BATTERIES
1. Remove the battery compartment’s cover by
pushing the cover toward the bottom of the
product.
2. Install two ‘AAA’ batteries (not included)
according to the polarity diagram.
3. Turn on the unit.
PREVENTING BATTERY ACID LEAKAGE:
To minimize the possibility of battery acid
leakage, only use high quality alkaline, lithium
or rechargeable nickel-metal-hydride batteries.
Never intermix old with new, or different brands
or types of batteries. Damage caused by battery
acid leakage is not covered by this product’s
warranty.
If the sound becomes low or distorted, replace
with new batteries. Prior to long term radio
storage, remove the batteries to prevent possible
battery leakage.
ADAPTER
The MINI’s AC adapter’s is rated at 3 Volts.
1. Plug one port of the adaptor into the AC
socket and plug the other port into the DC
jack.
2. Turn on the unit.

Note: The MINI will not charge batteries when powered via an AC
adapter.
POWER ON / OFF
1. Install the batteries.
2. Press the <POWER> button shortly to turn on
the unit.
3. The word “on” will appear on the display.
4. After turning on the unit, press the <POWER>
button shortly again to turn off the unit.
LOCK FUNCTION
Push the <LOCK> switch in the upper right corner
of the unit down to lock (disable)all of the buttons
for the MINI.
SETTING THE TIME
1. Install the batteries.
2. With the radio off, hold down the <TIME>
button. At the same time, press the <HOUR>
button shortly to set the hour, press the <MIN>
button shortly to set the minute. After settings,
release the <TIME> button to nish setting.
SETTING THE ALARM FUNCTION
Set the Alarm Time
1. Install the batteries.
2. Hold <ALARM> button down, the alarm time
which was set last time and “ALARM” indicator

appears in the display, at the same time, press
<HOUR> shortly to set the hour and press
<MIN> shortly to set the minute. After setting,
release <ALARM> button and the unit will
save the settings automatically.
Activate the Alarm Function
1. After setting the alarm time, select the band.
2. Press <ALARM> button shortly, the “ALARM”
indicator appears and the alarm function is
activated.
3. When reach the alarm time, the unit will turn
on automatically and play the program which
you selected.
Deactivate the Alarm Function
Press <ALARM> button shortly once, if the
“ALARM” indicator disappears from the display,
the alarm function is canceled.
ADJUST THE VOLUME
1. Turn on the unit.
2. Rotate the <Volume>dial to adjust the volume.
SELECT THE BAND
1. Turn on the unit.
2. Push the <BAND> switch to select FM/AM/
SW1/SW2.

NOTES: When selecting the FM band, “FM” appears in the display; when
selecting the AM (MW) band, “MW” appears in the display; when selecting
the SW1/SW2 band, “SW” appears in the display.
TUNING IN STATIONS
1. Turn on the unit.
2. Adjust the volume.
3. Select the band.
4. For best reception of FM and SW programs:
5. Extend the telescopic antenna fully, position
the radio close to a window, adjust the
<TUNE>dial to the desired frequency and
rotate the antenna for best reception.
When listening to AM (MW):
The radio uses an internal, directional, ferrite
bar antenna for AM (MW). Please adjust the
<TUNE>dial to the desired frequency and rotate
the entire radio for the best reception.
NOTE: When listening to AM (MW) you need not extend the telescopic
antenna.
LISTENING TO SHORTWAVE
Shortwave allows listening to stations from
around the world. During the day, frequencies
above 13 MHz provide the best reception. At
night, frequencies below 13 MHz provide the best

• Please do not use earphones at a high volume
and do not use it for extended periods of time.
• Please turn off the radio before sleeping.
• Please do not use the earphones while driving or
riding/walking across a road.

dispose of them safely and help protect the

To obtain service for your product, we recommend

trouble-shooting. If further service is required,
the technical staff will instruct how to proceed
based on whether the radio is still under warranty
or needs non-warranty service.
WARRANTY
If your product is still in warranty and the Etón
service representative determines that warranty
service is needed, a return authorization will
be issued and instructions for shipment to an
authorized warranty repair facility. Do not ship
your radio back without obtaining the return
authorization number.

NON-WARRANTY
If your product is no longer under warranty and
requires service our technical staff will refer you
to the nearest repair facility that will be able to
best handle the repair.

PILES
1. Retirez le couvercle du compartiment de la
batterie en poussant le couvercle vers le bas
du produit.
2. Installez deux piles « AAA » (non incluses)
selon le schéma de polarité.
3. Allumez l’appareil.
PRÉVENIR LA FUITE D’ACIDE DE LA
BATTERIE
Pour minimiser la possibilité d’une fuite
d’acide des piles, utilisez uniquement des piles
alcalines de haute qualité, lithium ou des piles
rechargeables nickel-métal-hydrure.
Ne mélangez jamais anciennes et nouvelles piles,
ou des piles de marques ou de types différents.
Les dommages causés par une fuite d’acide de la
batterie ne sont pas couverts par la garantie de
ce produit.
Si le son devient faible ou déformé, remplacez
les piles par des neuves. Avant un stockage
prolongé de la radio, retirez les piles pour éviter
d’éventuelles fuites de batterie.
ADAPTATEUR
L’adaptateur secteur de la MINI est calibré à 3
Volts.

1. Branchez un port de l’adaptateur dans la prise
secteur et branchez l’autre port dans la prise
CC.
2. Allumez l’appareil.
Remarque : la MINI ne charge pas les piles lorsqu’alimentée via un
adaptateur secteur.
MARCHE / ARRÊT
1. Installez les piles.
2. Appuyez sur le bouton <POWER> peu de
temps pour mettre en marche l’appareil.
3. Le mot « on » s’afche sur l’écran.
4. Après avoir allumé l’appareil, appuyez sur le
bouton <POWER>peu de temps à nouveau
pour éteindre l’appareil.
FONCTION DE VERROUILLAGE
Pousser le commutateur <LOCK> dans le coin
supérieur droit de l’appareil vers le bas pour
verrouiller (désactiver) tous les boutons de la
MINI.
RÉGLAGE DE L’HEURE
1. Installez les piles.
2. La radio éteinte, maintenez enfoncé le bouton
<TIME>. Dans le même temps, appuyez sur le
bouton <HOUR> peu de temps pour régler

l’heure, appuyez sur le bouton <MIN> peu de
temps pour régler les minutes.
3. Après réglages, relâchez le bouton <TIME>
pour terminer le réglage.
RÉGLAGE DE LA FONCTION ALARME
Réglez l’heure de l’alarme
1. Installez les piles.
2. Maintenez le bouton <ALARM> vers le bas,
l’heure de l’alarme qui a été xé la dernière
fois et l’indicateur « ALARM » apparaît à
l’écran, dans le même temps, appuyez sur
<HOUR> peu de temps pour régler l’heure
et appuyez sur <MIN> peu de temps pour
régler les minutes. Après réglage, relâchez le
bouton <ALARM> et l’appareil enregistre les
paramètres automatiquement.
Activer la fonction alarme
1. Après avoir réglé l’heure de l’alarme,
sélectionnez la bande.
2. Appuyer sur le bouton <ALARM> peu de
temps, l’indicateur « alarme » apparaît et la
fonction alarme est activée.
3. Quand l’heure de l’alarme est atteinte,
l’appareil s’active automatiquement et joue le
programme que vous avez sélectionné.

Désactiver la fonction alarme
Appuyez sur le bouton <ALARM> brièvement une
fois, si l’indicateur « ALARM » disparait de l’écran,
la fonction alarme est annulée.
RÉGLER LE VOLUME
1. Allumez l’appareil.
2. Tournez la molette de <Volume> pour régler
le volume.
SÉLECTIONNER LA BANDE
1. Allumez l’appareil.
2. Poussez le commutateur <BAND> pour
sélectionner FM/AM/SW1/SW2.
Remarque : lorsque vous sélectionnez la bande FM, « FM » apparaît à
l’écran ; lors de la sélection de la bande AM (MW), « MW » apparaît sur
l’écran ; Lorsque vous sélectionnez la bande SW1/SW2, « SW » apparaît
sur l’écran.
SYNTONISER DES STATIONS
1. Allumez l’appareil.
2. Réglez le volume
3. Sélectionnez la bande.
4. Pour une meilleure réception des programmes
FM et SW :
5. Déployez l’antenne télescopique entièrement,
positionnez la radio près d’une fenêtre, réglez
la molette <TUNE> à la fréquence désirée et

faites pivoter l’antenne pour une meilleure
réception.
Lorsque vous écoutez AM (MW) :
La radio utilise une antenne directionnelle en
barreau de ferrite pour AM (MW). Veuillez régler
le cadran <TUNE> à la fréquence désirée et faites
pivoter l’ensemble de la radio pour une meilleure
réception.
Remarque : lorsque vous écoutez AM (MW) vous ne devez pas déployez
l’antenne télescopique.
ÉCOUTER LES ONDES COURTES
Les ondes courtes permettent d’écouter des
stations du monde entier. Pendant la journée, les
fréquences supérieures à 13 MHz fournissent la
meilleure réception. Dans la nuit, les fréquences
inférieures à 13 MHz fournissent la meilleure
réception. Pour en savoir plus, utilisez un site
de recherche sur Internet ou consultez les deux
ouvrages ci-dessous :
