1. Connection to power
Connect 12-24V AC or DC (polarity insensitive)
2. Relay volt-free switch contacts
Max switching current 6amp at 28V
NC (normally closed)
C (common)
NO (normally open).
3. Master code by-pass pins
Short pins together for more than 2 seconds to enter
programming mode without using the master code
4. RTE (request-to-exit)
Connect switch between RTE and 0V
5. Tamper contacts and micro-switch.
The micro-switch contacts on board close when the back
plate is in place. The contact terminals can be used to
trigger an alarm. Rating 6V DC @ 0.1 A.
Note: there is no alarm circuitry on the CA8.
To enter programming mode (default master code 0000):

Error code: If at any time you make an error the unit will
ash and beep 5 times. If this happens the unit will return to
the start and expect you to re-key the sequence.
To change the master code, for example to 8951 (up to 8 digits allowed)

To change the unit settings you must be in programming mode. The yellow LED
indicates the unit is in programming mode; if it is not on you cannot change any settings.
To return unit to factory defaults (be careful, all codes will be deleted)
The Entryphone CA8 is a coded access unit that can be
supplied as a stand-alone unit or incorporated, to special
order, into an Entryphone entrance unit.
Features include:
• 1-8 digit access codes
• Master code to programme the unit
• Up to 32 access codes, each operating either or both relays
• Two 6 amp relays with change-over contacts
• Anti-hack 30 second lock-out after 5 incorrect codes
• Non-volatile memory in case of power failure
• Condence LED and beep (selectable)
• Back-lit keypad
• Relay output times 1-20 seconds and toggle mode
• Tamper-switch
• Input Supply 12/24 V AC or DC
• Power Consumption 7mA min. / 250mA max
• Operating temperature -20°C to + 50°C
Unit operation:
A user operates the unit by entering a valid programmed code
followed by the star key. Depending on the set up for that code
the unit will operate either or both the relays for the length of
time set for that output. Refer to the programming instructions
to set the parameters.

If you key a wrong code, the unit will ash
and beep ve times.
Five invalid entries will cause the keypad to ash and for the
unit to stop accepting further attempts for 30 seconds.
