製品を安全にお使いいただき、作業者や他の人への危害と財産への損害を未然に防ぐために、
必ず守っていただきたいことを説明しています。
設置上のご注意

本製品の通風口を塞がないでください。
通風口を塞ぐと内部に熱がこもり、火災になるおそれがあります。布などで覆ったり、風通
しの悪い場所に設置しないでください。また、マニュアルで指示された設置スペースを確保
してください。

子どもの事故を防ぐために、子どもが近づく環境で設置・使用しないでください。

十分に換気ができる場所で使用してください。
インク、廃インク、洗浄液、クリーニング液の臭いや蒸気によって、気分が悪くなるおそれ
があります。気分が悪くなった場合は、以下の処置をしてください。
• 空気が新鮮な場所に移動してください。
• 保護マスクを着用してください。
• 呼吸が困難な場合や呼吸が停止している場合には、直ちに人工呼吸を行い、医師の診察を
受けてください。

ようにしてから作業を行ってください。

本書は、本製品の搬入後、梱包箱から取り出して使用するまでの作業について説明しています。
付属のマニュアルは、製品の使用開始前に必ずお読みいただき、以降、製品の不明点をいつで
も解決できるように手元に保管してください。

取り扱い上のご注意

移動時を除き、スタンド前側２個のキャスター（車輪）を必ず固定してください。
固定していない場合、事故の原因となります。
硬化ヒーターやヒーター、メディア押さえ板は、高温になっているので注意して作業してく
ださい。

電源に関するご注意
A
電源プラグは刃の根元まで確実に差し込んで使用してください。
感電・火災のおそれがあります。
電源プラグは定期的にコンセントから抜いて、刃の根元、および刃と刃の間を清掃してください。
電源プラグを長期間コンセントに差したままにしておくと、電源プラグの刃の根元にホコリ
が付着し、ショートして火災になるおそれがあります。
電源プラグをコンセントから抜くときは、コードを引っ張らずに、電源プラグを持って抜い
てください。
コードの損傷やプラグの変形による感電・火災のおそれがあります。
濡れた手で電源プラグを抜き差ししないでください。
感電のおそれがあります。
漏電事故防止のため、接地（アース）極付きコンセントに接続してください。
接地極付きコンセント以外に接続すると、感電 ･ 火災のおそれがあります。
ご使用になる電源コンセントを確認してください。接地極付きコンセントではないときは、
販売店に相談してください。
AC200V 以外の電源は使用しないでください。
感電・火災のおそれがあります。
電源プラグは、ホコリなどの異物が付着した状態で使用しないでください。

付属の電源コード以外は使用しないでください。また、付属の電源コードを他の機器に使用

• 熱器具の近くに配線しない
電源コードのたこ足配線はしないでください。
発熱して火災になるおそれがあります。電源コンセント（AC200V）から直接電源を取って
ください。
異常が発生したときや本製品を移動するとき、オプションを取り付けるときは、電
源ケーブルを全て抜き電源を完全に遮断してください。

長期間ご使用にならないときは、安全のため電源プラグをコンセントから抜いてください。
消耗品（インク、メディアなど）、廃インクに関するご注意
インクパック *、クリーニングインクパック *、洗浄液、廃インクを取り扱う前には、製品安全
データシートをお読みください。製品安全データシートは、エプソンのホームページ（https://
www.epson.jp）からダウンロードできます。

メンテナンス作業をするときは、保護メガネ、手袋、マスクなどを着用してください。
インクや廃インク、洗浄液が皮膚に付着したときや目や口に入ったときは、以下の処置をし
てください。
• 皮膚に付着したときは、多量の石けん水で洗い流してください。皮膚に刺激を感じたり変
化があるときは、医師の診断を受けてください。
• 目に入ったときは、すぐに水で洗い流してください。そのまま放置すると目の充血や軽い
炎症を起こすおそれがあります。異常があるときは、医師の診断を受けてください。
• 口に入ったときは、速やかに医師に相談してください。
• 飲み込んだときは、無理に吐かせずに速やかに医師に相談してください。無理に吐かせると、
吐いたものが気管に入ることがあり危険です。
インクパック、クリーニングインクパック、洗浄液、廃インクは、子どもの手の届かない場
所に保管してください。
廃インクボトルの交換や洗浄液を使った作業の後は、手洗いとうがいを十分に行ってください。
メディアを切る際は、カッターなどの刃物で手や指を切らないように注意してください。
インクパックやクリーニングインクパックは強く振らないでください。
強く振ったり振り回したりすると、パックからインクまたはクリーニング液が漏れるおそれ
があります。
メディアの端を手でこすらないでください。
メディアの側面は薄く鋭利なため、けがをするおそれがあります。
メディアは重いので、1 人で運ばないでください。
40 kg 以上のメディアは、リフターの使用をお勧めします。
インクパックやクリーニングインクパックを分解しないでください。
分解するとインクまたはクリーニング液が目に入ったり皮膚に付着するおそれがあります。

Important Safety Instructions
Read all of these instructions before using the printer. Also be sure to follow all warnings and
instructions marked on the printer.
Notes on Installing
!Warning
Do not obstruct the vents on the product.
If the vents are obstructed, the internal temperature could rise and cause a re. Do not cover the
printer with a cloth or install it in a location with poor ventilation. Make sure you secure sucient
space for the installation as described in the manual.

Do not setup or use this product in an area where children may come close.
Children may be injured by the equipment.
Use the printer in a location with sucient ventilation.
The odors or vapors from the ink, waste ink, cleaning liquid, or cleaning uid could cause you to
feel unwell. Take the following measures if you start to feel unwell.
❏Move to a location with fresh air.
❏Wear a protective mask.
❏If you have diculty breathing or if someone's breathing stops, perform articial respiration and
consult a physician immediately.
!Caution
Do not install or store the printer in an unstable location or a location subject to vibrations from
other equipment.
The printer could fall or tip over and cause an injury.
Do not install the printer in locations subject to oily smoke and dust, or in locations subject to
humidity or where it could easily get wet.
An electric shock or re could occur.
Do not tilt the product more than 10 degrees forward, back, left, or right while moving it.
Failure to observe this precaution could result in the printer falling over, causing accidents.
Because the product is heavy, it should not be carried by one person.
Ten people are needed to unpack or carry the printer. See the following for details on the product's
weight.

When lifting the product, make sure you lift at the locations indicated in the manual.
If you lift holding other parts, the printer may fall, catching your ngers and causing an injury. See

Before assembling the product, make sure you clear away the packaging sheets, packing
materials, and supplied items from the installation area.
If you slip or trip on these items, it could cause an injury.
When placing the product on a stand with casters (wheels), make sure you secure the casters
before you perform the work so that they do not move.
If the stand moves while you are performing the work, it could cause an injury.
Do not try to move the stand while the casters (wheels) and adjusters are secured.
Failure to observe this precaution could result in the printer falling over, causing accidents.
When moving the printer while it is on the stand, avoid locations with steps or uneven ooring.
Failure to observe this precaution could result in the printer falling over, causing accidents.
Check the installation procedure for the overturn-prevention plates, which are provided with
the ink unit, and be sure to attach both of the 2 plates.
There is a risk of accidents caused by overturning, etc.
Notes on Handling

Do not use the printer in locations with volatile substances such as alcohol or thinner, or near
naked ames.

Do not use the printer if it is giving o smoke or if you notice any abnormal odors or noises.

power cable immediately, and then contact your dealer or Epson Support.
Never try to repair the printer yourself as this is extremely dangerous.
Do not use the printer in an environment where ammable gas or explosive gas may exist. Do
not use sprays that contain ammable gas inside or near the product.

Only route the cables as indicated in the manual.

Do not insert or drop any metallic or ammable items into the openings on the printer.

If the LCD for the control panel is damaged, be careful of any leaking liquid crystal.
Provide rst aid under any of the following conditions.
❏If liquid adheres to your skin, immediately wipe it o and then wash the area using large
volumes of soapy water.
❏If any liquid gets in your eyes, ush them with clean water for at least 15 minutes, and consult a
physician immediately.
❏If liquid is swallowed, rinse your mouth out with water, swallow large quantities of water and
vomit it back up, and consult a physician immediately.
If any foreign objects or liquid such as water enters the printer, stop using it immediately.
An electric shock or re could occur. Turn o the power and unplug the power cable immediately,
and then contact your dealer or Epson Support.
!Caution
Do not sit on the product or place any heavy objects on the product.
The printer could tip over or break and cause an injury.
When transporting or storing the product, be sure that it is level: do not tilt it at an angle or
place it upside down.
Ink could leak.
Be careful not to trap your hands or ngers when opening or closing the printer cover and the
maintenance covers.
Failure to observe this precaution could result in injury.
When connecting cables or optional accessories, make sure they are installed in the correct
direction and that you follow the procedures exactly.
A re or an injury could occur. Install the printer correctly by following the instructions in the
manual.
When moving the product, make sure it is turned o, the power cable is unplugged from the
outlet, and all connecting cables have been removed.
If cables are damaged, an electric shock or re could occur.
See the manual to make sure the media and the roll core for the auto take-up reel unit are
secured correctly.

Notes on the Power Supply
!Warning
To prevent ground leak accidents, connect to a grounded (earthed) outlet.
Connecting to anything other than a grounded outlet could result in electric shock or re.
Make sure the blades on the plug are inserted completely into the power outlet.
An electric shock or re could occur.
Unplug the plug regularly and clean between the blades and around the base of the blades.
If the plug is plugged in for an extended period of time, dust collects around the base of the blades
and a short circuit or re could occur.
When unplugging the plug, grip the plug itself; do not pull the power cable.
If the cable is damaged or the plug is deformed, an electric shock or re could occur.
Do not insert or unplug the plug with wet hands.

Use only the type of power source indicated on the printer's label.

Do not use the plug if any foreign objects such as dust have adhered to the plug.

Do not connect too many cables to the power outlet for the power cable.
The temperature could rise and cause a re. Connect the power cable directly to an outlet for
domestic use.
When problems occur, or when moving the printer, or installing optional
accessories, unplug all power cables to completely turn o the power.
An electric shock or re could occur.
!Caution
If you are not going to use the printer for an extended period, unplug the printer for safety
reasons.
Notes on Consumables (Ink, Media, and so on) and Waste Ink
Before handling ink supply units*, cleaning ink supply units*, cleaning liquid, or waste ink, read the
product's "Safety data sheet". You can download it at your local Epson Web site.
The asterisk (*) indicates consumable items (sold separately).
!Caution
During maintenance, wear protective clothing, including protective eyewear, gloves, and a
mask.
If ink, waste ink, or cleaning liquid contacts your skin or enters your eyes or mouth, immediately
take the following actions:
❏If uid adheres to your skin, immediately wash it o using large volumes of soapy water. Consult
a physician if the skin appears irritated or is discolored.
❏If uid enters your eyes, rinse immediately with water. Failure to observe this precaution could
result in bloodshot eyes or mild inammation. If problems persist, consult with a physician.
❏If uid enters your mouth, consult a physician immediately.
❏If uid is swallowed, do not force the person to vomit, and consult with a physician immediately.
If the person is forced to vomit, uid may get caught in the trachea which can be dangerous.
Store ink supply units, cleaning ink supply units, cleaning liquid, and waste ink in a location out
of reach of children.
After replacing the waste ink bottle or using the cleaning liquid, wash your hands and gargle
thoroughly.
When cutting media, be careful not to cut your ngers or hands with the cutter or other blades.
Do not shake the ink supply units or cleaning ink supply units too forcefully.
If they are shaken or swung too forcefully, ink or cleaning uid could leak from the cartridges or ink
supply units.
Do not rub your hands along the edges of the media.
The edges of the media are sharp and can cause injury.
!Caution
Because the media is heavy, it should not be carried by one person.
We recommend using the lifter for media that is heavier than 40 Kg.
Do not disassemble the ink supply units or cleaning ink supply units.
If they are disassembled, ink or cleaning uid could leak from the cartridge and enter your eyes or
adhere to your skin.
Other Notes
❏Before moving the printer or installing optional accessories, unplug all power cables to
completely turn o the power.
❏Be sure your power cable meets relevant safety standards of the area where you plan to use it.
❏Connect all equipment to properly grounded power outlets.
❏Do not put your hand inside this product or touch the printer head during printing.
❏Do not put your hand inside this product or touch the white at cable during printing.

設置に適した場所

❏The number of power cables and total amperage are as follows:
2 power cables, total amperage 32 A at 200 – 240 V
If the combined capacity can not be supplied by a single outlet, connect the cables to dierent
outlets with independent power sources.
❏Operate the printer under the following conditions:
Temperature: 15 to 35°C (59 to 95°F)
Humidity: 20 to 80% without condensation
❏Even the conditions above are met, you may not print properly if the environmental conditions
are not proper for the paper. See the instructions of the paper for more detailed information.
❏Keep the printer away from drying, direct sunlight, or heat sources to maintain the appropriate
humidity.
❏Avoid locations subject to dust and sand.
