is unplugged at the time of cleaning.
DESCALING
Remove the limescale regularly. With normal use at least 2 times a year.

2. Leave the solution overnight.
3. Dispose of the solution the following morning.
4. Fill the kettle with clean water up to the MAX mark and let it boil again.
5. Pour o this boiled water, which will also remove the previous vinegar residue.
6. Rinse the inside of the kettle with clean water.
