Overview
When mounted properly, Ergotron ARMS™ will
provide ergonomic monitor viewing and keyboard
operation for a wide range of users - whether
sitting, standing or in sit/stand situations.
The dimensioned drawings and formulas
contained in this guide can be used to determine
the ergonomically correct mounting height of
any of Ergotron's Flat Panel Monitor/Keyboard
solutions mounted to either a vertical or
a horizontal surface. If mounting above a
worksurface, mounting heights may change due
to various worksurface heights.
The Anthropometric Table on page 17 shows how
mounting heights are calculated based on the eye
and elbow heights of male and female operators.

If your monitor uses a screw size other than M4 x 10mm, DO NOT use the M4 x 10mm
screws or knob provided as they could result in damage to the monitor.
Indien uw monitor voorzien is van een ander type schroef dan de M4 X 10 mm, gebruik
dan beslist niet de door Ergotron geleverde M4 X 10mm schroeven of schroefknoppen,
want deze kunnen de monitor beschadigen.

OVERVIEW
Ergotron's HD Series Arm is factory-set to provide positive pivot control and
a smooth moving force throughout the entire range of motion. To customize
your installation, you will evaluate the operation of each function by moving
the Arm and Monitor through their full range of movement. If excessive force
is required or if the Arm or Monitor do not stay in the desired position, pivot
adjustment is required. Adjust for a controlled motion over the entire range
of travel. Specific adjustment procedures for each function are found on the
following pages.

To Increase Lifting Force of Arm:
rotate nut counter clockwise and test.
Repeat as necessary.
To Decrease Lifting Force of Arm:
rotate nut clockwise and test. Repeat
as necessary.
Test Arm Tilt
(up and down movement).
Adjust as necessary.

CAUTION: Arm must be held in the horizontal position during
adjustment. Adjust at the top nut only. DO NOT turn the nut
beyond the first sign of increased resistance. The bottom nut will
turn during adjustment of the top nut; DO NOT apply any tool to
the bottom nut. Serious damage to the Arm may occur if these
instructions are not followed.
