electronic products must be collected separately by a local collection
system. Please act according to your local rules and do not dispose of
your old products with your normal household waste.

TURNING THE RADIO ON AND OFF
Turn the Scorpion on and off by pressing the POWER button.
ADJUSTING THE VOLUME
Use the “Up” and “Down” buttons to set VOLUME control
to the desired level.
POWER SOURCES
1. Rechargeable battery pack
2. DC input power adapter (sold separetely)
DYNAMO POWER
Crank charging it for 90 seconds will allow it to play for about
5 minutes, at low volume. If you crank for a longer period, it will
play longer.
SOLAR POWER
When solar charging the radio, place it into direct sunlight
(not through a window, screen, in articial light or in shade)
for 8 to 10 hours to get a full charge, after which it should
play for about 4 to 5 hours, at low volume.

CELL PHONE CHARGING
To charge a cell phone you must put the Scorpion into cell
phone charging mode. To do this, turn the Scorpion on and
then press the M button over and over until you see the clock
with CELL in the lower right corner. Then turn the crank for
about 10 minutes to charge the phone enough to make one
or two short, emergency calls.
If your cell phone has a USB charging cord, you can use it. If not, you
can purchase one from www.iGo.com, or call 1-888-205-0093. To
purchase a charging tip and cord for your cell phone, go to www.
iGo.com, or call 1-888-205-0093 for USB charging cable model#
PS00271-0003. Have the brand and model of your cell phone ready
when purchasing a cell phone tip.
USING THE LIGHT
Turn the light on and off with the light switch button, located on
top of the unit, near the light.
EARPHONE JACK
Plug in earphones (not included). Sound is heard from both sides in
monaural (mono).

SERVICE FOR YOUR PRODUCT
To obtain service for your product, we recommend rst contact-
ing an Etón service representative at 1-800-872-2228 (US),
1-800-637-1648 (Canada) or [phone] (Worldwide) for
problem determination and trouble-shooting. If further service
is required, the technical staff will instruct how to proceed based
on whether the radio is still under warranty or needs
non-warranty service.
WARRANTY – If your product is still in warranty and the Etón
service representative determines that warranty service is needed,
a return authorization will be issued and instructions for shipment to
an authorized warranty repair facility. DO NOT ship your radio back
without obtaining the return authorization number.
NON-WARRANTY – If your product is no longer under warranty
and requires service our technical staff will refer you to the nearest
repair facility that will be able to best handle the repair.
For service outside of North America, please refer to the
distributor information included at time of purchase or receipt.

AVERTISSEMENT

ALLUMER ET ÉTEINDRE LA RADIO
Appuyez sur le bouton ALIMENTATION pour allumer ou
éteindre le Scorpion.
RÉGLER LE VOLUME
Réglez le volume avec les touches « Haut » et « Bas ».
ALIMENTATION
1. Batterie rechargeable
2. Adaptateur secteur (vendu séparément)
ALIMENTATION PAR DYNAMO
Tourner la manivelle pendant 90 secondes donne à l’appareil une
autonomie de 5 minutes à faible volume. Tournez la manivelle plus
longtemps prolonge l’autonomie.
ALIMENTATION PAR PANNEAU SOLAIRE
Pour recharger complètement l’appareil avec son panneau solaire,
exposez-le à la lumière directe du Soleil (et non à travers une
fenêtre, à l’ombre ou sous une lumière articielle) pendant 8 à 10
heures. Cela donne à l’appareil une autonomie de 4 à 5 heures à
faible volume.

12 HEURES À 24 HEURES
1. Appuyez et restez appuyé sur le bouton “M”
Une seule pression va commuter jusqu’à ce que
l’affichage indique “12”
RECHARGER UN TÉLÉPHONE PORTABLE
Pour recharger un téléphone portable, vous devez mettre le
Scorpion dans le mode de recharge d’un téléphone portable.
Pour cela, allumez le Scorpion, puis appuyez plusieurs fois sur
la touche M jusqu’à ce que l’horloge et CELL s’afchent dans le
coin droit inférieur. Puis, tournez la manivelle pendant environ
10 minutes an de sufsamment recharger le téléphone pour
pouvoir effectuer un ou deux appels d’urgence courts.
Si votre téléphone portable est équipé d’un câble de recharge USB,
utilisez-le. Dans le cas contraire, vous pouvez en acheter un sur
le site www.iGo.com ou en appelant le 1-888-205-0093. Lors de
l’achat du câble de recharge et d’un embout adaptateur pour votre
téléphone portable, indiquez le numéro de câble de recharge USB «
PS00271-0003 » sur le site www.iGo.com ou au 1-888-205-0093.
Veillez à pouvoir fournir la marque et le modèle de votre téléphone
portable lorsque vous achetez un embout adaptateur pour votre
téléphone portable.

UTILISER LA LAMPE TORCHE
Le bouton situé sur le dessus de l’appareil près de la lampe
torche pour permet d’allumer et d’éteindre cette dernière.
PRISE ÉCOUTEURS
Branchez des écouteurs (non fournis). Le signal sonore transmis aux
écouteurs droit et gauche est monophonique.
ENREGISTREMENT DE LA GARANTIE
An d’assurer une couverture complète de la garantie et les mises à
jour du produit, l’enregistrement de votre produit doit être effectué
le plus tôt possible après l’achat ou la réception. Vous pouvez utiliser
une des options suivantes pour enregistrer votre produit:

2. Par courrier avec la carte de garantie ci-jointe.

Conservez l’information de garantie de votre carte de garantie
avec votre preuve d’achat ou bien l’information de garantie
limitée peut être consultée sur www.etoncorp.com.
MAINTENANCE DE VOTRE PRODUIT
Pour obtenir la maintenance de votre produit, nous recommandons
de contacter d’abord le service clientèle Etón au 1-800-872-2228
US, 1- 800-637-1648 Canada ou [phone] US, customersvc@
etoncorp.com ou le distributeur de votre pays en Europe (voir la liste
fournie) pour déterminer le problème et le dépannage. Si une interven-
tion complémentaire est nécessaire, l’équipe technique vous indiquera
la façon de procéder suivant que la radio est toujours sous garantie ou
si elle nécessite une intervention hors garantie.
GARANTIE – Si votre produit est toujours sous garantie et si le
représentant du service clientèle de Etón juge nécessaire une
réparation garantie, une autorisation de retour sera délivrée
ainsi que les instructions pour l’expédition à un atelier agréé
pour la réparation sous garantie. NE RENVOYEZ PAS votre radio
sans avoir obtenu le numéro d’autorisation de retour.
HORS GARANTIE – Si votre produit n’est plus sous garantie et
nécessite une réparation, notre équipe technique vous adressera à
l’atelier de réparation le plus proche qui sera apte à réaliser au mieux
la réparation.
Pour une réparation hors de l’Amérique du Nord, veuillez vous
reporter à l’information sur les distributeurs qui vous a été fournie
lors de l’achat/réception.
