INSTRUCTION MANUAL
• Thisproductissuitableforconnectionto240V~50Hzsupply,outdoorandbathroomuse.
• Beforeinstallingyourlightttingalwaysswitchoffthemainssupplyandremovetheappropriatefuseor
switchofftheappropriatecircuitbreakerbeforecommencinginstallation.
• ItisrecommendedthatthislightbeinstalledbyaqualiedelectricianinaccordancewithcurrentIEEWiring
RegulationsandBuildingRegulations(PartP).
• ThisisaClassItting,andmustbeconnectedtoEarth.Theterminalblocksaresuppliedaccordingto
requirementsofthetting.
• Nevertbulbsofahigherwattagethanthosespeciedonthelabel(asthesemaycauseoverheatingand
damagethetting).
• Thisproductcontainsdelicateparts.Takecareduringinstallationandmaintenancetoavoidbreakages
• Ifyouareinanydoubtaboutyourcompetencepleaseconsultaqualiedelectrician.
• Ifanymodicationismadeitwillinvalidatethewarrantyandmayrendertheproductunsafe.
• If the glass or diffuser isbroken or cracked it must be replaced, please consult your retailer.Thisis the

Outdoor Use:
• Runsupplywirefroma5-ampelectricalsupplyusingdoubleinsulated3-corecableoftypeH05RN-F1.0mm2
(notsupplied)toselectedsite,ensuringitisadequatelyprotectedthroughthefulllengthofthecablerun,it
mustcomeoutoftheatsurfaceofthewallorstepsinlinewiththeentrytothetting.
• Exceptwhereinstalledinaconduitorductwhichprovidesequivalentprotectionagainstmechanicaldamage,
acableburiedinthegroundshallincorporateanearthedarmourormetalsheathorboth,suitableforuseas
aprotectiveconductor,orbeofinsulatedconcentricconstruction.Buriedcablesshallbemarkedbycable
covers or a suitable marking tape. Buried conduits and ducts shall be suitably identied. Buried cables,
conduitsandductsshallbeatasufcientdepthtoavoidbeingdamagedbyanyreasonablyforeseeable
disturbanceoftheground.
Bathroom Use:
• Thislightmayalsobeinstalledin“Zones1and2andOutsideZones”ofabathroomwherewaterjetsare
notusedforcleaningpurposes.ThesezonesarereferencedinBS7671:2008“RequirementsforElectrical
Installations”,IEEWiringRegulations17thEdition.Alldimensionsmustbecheckedinconjunctionwiththe
Regulations-Pleaseseediagrambelow.

• ThesupplycircuitmustbeprotectedbyanRCD.Ifinstalled
in a bathroom an RCD must be used/ OR the casing
of the light must be connected to the “Supplementary
EquipotentialBonding”pointsinthebathroom.
• An electrician must be consulted if in any doubt about
yourowncompetencyormeaningofbathroom“Zones”or
“EquipotentialBonding”.
Care Information
Allow10minutestocoolbeforereplacing,adjustingorcleaning.Cleanwithadryclothonly.Donotuseliquid
orabrasivecleanersonthisproduct.

1. Decideonthepositionofthelighttting/orremoveexistinglighttting.Takeanoteofthepositionofthe
electricalconnections.Ensurethereisasolidmountingsurface,preferablyawoodenjoistorjoistbridgeto
supporttheweightofthelighttting.
2. Usethebackplateasatemplatetomarkthescrewholes,andsecuretothewallwithappropriatescrew
xings,makingsurethebracketishorizontal.Ensurethattheholeintherubbergrommetsealscorrectly
roundthecabletoguaranteeagoodseal.
3. Supportyourttingandconnectthehousewiringtotheterminalblock-seewiringdiagrambelow.When
youaresureoftheconnectionswraptheTerminalBlockandoverlapthewiringbothsideswith2layersof
insulationtape.NOTE: This is a Class I tting and must be earthed.Anylooseterminalblocksshould
alwaysbecoveredwith2layersofgoodqualityinsulationtape.Re-tthebackboxensuringnowiresare
damaged,trappedorleftexposed.Checktheseal,usesealantifrequired
4. Fitthebulb.NOTE: Never t bulbs of a higher wattage than those specied on the label (as these may
cause overheating and damage the tting).
5. Pushthediffuserintoposition,guidingthespringlugsintotheirslots.Ensurethediffuserisseatedcorrectly
togivetherequiredsealagainstwateringress.
6. LockthediffuserbyttingtheAllenkeyboltsasintheinsetdiagram.
7. Turnonthepowerandtestbycoveringthephotocell.Pleaseseethetablebelowforthephotocell’ssettings.

surethatyouhavealltherequiredparts.Followeachassemblystepinordertopreventincorrectassembly.
Ensurethattheproductisfullyassembledasillustratedbeforeuse.

The following tools may be required:
Selectionofcrossandatheadscrewdrivers.
Electricdrillandassorteddrillbits.
Wirestrippers.
