Step 1A: PC Network Adapter setup for Windows XP (Vista and 7 please skip to 1B)
· [Start Menu] → [Control panel] → [Network].
· Select [Local Area Connection] icon => select [properties]

Step 2: Connect your ECB 1221R to your computer. Open a browser and go to the following address:
192.168.1.1 with the default user name: admin and password: admin

Step 3: [Operation Mode] → [AP] → [Apply Change]

Step 4: [Basic Setting] → [Enable Universal Repeater Mode] → Type your repeater SSID at [SSID] (can
be different → [Channel Number] (must be the same as the repeated one → Type the SSID you want to
repeat at [SSID of Extended Interface] → [Apply Changes]

Step 5: If your repeated network is secured, all the security settings must be the same.
[Security] → [Encryption] → [WPA Cipher Suite] (If suitable → [WPA2 Cipher Suite] (If suitable →
[Pre-shared Key] (Same as the repeated one → [Apply Changes]

Step 6: Go back to step 1. At the last, please select both [Obtain an IP address automatically]
and [Obtain DNS server address automatically]. Then [OK]
