7. Display
When “Lo-1” appears on the display, the receiver has no power. Please change the
battery in the receiver.
When “Lo-2” appears on the display, the body platform has no power. Please change
the battery in the body platform.
When “Err” appear on the display, it indicates that the scale is over-loaded (more
than 330 Lb / 150 Kg)
When “Err1” appears on the display, it indicates that the receiver is out of reach and
can’t receive the signal.
8. Additional Information
1. Make sure your scale is at room temperature, and on a stable horizontal surface free of
vibration.
2. This scale is not waterproof. Do not expose to moisture.
3. As this scale is a precision instrument, it must be handled with extreme care. Avoid
rough treatment, shaking and vibration.
4. Do not disassemble this scale or the warranty will be void.
5. The display value may be affected by electromagnetic disturbances such as operating
near a radio. If this occurs, move the device that is causing the disturbance and turn
the scale off and restart.

Thank you for choosing the Escali Body Mass Calculating Scale with Infrared Remote. This
precision state-of-the-art measuring instrument is most accurate when weighing on a flat
hard surface. This scale will not function correctly on carpet. As the electronic sensors are
sensitive, avoid dropping or jarring the scale and store where it will be protected from
impact.
1. Power
Place four AAA batteries (total 4) into the battery compartment on the base of the
scale platform. Ensure the +/- terminals are correctly placed as indicated by the dia-
gram within the battery compartment.
On the back of the remote receiver, pull out the insulating tape before
first use from the lithium battery compartment. Note: When “Lo-1” is
shown on the scale, please change the battery in the receiver. When “Lo-
2” is displayed, please change the batteries in the platform.
2. Button Definitions
Press Up once to add the parameter
Press SET once confirm the data input
Press Down once to decrease the parameter.
Unit Key: press to change the weigh mode into KG or LB. The unit key is on the back of
receiver.
Select your desired mode of display by pressing the kg/st/lb button on the base of the
scale.
3. Setting Time
Under time display mode, press Set for 3 seconds until the Year begins flashing on the
display. Press the Up/Down buttons to change the value and press Set to confirm. Repeat
these steps for the Month ,Day,Hour, and Minute. Press Set: the new time and date will
be shown on the display.
Note: If there is no operation for 20 seconds while setting the time, the scale will auto-
matically return to time display mode.
4. Weighing
1. Place the scale on a hard flat surface.
2. Press and Hold the Up button to enter user selection mode. Press the Up/Down

buttons to switch between the 10 available Users (P0-P9). Press Set to
select the desired User and display the height.
3. If setting for a new user, press Set again and the height will begin to
flash. Press the Up/Down buttons to indicate the desired height and
press Set to confirm. After finishing the setting, the data will be re-
corded.
4. Stand on the scale within 20 seconds or the
scale will return to time display. First the
weight is recorded and flashes two times.
Then the weight and BMI will alternate on the
display before returning to the time display mode.
5. Alternatively, the scale can be activated by simply tapping the scale with your foot,
and standing on the scale once “0.0” is displayed. If this method is used, the scale
calculates the BMI using User P0’s height data.
5. Body Mass Index (BMI)
Body mass Index (BMI) is a number calculated from a person’s weight and height. BMI
provides a reliable indicator of body fat for most people and is used to screen for weight
categories that may lead to health problems.
6. Infrared Remote Receiver
The remote receiver is removable and wall mountable for easy reading.
Note: Please ensure that the infrared sending point is in a line with the inrafred
receiving point before mounting.
Choose a convenient height position but less than 6’8” /
2 meters in height. Drill two holes 1.56” apart (40mm),
and fix the screws to the wall.
