MP3-Radio
(Art. no. 85950)
Installation and Instruction Manual
Product contents
The package includes the following elements:
1. MP3-Radio
2. Wired remote control
3. M12 bolt for moulding the thread
4. AC adaptor
5. 2 speaker cables
6. USB console
Installation recommendations
Option 1:
Place the MP3-Radio completely invisible at the cabin roof.
Either fit the USB console (included in delivery) elegantly
into the outer cabin wall or fix it e.g. at the edge of the cabin
roof by using the bracket (included in delivery). All
technology and wiring are ideally hidden in this case.
Option 2:
Place the MP3-Radio visibly at the outside of the cabin, so
you can operate it from the relaxation room. In this case you
can access the MP3-Radio’s USB socket directly.
In both cases you enjoy ideal operating comfort when fixing
the compact, waterproof wired remote control inside the
cabin (max. 90 °C!).
Feed your favourite music from your MP3-Player into the
MP3-Radio by using a common 3.5 mm stereo jack cable.
Your MP3-Radio then works as an amplifier. Please keep in
mind that only few MP3-Players are designated for the
humidity and heat inside the cabin.
Remote control installation
Accessible only from the front:
1. Drill a hole of 2-7 mm depth with a 40 mm Forstner
bit at the desired place (bench, backrest, cabin wall
– no hotter than 90 °C!). There will be no visible
gap on the side after straightening the remote
control.
2. Drill a hole (completely through) with a 10 mm drill
bit in the middle of the hole.
3. Screw in the M12 bolt (included in delivery) using a
19 mm socket wrench in order to create a tight
thread for the remote control in the wood. Then
unscrew the M12 bolt again.
4. Lead the remote control cable through the hole and
screw the remote control in the wooden thread. If it
is too smooth-running, fix the thread with a heat-
proof adhesive so the remote control can not turn.
Accessible from the front and the back:
1. If working with a Forstner bit from both sides, first
drill a hole with a 1 mm drill bit through the wood at
the desired place.
2. Then, drill a hole of 2-7 mm depth with a 40 mm
Forstner bit at the front.
3. If necessary, drill a hole at the back with a 30 mm
Forstner bit to countersink the M12 nut.
4. Drill a hole (completely through) with a 12 mm drill
bit in the middle of the hole.
5. Lead the cable and the remote control through the
drilling and fix with the M12 nut (included in
delivery).
USB console installation
Installation in the outer cabin wall:
1. Drill a hole with a 19 mm Forstner bit at the
desired place in the outer cabin wall.
2. Lead the USB cable through the hole and push
the USB console into the 19 mm hole.
Installation using the bracket:
1. Screw the bracket tightly to the desired place.
2. Lead the USB cable through the hole in the bracket
and push the USB console into the hole.
Attention:
The USB console is not heat-proof and therefore, can
only be used at the outer cabin wall in saunas. In
infrared cabins it can also be used at the inside.
