- The DA224 unit
The DA224 is a distributor/am lifier for stereo audio signals that is ca able of
distributing a signal towards 4 destinations.
It can be used as an am lifier for low level incoming signals. In the case of
mono signals only, the DA224 is ca able of am lifying two se arate signals
with se arate gain settings.

2.0 POWER SUPPLY
The DA224 unit must only be powered by means of the AC/AC adapter, code
ADM001, supplied
ATTENTION
The use of any other adapter may dama e the equipment.
There are no ratin s or presettin s inside the unit.
All operations must be performed by specialized personnel.
Insert the adapter in a 220-230 Vac/50Hz alternate voltage socket

3.0 PRESETTINGS
6 dip-switches that can be accessed from the base of the unit enable the gain
for the two channels to be selected separately
1 R +24dB : In ON pos channel R gain is +24dB
2 R +10dB : In ON pos channel R gain is +10dB
3 R 0 dB : In ON pos channel R gain is 0dB
4 L +24dB : In ON pos channel L gain is +24dB
5 L +10dB : In ON pos channel L gain is +10dB
6 L 0dB : In ON pos channel L gain is 0dB
ATTENTION
Only one switch per channel may be set to ON
Factory settings of the unit are as follows:
1 R +24dB : In OFF pos
2 R +10dB : In OFF pos
3 R 0 dB : In ON pos

4.0 INSTALLATION
Proceed as follows for standard installation with a stereo signal to be
distributed towards 4 destinations:
a) Check that all the units to be installed are turned off.
b) Connect the stereo source to the INL and INR terminals
c) Connect the destinations
d) Set the di -switches on the base according to system requirements
e) Energize the DA224 and the other system units.
f) If necessary, adjust the out ut level of both channels by means of the
trimmers on the front rearl of the unit.

The ground terminal
GND) is common to

high impedance level.
The inputs of several
DA224 units can be

opposite with "a".

If the destination is unbalanced,
connect terminal "a" and GND.
Leave terminal "b" clear or use it
for a different destination.

The guarantee does not over damage to the produ t aused
by improper use or operations effe ted by third parties
For the duration of guarantee Elpro shall repair faulty units free of charge.
Faulty units must be sent with a standard waybill and CARRIAGE PAID to Elpro’s
Turin works.Repaired units shall be returned CARRIAGE FORWARD to the
consignee.
Faulty units that are no longer covered by guarantee shall be repaired by Elpro EX
WORKS Turin and the work shall be charged to the customer.
