The PDF manual allows you to search for information you are looking for by
keyword, or jump directly to specific sections using the bookmarks. You can
also print only the pages you need. This section explains how to use a PDF
manual that has been opened in Adobe Reader X on your computer.

Searching by Keyword
Click Edit >Advanced Search. Enter the keyword (text) for information you
want to find in the search window, and then click Search. Hits are displayed
as a list. Click one of the displayed hits to jump to that page.
Jumping Directly from Bookmarks
Click a title to jump to that page. Click +or >to view the lower level titles in
that section. To return to the previous page, perform the following operation
on your keyboard.
• Windows: Hold down Alt, and then press ←.
• Mac OS: Hold down the command key, and then press ←.
Printing Only the Pages You Need
You can extract and print only the pages you need. Click Print in the File
menu, and then specify the pages you want to print in Pages in Pages to
Print.
• To specify a series of pages, enter a hyphen between the start page and the
end page.
Example: 20-25
• To specify pages that are not in series, divide the pages with commas.
Example: 5, 10, 15

Providing a New Videoconferencing Experience with
a High Sense of Presence and Imparting Information
at a Glance
• This projector supports ultra wide aspect ratio 21:9. By holding a video
conference with horizontally wide and large screen images, you can realize
remote communication with a high sense of presence.
• You can also change multiple setting items for the video conference room at
once using the Settings for Video Conference Rooms setting in the
projector's Installation menu.

Realizing a Space-saving Large Screen
You can easily install an impressive, 100 inch screen in a small space.
• 5,000 lm of high brightness realizes crisp, clean images even in bright
environments.
• The high resolution of 4K enhancement technology allows you to display
more information than when using WUXGA or Full HD.
• The projector can be carried by one person and can be easily installed by
just placing it beside a wall.
• You can project a 100 inch screen from the projector installed close to the
wall. Since the projected light is not blocked by shadows, you can make
effective use of your meeting space.
• You can install the projector in a variety of positions such as on a desk, wall,
or ceiling.

• You can use the Epson Setting Assistant application on a smart phone or
tablet that has a camera function to correct distortion more easily.

Flexible Connectivity
This projector supports a wide variety of connectivity options as shown
below.
• You can use an HDMI cable to output video and audio from your computer
or video source.
• To send an HDMI or RS-232C signal over a long distance, you can connect
the projector to an HDBaseT transmitter using a 100Base-TX network cable.
• You can connect a USB device or a document camera.
• Connect with one USB cable to project images and output audio (USB
Display).
• Epson iProjection (Windows/Mac) to project up to four images at the same
time by splitting the projected screen. You can project images from
computers on the network, or from smartphones or tablet devices on which
Epson iProjection is installed.

Projector Parts - Top/Side
Name Function
AObstacle sensors Detects obstacles that are interfering with the
projection area and reduces the brightness of the light
source for safety.
BRemote receiver Receives signals from the remote control.

CProjection window Images are projected from the lens inside the projector.
Warning
• Do not look into the projection window
while projecting.
• Do not place any objects or put your hand
near the projection window. It could cause
burns, fire, or the object to warp because this
area reaches a high temperature due to the
concentrated projection light.
DControl panel Operates the projector.
EFocus lever Adjusts the image focus.
FSide cover latch Slide to remove the side cover.
GAir exhaust vent Exhaust vent for air used to cool the projector
internally.
Caution
While projecting, do not put your face or
hands near the air exhaust vent, and do not
place objects that may become warped or
damaged by heat near the vent. Hot air from
the air exhaust vent could cause burns,
warping, or accidents to occur.
HSecurity slot The security slot is compatible with the Microsaver
Security System manufactured by Kensington.
IPower inlet Connects the power cord to the projector.
JSide cover Open to access the interface ports, focus lever, and
control panel.

AFront adjustable feet When the projector is setup on a surface such as a desk,
turn the feet to correct image distortion.
Caution
Remove all feet when you install the projector
on a wall or suspend it from a ceiling.
BAir intake vent (air
filter)
Takes in air to cool the projector internally.
CWire clamp fixing
point
When you use the optional setting plate or ceiling
mount, fix the carabiner here to attach the safety wire
and prevent the projector from falling from the wall or
ceiling.

internally.

HVESA mount fixing
points (four points)
Use these points to attach the commercially available
mount compatible with the VESA Mounting Interface
Standard (100 × 200 mm) when installing the projector
on a wall or suspending the projector from a ceiling.

Projector Parts - Interface Ports

AUSB-A port (USB-
A1)
Use to connect a USB memory device or digital camera
for projecting movies or images using the PC Free
feature or in Content Playback mode.
Use to connect the optional document camera.
Use to connect a USB memory device to save error and
operation log files.
Use to connect the wireless LAN module.
aIn this guide, USB-A1 and USB-A2
ports are collectively referred to as
the USB-A port.
BUSB-B port Use to connect a USB cable to the computer to project
computer images.
CHDBaseT port
(RJ-45)
Use to connect a LAN cable to the HDBaseT
Transmitter. You can use a network cable up to 100 m
in length. To ensure proper data transmission, use a
Category 5e STP cable or better. However, operation is
not guaranteed for all input/output devices and
environments.
This port is compatible with HDCP2.3.
Check the following settings:
• To enable communication from the Ethernet and
serial ports on the transmitter, select On as the
Control Communications setting in the projector's
Signal I/O menu.

• If you have connected an Extron XTP transmitter or
switcher, select On as the Extron XTP setting in the
projector's Signal I/O menu.

Provides a connection for a commercially available
streaming media player allowing you to power it.

ERS-232C port Use to connect an RS-232C cable to control the
projector from a computer. (This port is for control use
and should not normally be used.)
FLAN port Use to connect a LAN cable to connect to a network.
GHDMI Out port Outputs signals to an external monitor or another
projector.
Connecting an HDMI cable from this port to the
HDMI port on another projector allows you to project
the same image from multiple projectors.
The image is output from the HDMI Out port only
when HDMI1 is selected as the image source.
This port is compatible with HDCP2.3.
HHDMI1 port Inputs video signals from HDMI compatible video
equipment and computers.
Compatible with HDCP 2.3.
IHDMI2 port Inputs video signals from HDMI compatible video
equipment and computers.
Compatible with HDCP 2.3.

D[Enter] button [ ] Enters the current selection and moves to the next level
while displaying the projector's menu.
EArrow buttons Selects menu items while displaying the projector's
menu.
F[Home] button Displays and closes the Home screen.
G[Esc] button Stops the current function.
Moves back to the previous menu level while
displaying the projector's menu.
H[Source] button Changes to the next input source.

Projector Parts - Remote Control
Name Function
APower button [ ] Turns the projector on or off.
B[HDMI] button Switches the image source between the HDMI and
HDBaseT ports.
C[Computer] button This button is not used.
DNumeric buttons Enters numbers in the projector's menu while holding
down the [Num] button.
In Content Playback mode, enter numbers while
holding down the [Num] button to play back your
favorite playlists.
E[Auto] button The [Auto] function is not available.
F[Num] button Hold down this button to enter numbers using the
numeric buttons.
G[Menu] button Displays and closes the projector's menu.
HArrow buttons Selects menu items while displaying the projector's
menu.
I[Enter] button [ ] Enters the current selection and moves to the next level
while displaying the projector's menu.
J[User] button Performs settings assigned in the User Button setting
in the projector's Management menu.
K[Color Mode] button Changes the color mode.
L[Aspect] button Changes the aspect mode.
M[E-Zoom] +/–
buttons
Resizes the projected image.
N[A/V Mute] button Turns the video and audio on or off temporarily.
O[Split] button Projects up to two images from different image sources
simultaneously by splitting the projected screen.
P[Home] button Displays and closes the Home screen.
Q[Freeze] button Pauses or resumes images.
R[Volume] up/down

Adjusts the speaker volume.
S[Default] button Returns the selected setting to its default value.

T[Esc] button Stops the current function.
Moves back to the previous menu level while
displaying the projector's menu.
U[ID] button Hold down this button and press the numeric buttons
to select the ID for the projector you want to operate
using the remote control.
V[LAN] button Switches the image source between the network
connected devices.
W[USB] button Switches the image source between the USB Display
and USB-A port.
X[Source Search]
button
Switches to the next input source.
YRemote control light

Outputs remote control signals.
