INTRODUCTION
The CS-600 Capacitance Substitution Box is a convenient
instrument for determining the desired capacitance values in
circuits under design or test. The capacitance obtainable is up to
11,111mF in 100pF steps. All capacitors are precision 2%
capacitance, 200VDC min.
OPERATION
All of the capacitors are wired in parallel. A switch on the front
panel adds each capacitor Putting the switch in the IN (up)
position, the capacitor is placed across the output terminals. The
two green binding posts serve as the output terminals. The black
binding post is tied to the front panel. To place any capacitance
across the output terminals, turn IN those switches that add up to
the desired capacitance. For example, for 1.5072mF, turn IN the
1mF, .3mF, .2mF, 4000pF, 3000pF and 200pF switches.
Note: Because of lead capacitance from the output termimals to
the PC board, all values will read approximately 50pF above the
actual capacitance value.
TWO YEAR WARRANTY
All Elenco models are guaranteed for two full years on all
parts and service. For the first 3 months, your
capacitance substitution box is covered at absolutely no
charge. For the remaining 21 months, a nominal service
charge is required to cover shipping and handling.
When returning merchandise for repair, please include
proof of purchase, a brief letter of explanation of problem,
and sufficient packing material. Before returning any
