AboutYourProductWarranty
EasternTools&Equipment,Inc.welcomeswarrantyrepairandapologizestoyouforbeing
inconvenienced.AnyAuthorizedServiceDealermayperformwarrantyrepairs.Mostwarranty
repairsarehandledroutinely,butsometimeswarrantyservicemaybeinappropriate.Forexample,
warrantywouldnotapplyifanengineisdamagedbecauseofmisuse,lackofroutinemaintenance,
shipping,handling,warehousingandimproperinstallation.Similarly,warrantyisvoidiftheserial
numberontheenginehasbeenremovedoriftheenginehasbeenalteredormodified.Ifa
customerdifferswiththedecisionoftheServiceDealer,aninvestigationwillbemadetodetermine
whetherthewarrantyapplies.AsktheServiceDealertosubmitallsupportingfactstohis
Distributororthefactoryforreview.Ifthedistributororthefactorydecidesthattheclaimis
justified,thecustomerwillbefullyreimbursedforthoseitemsthataredefective.Toavoid

Thiswarrantycoverenginerelateddefectivematerialand/orworkmanshiponly,andnot
replacementorrefundoftheequipmenttowhichtheenginemaybemounted.Nordesthe
warrantyextendtorepairsrequiredbecauseof:
1. Problemscausedbypartsthatarenotoriginaleasterntools&equipment,inc.,parts.
2. Equipmentcontrolsorinstallationsthatpreventstarting,causeunsatisfactoryengine
performance,orshortenenginelife.(Contactequipmentmanufacturer.)
3. Leakingcarburetor,cloggedfuelpipes,stickingvalves,orotherdamage,causedbyusing
contaminatedorstalefuel.(Useclean,fresh,lead‐freegasoline.)
4. Partswhicharescoredorbrokenbecauseanenginewasoperatedwithinsufficientor
contaminatedlubricatingoil,orandincorrectgradoflubricatingoil(checkoilleveldaily
orafterevery8hoursofoperation.Refillwhennecessaryandchangeatrecommended

plugsorclogsthecoolingfins,orflywheelare,ordamagedcausedbyoperatingthe
engineinaconfinedareawithoutsufficientventilation.
8. Engineorequipmentpartsbrokenbyexcessivevibrationcausedbyaloosencutter
bladesunbalancedbladesorlooseunbalancedimpellers,improperattachmentof
equipmenttoenginecrankshaft,overspeedingorotherabuseinoperation.
9. Abentorbrokencrankshaft,causedbystrikingasolidobjectwiththecutterbladeofa
rotarylawnmower,orexcessivev‐belttightness.
10. Routinetune‐uporadjustmentoftheengine.
11. Engineorenginecomponentfailure,i.e.,combustionchamber,valves,valveseats,valve
guides,orburnedstartermotorwinding,causedbythealternatedfuelssuchas,

otheremission‐relatedassemblies.
Whereawarrantableconditionexists,EasternTools&Equipment,Inc.willrepairyoursmall
nonroadengineatnocosttoyouincludingdiagnosis,partsandlabor.

Equipment,Inc.cannotdenywarrantysolelyforthelackofreceiptsorforyourfailuretoensure
