SURE-ALARMBATTERYBACK UPSYSTEM
Thisclockradioincludesabatterybackupsystemthatwillmaintainthecorrecttime
andalarmsettingsincaseofatemporarypowerinterruption.Aslongasthebattery
hassufficientpower,itwillalsooperatethe RadioorBuzzeralarmtowakeyouup
evenifthepoweris‘Off’atyournormalwakeuptime.Thebatterybackupsystem
requiresone 9voltbattery,(notincluded).Werecommend you usean alkaline
batteryforlongestlife.
•Openthebatterycompartmentdoor,locatedonthebackoftheradiocabinet.
•Gentlypullthebatteryterminaloutsidethebatterycompartment.
•Connectthe9voltbatterytothe batteryterminal.Itcan onlybe
connectedoneway.
•Pushthebatteryandthe terminalbackintothe battery
compartment.
•Replacethebatterycompartmentdoor.
If the powerisinterrupted the clock displaygoes‘Off ’.Howeverthe clock will
continuetorun,poweredbythe9voltbattery.Whenpowerisrestoredtheclockwill
come‘On’againtothecorrecttime.Thealarmsettingwillalsobemaintained.
NOTE:If no batteryisinstalled,orifthe batteryisexhausted and poweris
interrupted,thetimeandalarmsettingswillbelost.Whenpowerisrestoredtheclock
displaywill beginflashing “12:00 AM”.Thisisyourindication thatthe timeis
incorrectandneedstobereset.Don’tforgettoresetboththetimeandthewakeup
time.
Afreshalkalinebatteryshouldbeabletoprovide backuppowerforuptoayearin
normalcircumstances.Howeverifyou liveinan area thathasfrequentpower
interruptionsthebatterylifewillbereduced.Forbestresultsyoushouldinstallanew
batteryevery8to12months.Ifyouinstalledabatterybutyounoticethatthedisplay
isflashing,yourbatteryisexhausted andshouldbereplaced.

FM-TheFMantennaisbuiltintotheACpowercord.BesuretheACpowercord
isfullyunwoundand extendedtoitsfulllengthforbestFMreception.
AM-TheAMferritebarantennaisinsidetheradiocabinet.IfAMreceptionisnoisy
orweak,tryturningtheradioslightlyuntilthebarantennaispointingtowards
thetransmitter.Experimentuntilyoufind theposition whichprovidesthe
clearestreception.
SETTINGTHETIME
•Press and holdtheCLOCKandHOUR buttonstoadvancethe displaytothe
correcthour.
•PressandholdtheCLOCKandMINUTEbuttonstoadvancethedisplaytothe
correctminute.
NOTE:If theAMIndicatorinthe upperleftcornerofthedisplayis‘On’,thetime
displayed is“AM”.If the AMIndicatordoesnotappearinthedisplay,the
timedisplayed is“PM”.BesuretosetthetimecorrectlyforAMorPM.
LISTENINGTOTHERADIO
•Press the RADIO ONbutton.
•Slide theBAND selectortothe desiredposition -AMorFM.
•Selectthe desiredstation withthe TUNINGcontrol.
•Adjustthe VOLUMEcontroltothe desired level.
•PresstheSNOOZE/SLEEP OFF/RADIO OFFbutton toshuttheradio‘Off’.
SETTINGTHEWAKE-UPTIME
•PressandholdtheALARMandHOURbuttonstosetthedesiredwake-uphour.
•Pressand holdthe ALARMand MINUTEbuttonstosetthe desired wake-up
minute.
NOTE: IftheAMIndicatorintheupperleftcornerofthedisplayis‘On’,thewake-
uptimedisplayedis“AM”.IftheAMIndicatordoesnotappearinthedisplay,
thewake-uptimedisplayedis“PM”.Besuretosetthewake-uptime
correctlyforAMorPM.
WAKETORADIO
Setthewake-uptimeasindicatedabove.Alsotunetheradiotothebandandstation
thatyouwanttohearatthewakeuptime,adjustthevolumeifnecessary,andshut
theradio‘Off’.
•Slidethe ALARMselectortothe RAD(Radio)position.
•Atthe selectedwake-up timethe radiowill begintoplay.Itwill continue for
1hourand59 minutesand thenshutoffautomaticallyand resetitselfforthe
followingday.
•Tostopthe radiosooner,pressthe ALARMRESETbutton.Theradiostops
immediatelyandresetsitselfforthefollowingday.
•Tocancelthewaketoradiofunction slidetheALARMselectortothe‘Off’
position.
WAKETOBUZZERALARM
Setthe wakeup timeasindicatedabove.
•Slidethe ALARMselectortothe BUZ(Buzzer) position.
•Attheselected wakeuptimethebuzzertone willcomeon.It will continuefor1
hourand 59 minutesandthen shutoff automaticallyand resetitselfforthe
followingday.
•Tostopthebuzzersooner,presstheALARMRESETbutton.Thebuzzerstops
immediatelyandresetsitselfforthefollowingday.
•Tocancelthe waketobuzzerfunction slidetheALARMselectortothe‘Off’
position.
SNOOZE/REPEATALARM
Ifyouneedafewextraminutessleepafterthealarmcomeson,presstheSNOOZE
buttononce.Theradioorbuzzeralarmstopsfor9minutesandthenturnsonagain.
Thisprocedurecanberepeatedmanytimesifnecessary.EachtimetheSNOOZE
button ispressed thealarm shutsoff for9minutesand then comeson again.
NOTE:TheSnooze/RepeatAlarmoperationwillfunctionforupto1hourand59
minutesafterthealarm comeson.After1hourand 59minutesthealarm
nolongerrepeats.

SLEEP TOMUSIC/AUTOSHUT OFF TIMER
Thisradiohasasleep timerthatallowsyou tofallasleep tomusicand thenshuts
the radiooff automatically.The maximumsleep tomusictimeis1hourand 59
minutes.
•Tunetheradiotothe desiredband andstationandadjustthe volumecontrol
tothedesiredlevel.
NOTE: Ifyou alsoplan towaketomusic,rememberthattheband,station,and
volumesetting thatyou selectforthe sleep tomusicfunction will be the same
settingsthatyouhearwhenthealarmwakesyouthefollowingmorning.
•PresstheSLEEPbuttononce.Thedisplaywillshow“:59”andtheradiowillplay
for59 minutesbeforeshuttingoff automatically.
•Todecreasetheamountoftimebeforeautoshutoff,holdtheSLEEPbuttonand
the MINUTEbutton.The displaywill begincounting downfrom59minutes.
Releasethebuttonswhenthe displaycountsdowntothedesiredsetting.
•Toadd one hourtothe sleep timer,press the SLEEP andHOUR buttons.
•Whenthesleeptimercountsdownto“:00”theradioshutsoffautomatically.To
shutoff theradiobeforethetimercountsdownto“:00”,pressthe
SNOOZE/SLEEP OFF /RADIO OFF button atanytime.
