1. Start of Control System
When starting the control system for the furnace the emergency stop circuit has to be reset
manually. The alarm list will start flashing and when pressing the alarm button following message will
appear “Confirm that the equipment is ready to start by reset the alarm list”. To reset the alarm list
press the button “Clear alarm list and reset alarms”.

2. Program
2.1 Create a heating rogram
From the start window you can create a heating program for the furnace directly. The heating
program consists of different segments. To add the first segment click on the Segment bo 1 where it
says; “Click here to add a segment”.

Different segments can be chosen:
Wait to start: Type in when program should start. Enter 60 minutes if program should start in an
hour and enter 0 minutes if program should start directly etc.
Unrestricted: The heating will be made with full power up to typed temperature thereafter heating
rate typed in “ Ramp Up” will be used.
Ram U : Desired heating rate and dwell temperature is typed in. The temperature rate will be held
until the dwell temperature is achieved.
Dwell: The desired dwell time is typed in.
Manual Dwell: When the dwell temperature is achieved following te t message appears for the
channel “Manual Dwell Press here to continue”. When pressing this message the cycle jumps out of
dwell segment and continues to the ne t segment.
Ram Down: When cooling with certain rate is required, desired value is typed in here.
Program Down: When temperature in “Program done” has been achieved the program will end and
stop logging temperature.

Select a segment type, enter the desired values and press the right button “Add segment”.

To add the second segment click on the Segment bo 2 and choose a segment type for this segment.

All programs must end with section “Program Done”, this ends the logging of temperature for the
program.

To delete or change a segment, press on desired segment and press either of the two right buttons
“Delete Segment” or “Change Segment”.

Segment bo es 1-3 are shown in one window and segment bo es 4-6 are shown on another window
and so on. To change window press button Segment X-X below segment bo es.

When all segment types have been added you have two opportunities. Either you can press “Save
Program File” to save the program or you can press “Start” to start the program.
2.2 Save Program File
When you have pressed “Save Program File” you will type in a name for the file and press either
“Save file to USB” or “Save file to System”.

2.3 Manage Program File
To start an e isting program in the system or from an USB memory, press the button “Manage
Program Files”. Here you can select; List programs from system, List programs from USB, Copy
selected program, Delete selected program or open selected program. Select a program and press
“Open selected program”.

When you have pressed “Start” to start a program a new window will appear on the screen which
will show that program is running.
Program Running
On the top you will see following parameters:
SP, Set Point: Shows continuously the desired value.
PV, Process Value: Shows continuously the actual value.
If PV shows NO TC it means either that there is no thermocouple wire connected or that the
thermocouple is turned the wrong way (+-).
Heating Out ut: Shows power for heating in percentage used for the furnace.
Cooling out ut: Shows power for cooling in percentage used for the furnace.

The program will also be presented as a graph. Each segment has a color which also can be seen in
the in the graph for that segment.
During the running of the program it’s possible to change or delete a segment. To do that click on the
segment bo you would like to change or delete (Like in Picture 6). Enter the new values or delete
segment. When you return to the screen with the program graph press “Update” in the upper left
corner.

3. Trend
In the Trend tab it is possible to see the graphs of the heat treatments. Every channels temperature
curves is presented in the graph.

4. Alarm
During heat treatments, Alarms can appear, and the Alarm tab will start to flash. By clicking on the
tab, a list of alarms will be shown. To clear and reset the alarms press ”Clear alarm list and reset
alarms”.

5. Log file
To save a log file for a heat treatment plug in a USB-memory and press the USB symbol in the lower
right corner. The symbol will start flash in red and green. N.B! Don’t take the USB memory out until it
has stopped flashing. (The transfer of file can be done from any window).

6. Keyboard
If the keyboard/other fill-in-windows are not visible or needs to be hidden press the keyboard in the
lower right corner.

7. Setu
Furnblog setup is entered by turning the maneuver breaker from 0 to 1 to make a restart of the
display. Therafter ”Enter Setup” in the right upper corner is pressed.
