The FlexScan S1961 is an ultra-slim 19" monitor, featuring side bezels that are
only 6.9 mm wide. This makes it ideal for
desktop use in any business environment,
especially in space-critical places like trading
rooms. Versatile positioning and an energy-
saving BrightRegulator add to its appeal. The
S1961’s high contrast and resolution, three
viewing modes and 178° viewing angles
ensure vivid clarity with all types of text
and images.

Ultra-Thin Bezels
EIZO has succeeded in decreasing the width of the
side bezels to only 6.9 mm — about half the size of
our other 19" SlimEdge monitors. This slim design
saves space on the desktop, and works especially well
in multi-monitor setups, letting the screens fit closely
together.
Flexible Positioning and Mounting
The S1961 comes with a stand that has a height ad-
justment range of 100 mm, as well as tilt and swivel
angles of 30° and 70° for optimum positioning. The
screen pivots 90° into portrait orientation for view-
ing text documents or web pages. The power supply
unit is in the panel rather than the stand, so you can
detach the stand and mount the monitor on an arm
or wall in accordance with VESA standards.
BrightRegulator
This function keeps the monitor at the ideal bright-
ness level under all lighting conditions. A sensor on
the front bezel measures the ambient light and signals
the backlight to adjust the screen brightness accord-
ingly. In addition to providing greater clarity, this
also saves energy by dimming the screen when room
brightness levels are low. If you prefer a constant
brightness level regardless of ambient lighting, you
can easily disable the BrightRegulator.
Brightness Stabilization
At startup or upon wakeup, an EIZO-patented drift
correction function quickly stabilizes the brightness
level. In addition, a sensor measures the backlight
brightness and compensates for brightness fluctua-
tions caused by the ambient temperature and the
passage of time.
1500:1 Contrast Ratio
This outstanding contrast performance makes im-
ages on dark backgrounds appear more vivid, brings
out the subtle differences in similar shades of color,
and ensures that colors retain their richness even in
brightly lit rooms.

19" Color LCD Monitor

The S1961 is also available with optional
dual speakers built in, convenient for
listening to voice audio. The speakers are
located on the back, so they are unobtrusive and do
not take up extra space on the desktop. The monitor’s
appearance is the same with or without them, so you
can have one model with speakers in a multi-monitor
configuration and still maintain design consistency.
Digital and Analog Input Terminals
DVI-D and D-Sub input terminals allow the monitor
to accept both digital and analog inputs. If both types
are connected, you can switch between them via a
front panel button.
Three Fine Contrast Modes
You can select three Fine Contrast modes for optimum
viewing with various applications. The Text mode is
for viewing documents, the sRGB mode is for web
browsing and the Custom mode is for setting your
own viewing preferences.
Customer Assurance
A five-year warranty offers a long service life, and
compliance with leading industry standards such as
TCO’03 and TÜV Ergonomics ensures a better work-
ing environment. The EIZO Eco Products 2006 label
indicates these products meet strict internal require-
