This Emporia product is warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for one (1) year from
the date of purchase. In addition, the Emporia batteries used in the product are warranted to be free from
defects in materials or workmanship for ninety (90) days from the date of purchase of the product. Within this
period, Emporia will, at its sole option, repair or replace any components that fail in normal use. Such repairs
or replacement will be made at no charge to the customer for parts or labor, provided that the customer shall
be responsible for any transportation cost. This warranty does not apply to: (i) cosmetic damage, such as
scratches, nicks, and dents; (ii) consumable parts, such as batteries (other than as expressly set forth herein),
unless product damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (iii) damage caused by
accident, abuse, misuse, water, ood, re, or other acts of nature or external causes; (iv) damage caused by
service performed by anyone who is not an authorized service provider of Emporia; or (v) damage to a product
that has been modied or altered without the written permission of Emporia. Further, the battery warranty
covers batteries only if battery capacity falls below 80% of rated capacity or the battery leaks, and this warranty
does not cover any battery if (i) the battery has been charged by a battery charger not specied or approved by
Emporia for charging the battery; (ii) any of the seals on the battery are broken or show evidence of tampering;
or (iii) the battery has been used in equipment other than the Emporia product for which it is specied. In
addition, Emporia reserves the right to refuse warranty claims against products or services that are obtained
and/or used in contravention of the laws of any country.
This product is intended to be used only for mobile operation and must not be used for any other purpose.
THE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES CONTAINED HEREIN ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHERWARRANTIES
EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY LIABILITY ARISING UNDER ANY WARRANTY OF

Emporia retains the exclusive right to repair or replace (with a new or newly-overhauled replacement product)
the device or software or oer a full refund of the purchase price at its sole discretion. SUCH REMEDY SHALL BE
YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY.
To obtain warranty service, contact your local Emporia authorized dealer or call Emporia Product Support for
shipping instructions and a racking number. Securely pack the device and a copy of the original sales receipt,
which is required as the proof of purchase
for warranty repairs. Write the tracking number clearly on the outside
of the package. Send the device, freight charges prepaid, to Emporia.

14 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
• Screen shows “Insert SIM card! Only emergency call

• A call failed: Check the selected telephone number and
area code again for accuracy (area code entered?).
• The mobile telephone display is blank/black: Telephone
is in energy saving mode (press any key) or it is switched
off (press for 2 seconds to switch on).
• The mobile phone does not react: Remove battery, re-
insert and switch on the device. If there is still no reaction,
refer to the service centre.
• The charging procedure does not begin: This can take
several minutes. If there is no reaction after 10 minutes,
refer phone to service centre.

specify that only phone book contacts can send entries to
you. The phone number will be saved automatically in your
phone book when you receive a SMS with the following content:

7 EMERGENCY FUNCTION
You can store a total of 5 emergency numbers (family,
neighbours, friends, emergency services). In case of emergency
these preselected numbers will be dialled automatically in a
sequence, if the emergency key on the back of the phone gets
pressed and held.
A continuous warning tone then starts in “loudspeaker mode”
during emergency, so you and people nearby are warned of the
emergency! If the rst number cannot be reached, the second
number will be called automatically.
If the second number in row cannot be reached, the third will be
called. (max. 3 rotations of the 5 numbers).
Note: To avoid getting caught on a mailbox, the reached person
has to conrm your emergency by calling back.
If no emergency number is saved or if your calling card has
expired or you have no access to a foreign network (e.g.
roaming not permitted), 911 will be dialled.
Saving emergency numbers: Enter Menu àPhone book

Emergency number (1-5) à set if it’s a private number or a help
organisation à pick contact from phone book à done
Note: select emergency number: private number (has to conrm
as explained above) or ofcial service number, e.g.: ambulance,
police, etc. (no conrmation call required).
Switch emergency function On / Off: Enter menu: Settings à
Emergency numbers àOn/Off.
Note: If you want to save numbers from ofcial services, police,
re department, etc. as emergency numbers, you have to
clarify this with these institutions. No liability will be assumed for
possible costs incurred if you dial accidentally.

5 FIRST STEPS
Switch on the phone: press power on/off-key for 2 sec.
Switch off by pressing power on/off for 2 seconds again.
When using a new SIM card, enter the 4 digit PIN Code (Personal
Identication Number) and conrm with .
PIN-Code: The PIN-Code is a 4-digit number combination
preventing others from switching on your mobile phone.
• Switch off your PIN-Code: In menu: Settings à Security
Settings àPIN àPIN off.
Standby mode:
In standby mode the phone is turned on, but no active applications
(calling, messaging, etc.) are running. To get into standby mode,
when you are e.g. in the settings menu, press repeatedly.
Entering Menu:
• Press - key.
• Scroll through menu points: with and .
• Conrm: with .
Note: due to inactivity phone lights and screen turn off after a
while. To turn on again, press any key.
Pick up call: Press - key.
End call or Reject call: Press - key.
Dial: Enter the telephone number via the keypad (including area
code with 0) - start call with .
Redial list: press - key, scroll through call list with (all
dialled, missed and received calls), select a number and start
call with .
Handsfree Speaking: To talk without holding the phone to your
ear, switch on/off the handsfree function during a call: press
Handsfree.
Note: if you stay at a menu point without confirming ( ),
a help text with explanations pops up. To leave this, press .

8 SMS MESSAGES
SMS (Short Message Service) are written messages.
Receive SMS: A short signal and a written information on
the display inform you about a new, incoming SMS message.

• Security settings: Activate, deactivate or change PIN and
phonecode (default phone code: 1234).
• Restore Factory: Reset the phone to factory settings.
FCC warning
SAR Value
The maximum value of Head SAR is 0.103 W/kg. The maximum value of Body Worn is 0.795 W/kg which was tested under the separation
distance of
distance of 15mm without any accessory.
When using any body worn accessory, please help to make sure it at least 1.5cm clearance between phone and human body. The body worn
accessory should not contain any metal.
