Congratulaons on the purchase of your new eTrike. This manual is designed to give you
the informaon that you need for the safe operaon and maintenance of your eTrike.
Please read it thoroughly before riding your eTrike.
Your eTrike’s serial or VIN number is engraved underneath the front basket on the frame.
Please record it below in the event that your eTrike is lost or stolen. You may also want
to register your serial number with your local police department. Please retain your sales
receipt as proof of purchase and keep with the informaon below.

INTRODUCTION
Riding an eTrike involves risk of injury and damage. By choosing to ride an eTrike, you
assume the responsibility for that risk, so it is important to know and pracce the rules
of safe and responsible riding, and of proper use and maintenance. Proper use and
maintenance of your eTrike reduces risk of injury.
This manual makes no representaon about the safe use of the eTrike under all condions.
There are risks associated with the use of an eTrike which cannot be predicted or avoided,
and which are the sole responsibility of the rider. As with all vehicles, pracce defensive
riding to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
Electric tricycles are relavely new to the vehicle landscape. Riders are at present generally
required to obey current state and local bicycle laws and regulaons where they ride, in
addion to relevant motor vehicle and trac laws. These laws and regulaons vary by
jurisdicon. It is the responsibility of the rider to be aware of, understand and obey these
laws and regulaons and any changes therein as they aect the riding of your eTrike. For
informaon on your state and local laws and regulaons, contact the appropriate state
and local government oces directly or visit their ocial websites.
Laws in your jurisdicon may not require wearing a helmet. For your safety, eTrikeCo
recommends wearing a helmet and protecve eye wear when operang your eTrike.
Proper helmets must meet standards set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
(CPSC).
Also, for your safety and the maximum life service of your eTrike, ensure you understand
and adhere to the capacies for your eTrike model including load, climbing ability and
maximum range.

your eTrike under current bicycle laws. (Note: eTrikeCo does not endorse or claim the
informaon provided by these resources to be legally accurate. Please refer to your ocial

GENERAL WARNING
To ensure op mal and safe performance of your eTrike, it is important to perform
the following checks before every ride. Failure to do so could result in unsafe con-
di ons, poor performance, and/or poten al damage to your eTrike.
1. Ba ery - Check the ba ery life indicator and charge, if needed. Your eTrike can travel
a max range of 30 miles on a full charge and up to 60 miles using the pedal assist. To
maximize use per trip, it is recommended you do not allow the ba ery capacity to
decrease to less than 20%. When the ba ery is at 20% or lower, promptly charge the
ba ery to full capacity.
FIRST RIDE: Charge the ba ery to full capacity before your rst ride.
2. Front/rear brakes – Make sure both the front and rear hand brakes engage e ec vely
to bring the eTrike to a complete stop.
3. Tires – Make sure all res are at 20 psi, and that there is no damage or extreme wear
that compromises their integrity.
NOTE: Improper re in a on can lead to dangerous condi ons including, but, not limited
to abnormal re wear, re slippage and other compromises in vehicle performance
4. Lights – Make sure the headlights func on properly.
5. Instrument display – Make sure the display for ba ery life, speedometer and
odometer func ons properly.
6. Parking brake – Make sure the parking brake e ec vely locks and releases the rear
brake.
7. Steering control/alignment – Make sure the steering column is stable and aligned,
and turns properly to the le and right.
ROUTINE INSPECTION BEFORE RIDING
I.
ETRIKE ON/OFF BUTTON
a.
ON – To engage the electric motor and enable the eTrike to be driven, press the
On/O bu on un l the screen is On.
b.
OFF – To disengage the electric motor, press the On/O bu on un l the screen
is O .
II.
THROTTLE CONTROLLER – RIGHT HANDLE
The thro le controls the ow of electrical power to the motor which propels the eTrike.
a.
Put the pedal assist on leven one (1) and grasp the thro le and roll it
backwards/towards you to propel the eTrike.
b.
Release the thro le to stop the eTrike from con nuing to propel.
The current speed of the eTrike can be regulated by adjus ng the amount of roll of the
thro le. Full roll to the thro le’s stopping point allows the eTrike to travel at the maximum
speed.
Exercise due cau on when opera ng your eTrike in inclement weather and where
condi ons on the road, sidewalk or other driving areas may be hazardous.
Although your eTrike is weather-resistant, prolonged exposure to moisture can
poten ally cause minor, temporary shut down in the vehicle’s circuitry. This in-
terrup on will self-correct once the eTrike is allowed to su ciently dry out.
AVOID taking turns sharply and at high speed. This can result in pping the eTrike.
BOTH HANDS must be used on the steering handles at all mes. Sudden and abrupt
turns, not using both hands or riding in uneven terrain while opera ng can cause
the eTrike to become unstable and p over.
NEVER drive your eTrike through standing water! Immersion of the motor, bat-
tery or other electrical components can cause short circuits and/or serious dam-
age to those components.

III.
PEDAL ASSIST
The pedal assist is a hybrid op on between the thro le and regular pedaling. The eTrike
motor will engage while pedaling and provide ve (5) levels of pedal assist.
To turn on the pedal assist func on, push the up arrow to the desired level of assist. The
controllers are located on the le handle.
IV.
6 SPEED SHIFTER
The eTrike is a six (6) speed tricycle.
a.
Up Shi ing towards gear six (6) will provide more resistance while pedaling and
higher speed.
b.
Down Shi ing towards gear one (1) will provide less resistance while pedaling
and less speed.
V.
TURNING
In the United States, bicyclists are required to use hand signals to alert surrounding tra c
of their inten on to turn or change lanes.
OPERATING YOUR ETRIKE
Release of the thro le does NOT engage the braking system. In order to fully stop
the eTrike from moving, you must engage the brakes.

Avoid taking turns sharply and at high speed. This can result in pping the eTrike.
VI.
SLOWING DOWN/BRAKING
In the United States, bicyclists are required to use a hand signal to alert surrounding tra c
of their inten on to slow down or stop.
a.
Braking: Release the thro le and squeeze both the front and rear hand brakes
with equal pressure un l the eTrike comes to a full stop.
b.
Slow Down: Release the thro le and squeeze both the front and rear hand
brakes with enough equal pressure to slow the eTrike down to the desired speed.
VII.
INSTRUMENT DISPLAY
a.
Ba ery Life Indicator – Displays the current ba ery life in bars.
b.
Trip Odometer – Displays the mileage per trip/igni on.
c.
Speedometer – Displays your current speed.
d.
Pedal Assist - Displays the level of pedal assist selected.
VIII.
HEADLIGHT
The headlight can be used whenever low visibility in natural light compromises the safe
opera on of your eTrike.
a.
To turn the headlight On/O , press the eTrike pedal assist up arrow bu on un l
the headlight is On/O .

IX.
PARKING/PARKING BRAKE
When your eTrike is not in use, engage the parking brake to insure no movement.
a.
To engage the parking brake:
i.
Squeeze the le and/or right hand brake fully and hold in place.
ii.
Fasten the brake lever so it forces the hand brake to stay in braking posion.
b.
To disengage the parking brake:
i.
Hold the hand brake strong enough to release the brake lever to the original
posion.
X.
STORAGE
The eTrike oers various onboard storage opons including a front and rear basket. The
rear basket comes with a zip enclosed waterproof compartment.
XI.
FRONT FORK
The front fork provides shock absorpon for smoother ride when needed.
a.
To lock the front fork, turn the lever on the right side of the fork, clockwise.
b.
To open the front fork, turn the lever on the right side of the fork, counter
clockwise.

To adjust the air on the front fork, turn the lever on the le side.
XII.
SAFETY BUTTON
The eTrike has a safety buon on the right handlebar. It allows the power to reach the
throle. Push the buon to acvate the throle.
OPERATING YOUR ETRIKE

Take reasonable precau ons when charging and NEVER use the charger in a damp
environment or in the presence of combus ble items.
The charger may become hot during the charging process. To prevent a poten al
re hazard, NEVER cover the charger while charging to allow for the dissipa on
of heat.
If you encounter any di culty charging your eTrike or experience unusual oc-
currences in the charging process, immediately shut o the power and contact
eTrikeco or authorized service vendor for service.
Avoid ge ng any liquid around the ba ery as this can poten ally cause leakage,
overhea ng smoke and possible explosion.
Your eTrike comes with a ba ery charger. DO NOT use other chargers to charge your eTrike
Use the ba ery life indicator on the eTrike instrument display to gauge the ba ery life. To
maximize use per trip, do not allow the ba ery life to decrease to less than 20%. When
the ba ery life is at 20% or lower, promptly charge the ba ery to full capacity.
FIRST RIDE: Charge the ba ery to full capacity before you take your rst ride.
I.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
a.
Plug the receptacle end of the charger power cable into the eTrike ba ery.
b.
Plug the charger power cable into a standard household AC 110V outlet.
NOTE: To protect the eTrike from poten al damage as a result of power surges, it is
strongly recommended that a surge protec ve device is used when plugging into a
standard household AC 110V outlet.

CHARGER LIGHT INDICATORS
When the charger power cable is plugged in, the charger box light will be acvated.
a.
A red light on the charger box indicates that the baery is not fully charged,
but that there is a proper connecon and the baery is receiving an electrical
charge. Full charge can take up to 8 hours depending on the level of depleon in
the baery.
b.
A solid green light on the charger box indicates your eTrike is fully charged.
Promptly unplug the charger once the green light is displayed.
III.
BATTERY REMOVAL
The baery can be removed from the eTrike if needed.
a.
Insert the key in the key hole on the right side of the baery frame.
b.
Turn the key clockwise. It unlocks the pin allowing the baery to be removed.
c.
Turn the knob on the baery and pull it out of the frame.
IV.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
a.
Make sure the key is in the unlock posion.
b.
Slide the top part of the baery rst and then push the boom part unl the
baery is fully inserted in the compartment.
c.
Turn the key counter clockwise. It locks the pin prevenng the baery to be
removed.

BATTERY INFORMATION
The lithium ion baery that comes with your eTrike can last over 1000 charges or 2 to 3
years with average use and proper care. Do not use the baery for any other purpose than
to power your eTrike. Do not aempt to disassemble or modify the baery.
CHARGING YOUR ETRIKE/BATTERY INFORMATION
All vehicles experience some level of wear over the course of operaon. In addion to
performing the Roune Inspecon listed in this manual, it is recommended that you
perform preventave maintenance to further ensure the opmal performance and service
life of your vehicle, and for your safety. If you are uncertain of how to perform any of the
following preventave maintenance, seek professional service. Preventave maintenance
should include the following:
I.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
a.
Keep the motor clean to insure proper acceleraon and dynamic performance.
b.
Make sure the throle rotates freely.
c.
Make sure the hand brakes and parking brake are operaonal.
d.
Inspect the front shock absorber for damage and insure it is funconing
properly.
e.
Make sure all res are properly inated to the recommended PSI of 20.
f.
Inspect all electrical components to make sure they are funconing properly.
g.
Make sure all fasteners and screws are ghtly secured throughout the eTrike
body.
h.
Keep your eTrike vehicle clean as a buildup of dirt and other substances can
impair proper funconing.
i.
Make sure all lubricaon points are well-oiled. Do not allow oil to leak onto the
eTrike.
j.
Keep the chain of your eTrike vehicle clean and greased, specially if used on
surfaces such as sand or mud.
II.
FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER
Inspect the front shock absorbers regularly. Replace the shock absorbers immediately if
damage or failure is found.
Note: The front fork should be kept clean to insure proper funconing of the front shock
absorbers.

III.
TIRES AND WHEELS
a.
Inspect the res for cuts, embedded objects or other condions/damage that
can compromise the res’ performance.
b.
Inspect the res for proper inaon. This inspecon should always be performed
while the res are “cold” before driving the vehicle. Recommended re pressure
is 20 PSI.
c.
Inspect the wheel rims for dents or distorons that can adversely aect the res’
inaon or performance.
IV.
BATTERY
a.
It is recommended that you do not discharge the baery to less than 20%. Once
the baery has been discharged, it should be promptly charged.
b.
If the baery shows signs of warping or becomes very hot, stop use immediately.
V.
STORAGE OF YOUR ETRIKE/CHARGER
a.
Store under cover that protects the eTrike from prolonged exposure to the
elements; such exposure can cause mechanical failure and decrease the service
life of your eTrike.
b.
When storing your eTrike for an extended period, charge the baery at least once
per month. The recommended storage temperature is 60 degrees Fahrenheit
and at 40% baery capacity.
NOTE: Storing your baery in temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit or above 97
degrees Fahrenheit can limit your baery life.
c.
Charger Storage: When not in use, store the charger in a dry, cool and clean
place, taking care to insure the venlaon holes do not become clogged by dust
or other debris.

Your eTrike comes with a limited 12 month, non-transferable warranty from the date
you receive. If any component of the eTrike is defecve or prevents safe and eecve
operaon during the warranty period, please contact eTrikeCo immediately for service
before operang the vehicle. Service and repair during the warranty period must be
completed by eTrikeCo or an authorized party.

• Damage caused when the operator fails to use and maintain the eTrike in full
compliance with these instrucons.
• Improper use of the eTrike, including but, not limited to collisions with other objects,
overloading the eTrike, and chemical corrosions.
• Any and all damage caused by human factors.
• Damage as the result of unauthorized disassembly and/or modicaon of the eTrike
or unregulated use.
• Damage caused by improper storage or accident, including as the result of a power
surge while charging. Charger is not included in warranty.
