QUICK INSTALLATION GUIDE

OVERVIEW
This Quick Start Guide provides basic guidelines for mechanical and electrical
installation of the TGAES Open Path Combustible Gas Detector in preparation
for product startup. For detailed testing, troubleshooting and operation
instructions, refer to the TGAES Operating Manual.
The TGAES Operating Manual can be downloaded from the ESP Safety website:
www.espsafetyinc.com
Prior to startup of the TGAES, review that the following have been completed:
Pre Startup Checklist:
1. Verify that the TGAES Receiver and Transmitter have been properly
mounted.
2. Verify that all conduit/cable gland entries have been tightened and sealed, if
necessary
3. Verify that all wiring to the transmitter and receiver have been installed
correctly.
4. Verify that the transmitter and receiver are properly earth grounded.
6. Verify that the transmitter and receiver rear covers are securely tightened
and locked with the housing cover lock screw.
7. Disconnect or power down all output devices and alarms to prevent false
actuation.
CONGRATULATIONS! You have successfully installed your TGAES Open Path
Combustible Gas Detector and are now ready to apply power and perform
alignment and startup procedures.
