QUICK START GUIDE
CURLING GUIDE
• There are many ways to use this curler. Here are
starter settings tested by Etekcity engineers.
• This chart is for reference only. Adjust based on your
actual results.

HAIR PULLED
OR STUCK?
• If the curler pulls on your hair at the roots:
• Pull the curler in the direction of the ends of your
hair.
• Make sure your hair and the curler are in the right
position (see Using Your Curler).
• If the curler still pulls on your hair, follow the
numbered steps below to release your hair.
• If your hair is stuck in the curler:
1. Release the Rotate Button.
2. Turn the curler off.
3. Pull the curler straight down. If hair is stuck firmly,
you may need to use some force.
4. After hair is released, turn on the curler and press
the Rotate Button to allow the heating plates to
rotate back to the correct position.

CAUTIONS
Do not put too much tension on the cord.
Curler must be OFF when plugged in, or it will not turn on.

6. Place hair inside the curler.
a. Make sure the front of the curler is facing
towards your head. (See Front View to the right.)
b. If hair is put in the back of the curler, it may jam.
(See Back View to the right.)
c. Make sure your hair is angled downward so it
passes through the circular openings on both
sides.
7. Press and hold the
Rotate Button. Keep
pressing to curl hair.

hair away from
the curling
chamber.
b. Keep the front
side of the curler
toward your
head.
c. Keep the curler
upright as you
curl.

2 beeps 10 sec
3 beeps 15 sec

Note: The curler will
automatically stop rotating
after 30 seconds.
4. Choose the curl
direction.
5. Take a 1 inch / 2–3 cm
section of hair.
1. Hair should be clean,
dry, and brushed
thoroughly to avoid
tangling.
2. Choose a
temperature. Curler
will start heating.
3. Light will flash as
curler heats. When
the light stops
flashing, the curler
is ready.

USING YOUR CURLER

8. The curler will beep to
let you know how long

your hair.
9. Release the Rotate
Button after the
desired length of time,
and pull the curler
straight down to
release your hair.
