INSTRUCTION MANUAL
• ItisrecommendedthatthislightbeinstalledbyaqualiedelectricianinaccordancewithcurrentIEEWiring
Regulations and Building Regulations (Part P).
• This product is only suitable for connection to a 240v~50Hz supply and is for outdoor use.
• Runsupplywirefroma5-ampelectricalsupplyusingdoubleinsulated2or3-corecableoftypeH05RN-F
1.0mm2 (not supplied) to selected site, ensuring it is adequately protected through the full length of the
cablerun,itmustcomeoutoftheatsurfaceofthewallinlinewiththeentrytothetting
• ThisttingisaClassIproduct,andmust be connected to Earth.
• Switchoffthemainssupplyandremovetheappropriatefuseorswitchofftheappropriatecircuitbreaker
before commencing installation.
• Exceptwhereinstalledinaconduitorductwhichprovidesequivalentprotectionagainstmechanicaldamage,
a cable buried in the ground shall incorporate an earthed armour or metal sheath or both, suitable for use as
aprotectiveconductor,orbeofinsulatedconcentricconstruction.Buriedcablesshallbemarkedbycable
covers or a suitable marking tape. Buried conduits and ducts shall be suitably identied. Buried cables,
conduitsandductsshallbeatasufcientdepthtoavoidbeingdamagedbyanyreasonablyforeseeable
disturbance of the ground.
• Donotinstallabulbwithagreaterwattageordifferentshapethanspeciedonthelabel.
• Ifanymodicationismadeitwillinvalidatethewarrantyandmayrendertheproductunsafe.
• Iftheglassordiffuserisbrokenorcrackeditmustbereplaced,pleaseconsultyourretailer.Thisisthe

Before you start
Pleasereadtheseinstructionscarefullybeforettingandretainforreference.Checkthepackagingandmake
surethatyouhavealltherequiredparts.Followeachassemblystepinordertopreventincorrectassembly.
Ensure that the product is fully assembled as illustrated before use.
The Light pack contains:
Lighttting.
Terminalconnectionblock(s).
Fixingpack.
The following tools may be required:
Selectionofcrossandatheadscrewdrivers.
Electric drill and assorted drill bits.
Wirestrippers.
Electrical insulation tape.
Care Information
Allow10minutestocoolbeforereplacing,adjustingorcleaning.
Cleanwithadryclothonly.Donotuseliquidorabrasivecleanersonthisproduct.
These assembly diagrams are intended as a guide – if in doubt consult a qualied electrician.
1. Decideonthepositionofthelighttting,orremoveexistinglighttting.Takeanoteofthepositionofthe
electrical connections. Ensure there is a solid mounting surface.
2. Run cable (not supplied) from mains electrical supply to selected site, ensuring it is adequately protected
through the full length of the cable run.
3. Ifinstallingonexistingconcretebase,useholesinbaseasatemplatetodrillsuitablexingholes.Prepare
withsuitablegroundxingbolts(notsupplied).
4. Threadthecablethroughtheunit,screwingthebaseintosection3,thenintosection4.

5. Connectthesupplywiringtotheterminalblock(5).WhenyouaresureoftheconnectionswraptheTerminal
Blockandoverlapthewiringbothsideswith2layersofinsulationtape.NOTE: This is a Class I tting and
must be earthed.Anylooseterminalblocks-notsecuredtoceilingcup-shouldalwaysbecoveredwith2
layersofgoodqualityinsulationtape.Re-ttothexingpostensuringnowiresaredamaged,trappedorleft
exposed.Checktheseal,usesealantifrequired
6. Secure base to using ground anchor bolts (1&2).
7. Fitthebulb(6),thentthelid(7)usingthescrews.NOTE: Never t bulbs of a higher wattage than those
specied on the label (as these may cause overheating and damage the tting).
8. Turnonthepowerandtest.
