In this part, the detector mounting is explaned. Please do not start the
mounting operation before understanding the system, parts and the working
principle of the system. You are recommended to start mounting after reading
the warning and the points to take into consideration.
WARNING
Anti-static measures should be taken before touching electronic materials.
Mounting and maintenance should be done by authorized personnel. The
failures to cause damage after interventions to be made the device before
reading the user manual completely, can exclude the device outside the scope
of warranty.
Wall Mounting
First of all, open the cover of the detector.
Make the cabling of the places where 20mm cable sleeves to come.
Find the 4 pieces mounting places shown with number 1.
Choose a clean and smooth wall at eye level.
Select a clean and smooth wall for eye level. Pay attention to mount a place
without air current, fan and vibration. It is not recommended to be mounted
closer to devices with radio frequency. Pay attention to be mounted to a
suitable place for calibration and maintenance. Mount from the required
places by using M4x30 mm screw and Ø 6mm socked for the panel mounting.

Cabling
Labels and cable functions should be stated in the cablings.
A proper cabling should be supplied for electrical terminals.
You can reeve the cables from the holes in the lower box for 4-20mA relay
cabling.
Cable Properties
The cable to be connected between detector and panel should have 1.5mm²
horizontal cutting at minimum and absolutely include ground cable. For each
loop, maximum cable length should be 1000m.
Recommended cable: LIYCS 3X1.5 insluated cable (cord) 9
It is recommended to mount CO detector up a height of 1.5m. It is very
important to mount to the distance recommended.
It is recommended to mount EGC, EGCN2, EGN, EGN2 to 1.5m, EGL to
15-25cm from ground and EGM to 0-10cm from ceiling.

6CALIBRATION
IMPORTANT
Calibration is required for EGC/EGCN2/EGN2 models.
Every 12-18 months, the devices should be calibrated by the authorized
service. Special apparatus is available for calibration. The calibration cell is in
conformity with all the models in the category of addressed gas detectors. It
is placed into the sensor cover under the detector. The gas measured by the
sensor is given by means of the calibration cell, and the gas detector
calibration is supplied to be made in the eld.

A calibration should be made after the detectors exposed to clean air for
24hours. When the test gas is directly given, high gas sensitivity can occur.
For this reason, the gases are required to be calibrated by the diffusion
method. By obtaining lower ow rate in <1Lt/minute with EKH Gas
calibration chamber, the equal gas distribution is supplied to every part of
the sensor.
WARNING
The warm-up time should be taken into account.
It should be made in gas-free environment with zero calibration measured.

TROUBLESHOOTING
7
The errors in the detector are send to the control panel as error.
In case of an error, yellow LED on the detector ashes continuosly.
If there is communication error, the cable connections should be checked.
Breaks in the cables may cause an error.
In case of the existence of a different error, contact to the service.
