INSTRUCTION MANUAL
• Thisproductisonlysuitableforconnectiontoa240V~50Hzsupply.Itisrecommendedthatthislightisinstalledby
aqualiedelectricianinaccordancewithcurrentIEEWiringRegulationsandlocalBuildingRegulations.
• Thelightttingshouldbeconnectedtoalightingcircuitprotectedbya5ampfuse(ora6ampminiaturecircuit
breaker).
• ThislighthasanIP44(splashproof)ratingsuitableforuseoutdoors.
• Runsupplywirefroma5-ampelectricalsupplyusingdoubleinsulated3-corecableoftypeH05RN-F1.0mm2(not
supplied)toselectedsite,ensuringitisadequatelyprotectedthroughthefulllengthofthecablerun,itmustcome
outoftheatsurfaceofthemountingsurfaceinlinewiththeentrytothetting.
• Exceptwhereinstalledinaconduitorduct,whichprovidesequivalentprotectionagainstmechanicaldamage,
acableburiedinthegroundshallincorporateanearthedarmourormetalsheathorboth,suitableforuseasa
protectiveconductor,orbeofinsulatedconcentricconstruction.Buriedcablesshallbemarkedbycablecoversor
asuitablemarkingtape.Buriedconduitsandductsshallbesuitablyidentied.Buriedcables,conduitsandducts
shallbeatasufcientdepthtoavoidbeingdamagedbyanyreasonablyforeseeabledisturbanceoftheground.
• Thisproductmustonlybeinstalledtoasolid,xedsurface,suchasconcrete,deckingorpavingslabs.ItmustNOT
beinstalledonsoil.
• This product contains breakable parts – be careful during handling and maintenance to avoid breakage. If the
coversarebrokenorcrackedthentheymustbereplacedimmediatelytopreservethewateringressprotection,
pleaseconsultyourretailer.Thisisrepresentedbythesymbol
• Thisttingisheavyandlargeandyoushouldseekassistanceinconnectingitto thesupplyandsecuringitto
themountingsurface.Whenxingto the mounting surfaceensurethatthexingsusedareappropriateforthe
mountingsurfaceonwhichtheyarebeingused–seebelowregardingmounting.
• Ifanymodicationismadeitwillinvalidatethewarrantyandmayrendertheproductunsafe.
• Allow10minutestocoolbeforereplacing,adjustingorcleaning.Cleanwithadryclothonly.Donotuseliquidor
abrasivecleanersonthisproduct.

Assembly/ User Instructions
Before you start
Please read these instructions carefully before tting your new light and retain for reference.
Switch off the mains supply and remove the appropriate fuse or switch off the appropriate circuit breaker
before commencing installation.
Ensure that no one else has access that would enable the supply to be inadvertently reconnected.
Ensure that there are no cables/ pipes beneath the surface (other than the supply cable for this tting).
Ifinstallingonanexistingsecure(concrete)base,usetheholesinthelamppostbaseasatemplatetodrillsuitable
xingholesandpreparewithsuitablegroundxingbolts(notsupplied).
Ifinstallationistobemadeusingthegroundanchorplate,digaholeinsettledground(dimensionscanvarybutthe
nishedconcreteblockshouldbesubstantialenoughtosupportandanchorthelamppost)ensuringthatatleast
200mmofcablewillbeavailableabovethegroundlevelofthehole.Constructtheanchorplateanddeterminethe
depththeanchorplatehastobesunkinthegroundtoenablethepostbasetobeconnectedtoit.Thisisimportant
asanymistakesondeterminingtheamountofthreadavailabletosecurethelamppostcannotberectiedoncethe
concretehasset.
Checkthepackagingandmakesurethatyouhavealltherequiredparts.
Followeachassemblystepinordertopreventincorrectassembly
Makesureallscrews/nuts,includingelectricalconnectionsetcarefullytightenedbeforeuse.

1. Determinethepositionofyourlighttting.Ensurethatthereissufcientpowercabletoconnecttothetting–
werecommendatleast20cm.Ifyouareusingthegroundanchorplate(Diagram A)seeBEFORE YOU START
commentsongroundpreparation.Ifyouareusinganchorbolts(notsupplied)preparethemountingsurfaceas
appropriate.
2. DiagramB.Securetheterminalblockbrackettothelowersectionofthepost.
3. DiagramC.Threadthecablefromtheheadsection(1)throughthepostsection(2)andsecure.
4. Threadcableintothebase(3)andsecurethetoptwosectionsontothebase.
5. DiagramD.Connectthemainssupplycabletotheinternalterminalblock–seewiringdetails.IMPORTANT: This
is a Class I tting and MUST be earthed.Securethelampposttothemountingsurfacemakingsurethatthe
internalcablesarenottrappedordamaged.
6.DiagramE.Constructthetopsectionofthelidasshown.Fitthebulb–never
t bulbs of a higher wattage or of a type other than those specied on the
label as this may cause over heating and damage the tting.Securethelid
ontotheheadframe.
7.Turnonthepowerandtest.
