LSWP INSTRUCTION SHEET
Introduction
Designed for use with the System12's eight Local
Source Inputs, the LSWP sends audio from any local
source (i.e. a CD player in the Master Bedroom) back
down to the S12, and IR control signals from the S12
back to the local source.
Audio and IR are transmitted over a single run of Cat-
5 cable to the Local Source RJ-45 jacks on the S12.
Balanced differential line drivers ensure noise-free
audio from sources located up to 300 feet from the
S12. An IR OUT jack on the wall plate allows you to
plug in an IR emitter (included) for control of the
source from that zone's keypad or touch panel. A
video connector is available to convieniently route
video from the local source to a local monitor.
Up to eight Local Source Wall Plates, one for each
zone, can be connected to an S12. Systems with
more than one S12 (and you can link up to four of
them!) can accommodate eight LSWPs per S12.

Local Source Connections w/ PS12 Precision Panel
Connect a local audio source to the LSWP Local Source Wall Plate using the
stereo interconnect cable provided. Only one local source per zone can be con-
nected. Connect Cat-5 from the LSWP to the appropriate Local Source (LS) con-
nector on the PS12 as shown below. Complete the installation by connecting the
provided IR emitter from the LSWP to the IR window of the source.

Local Source Connections w/Out PS12
Connect a local audio source to the LSWP Local Source Wall Plate using the
stereo interconnect cable provided. Only one local source per zone can be con-
nected. Connect Cat-5 from the LSWP to the S12’s Local Source Input as shown
below. Complete the installation by connecting the provided IR emitter from the
LSWP to the IR window of the source.
ELAN HOME SYSTEMS, L.L.C. ("ELAN") warrants the LSWP Local Source Wall Plate Kit to be free from
defects in materials and workmanship for the period of Two Years (2 Years) from the date of purchase.
If within the applicable warranty period above purchaser discovers such item was not as warranted above
and promptly notifies ELAN writing, ELAN shall repair or replace the items at the company's option. This
warranty shall not apply (a) to equipment not manufactured by ELAN, (b) to equipment which shall have
been installed by other than an authorized ELAN installer, (c) to installed equipment which is not installed
to ELAN's specifications, (d) to equipment which shall have been repaired or altered by others than ELAN,
(e) to equipment which shall have been subjected to negligence, accident, or damage by circumstances
beyond ELAN's control, including, but not limited to, lightning, flood, electrical surge, tornado, earthquake,
or any other catastrophic events beyond ELAN's control, or to improper operation, maintenance or storage,
or to other than normal use of service. With respect to equipment sold by, but not manufactured by ELAN,
the warranty obligations of ELAN shall in all respects conform and be limited to the warranty actually exten-
ded to ELAN by its supplier. The foregoing warranties do not cover reimbursement for labor, transportation,
removal, installation, or other expenses which may be incurred in connection with repair or replacement.
Except as may be expressly provided and authorized in writing by ELAN, ELAN shall not be subject to any
other obligations or liabilities whatsoever with respect to equipment manufactured by ELAN or services
rendered by ELAN.
THE FOREGOING WARRANTIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESSED AND IMPLIED
WARRANTIES EXCEPT WARRANTIES OF TITLE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES
OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
