This manual will help you know your Aquaguard®Universa 80SC RO+UV Storage Cooler
Cum Water Purifier better. In case you need any information or help, please get in touch

Introducing the new Aquaguard®Universa 80SC RO+UV Storage Cooler Cum Water Purifier.
Advantage of the Aquaguard®Universa 80SC RO+UV Storage Cooler Cum Purifier:
Aquaguard®Universa 80SC is a 7 stage online Reverse Osmosis and Ultra Violet based
water purifier with Storage Tank. The Product has a Storage Capacity of 80 Ltr. And the
refrigeration system capacity of 60 Ltr. At 17°C ± 1°C water dispensing
It has 3 advanced operating modes - RO+UV / UV / Auto Mode.
In Auto Mode, It automatically switches between RO+UV or UV technologies, based on
output TDS.
The Aquaguard®Universa 80SC has Self-cleaning system that ensures superior and
effective membrane performance by auto-flushing in every four hour.
The Aquaguard®Universa 80SC Water Purifier makes the water both chemically and
micro-biologically potable by reducing hardness, TDS, heavy metals contaminants like
Arsenic, Lead & Mercury and by removing Pathogenic Micro-organisms. Consequently,
it revives the original taste of water. Its unique 7 stage purification process also
reduces pesticides in the water and reduces the scale formation, when water is heated.

Particulate Cartridge: Purification stage 1: Using polypropylene yarn candle to remove
physical impurities from the input water.
Pre Carbon Block Filter: Purification stage 2: Specially treated carbon block is used for
adsorbing colour, odour, organic impurities and chlorine. The special treatment given to
carbon provides higher surface area for adsorption and prevents microbial growth on
activated carbon block. Activated carbon block also removes chlorination by-products
from water.
Anti-Scalant Filter: Purification stage 3: This prevents the reverse osmosis membrane
from scaling deposits as the complex molecules will not get settled and gets flushed away
along with concentrate (reject) water flow. Thus it enhances the service life of membrane.
Sediment Filter: Purification stage 4: Sediment filter traps all the fine sediments present in
the input water.
Reverse Osmosis Membrane Filter: Purification stage 5: Reverse Osmosis Membrane
filter has a porosity of 0.0001 micron and strains the micro-organism, TDS (Total Dissolved
Solids) from the input water. This stage rejects around 90% of the input TDS and the
permeate water (purified good water) flows towards the next stage.
Post Carbon Cartridge: Purification stage 6: This process enhances the taste of the pure
water.
UV Filter: Purification stage 7: The UV filter fitted at the point of use ensures that the
water that you consume is safe and free from disease causing microbes.
Product Construction: The outer body and Storage Tank is made of Stainless Steel 304 grade.
The refrigeration system is mounted just below the storage tank and purification section is
mounted on the bottom compartment. Thus the electrical and electronic components of
the product are protected from water entry and related issues.
The refrigeration system and the components are accessed from front and rear side of the
product for any service related issues.

Aquaguard®Universa 80SC RO+UV Water Purifier is equipped with Thin Film Composite (TFC)
RO Membranes having 0.0001 microns pore size. The output water is better tasting, crystal
clear and free from micro-organism and with reduced TDS, which is safe to drink.

Harmful Effects Produced When Chemical

Installation Procedure of
Model : Aquaguard®Universa 80SC
The Universa 80SC is a standalone with floor installation, Discuss with the customer and
finalizes the place for install the unit. The preferable place is to position the product is
somewhere near to the drain point and closure to the electrical socket. Then follow the
below procedure for installation:
Diverter valve fixing:
1. Close the input source valve for the water pipe line where the purifier is planned to
be installed.
2. Remove the existing tap from location where the unit is planned to be installed.
3. Connect the Diverter valve to the point and fix the existing tap to the Diverter valve.
4. Check for water leakage from the joints.
Flushing the unit:
1. Make the product to standalone on the platform with the help of leg bush.
2. Connect the other end of the PL8 tube white (connected to the diverter valve) to the
inlet of the product & Remove the Flush port dummy plug from the bottom.
3. Connect the PL4 tube blue to the Flush port of the product and leave the other end
into drain.
CAUTION: Sediment Filter & Carbon Cartridge should be flush for minimum of 5 to 10
minutes before connection to the unit.
4. After flushing close the DV & remove the all the tubes form the inlet & flush port, the
replace the dummy plug in the flush port.
Ø Connect the PL8 white color tube to the quick connector which is fixed on the
diverter valve.
Ø Connect the other end of the PL8 tube to the inlet port of the purifier.
Ø Connect the blue colour tube to the drain port and place the other end of the tube in
to the drain point where draining facility is available. Ensure that the tube does not
come out from the drain point.

TERMS OF WARRANTY
Your Aquaguard®Universa 80SC Water Purifier is warranted against defects arising from
faulty design, workmanship and materials, for a period of 15 Months from date of invoice
or 12 Months from the date of installation (whichever is earlier), subject to the following
condition:
1. The customer will notify the Company promptly about any defects and give the
Company or it Authorised Distributor adequate opportunity to inspect, test and
remedy them, for which the customer will deposit the goods if necessary, with the
Company’s office/service centre along with the original invoice, in the city where
they are sold.
2. Inspection and Test Report of the Company’s office/service centre will be treated as
final and binding under the Warranty for determining defects, repairs/alterations
required or carried out, or certifying working of goods thereafter.
3. The Company or it Authorised Distributor will be entitled to retain any defective part
replaced under the warranty.
4. The Company’s liability under the Warranty will be limited only to defects which
occur under the conditions of normal operations and under proper use. It excludes
defects occurring because of abuse, faulty care or maintenance, repairs/alterations
to goods or partly by others.
5. Consumables such as Sediment Filter, Reverse Osmosis Membrane & Activated
Carbon which are subject to normal wear & tear in the course of use are not covered
by this Warranty.
6. The customer will have no claim under this Warranty in respect of any personal
injury, damage to property or consequential damages; for utilization of the goods
not in accordance with the user manual.

ØThe undernoted expression should have the following meaning.
ØThe ‘Goods’ shall mean the goods described in the Purchase Agreement.
ØThe ‘Customer’ shall mean the original purchaser under the Purchase Agreement.
ØThe ‘Company’ shall mean ‘Eureka Forbes Limited’.

The Company will repair or replace free of charge any part or parts of the Goods if it is fully satisfied, in its sole discretion, that the defects is / are due to faulty material or workmanship only, provided it is used in normal working condition and in accordance with the operating Manual. The warranty will be governed by the following clauses:
1. The Customer will notify the Company in writing promptly of any defects noticed and give the
Company or its authorized agent adequate opportunity to inspect test and remedy them for
which the Customer will deposit the Goods if so required by the Company with the Company’s office / service centre along with original Invoice in the city where they are sold.
2. Inspection, and Test Report of the Company’s office / service centre will be final and binding
under the Warranty for determining defects, repairs, alterations required or carried out or certifying working of Goods thereafter.
3. The Company or its authorized agent will be entitled to retain any defective part replaced under
the Warranty.
4. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in or implied by this Warranty. a) The Company’s liability under this Warranty shall be limited to the first sale of the Goods by the
Company to Customer and will not apply or extend to any secondary or subsequent sale of the Goods by the Customer.
b) The Company’s liability under this Warranty shall be limited only to defects in the Goods, which
occur under conditions of normal operation of the Goods, their proper and prescribed use. Consumables like brushes, gears, bearings, belts, fuel, batteries, detergents, filters, activated carbon, body parts and any components made of rubber, paper, cloth etc. will not be covered under the warranty. This Warranty does not cover or extend to defects which are determined by the Company or its authorized agents as abuse, misuse, faulty care, operation or maintenance or repairs, alterations to the Goods or any part thereof by others or the use of the Goods on electrical supply for which they are not designed or damage caused by lighting or other electrical disturbances or interruptions.
c) The Company’s liability under this Warranty shall remain valid only if the Goods are duly
installed by the Company or its authorized agent at the location specified in the Invoice or where the installation is at a place other than specified in the Invoice. Such installation is undertaken by the Company or its authorized agent or franchisee Shifting of the Goods to any other location will be Customer’s responsibility. Any damage caused during shifting will be repaired on chargeable basis.
d) The Customer will have no claim against the Company, its employees and its authorized
agents or franchisees, under or pursuant to this Warranty in respect of death or injury to the Customer or any other person or loss or damage to any property caused by or due to equipment failure, breakdown or accident, fire or operation or utilization of the Goods
otherwise than in accordance with User’s Manual or by or due to any other cause external or circumstances beyond the control of the Company.
e) The Company’s liability under this Warranty shall in no event and under no circumstances
exceed the price paid by the Customer to the Company / distributor for the Goods stated in the Invoice.
This Warranty shall not be valid in case of accidental damage, theft or loss of items, or natural
calamities.
5) The Company reserves its right to transfer or assign the obligation under this warranty to any of
its subsidiaries or associate companies or competent nominee.
General:
For the purpose of this warranty, the following expressions shall have the meaning respectively. 1 The Goods shall mean the goods described in the purchase agreement. 2. The Customer shall mean the original purchaser of the Goods from the Company or its
authorized agent who is party to the purchase agreement.
3. The Company shall mean ‘Eureka Forbes Limited’
4. The purchase agreement shall mean the general terms conditions of sale agreed upon by the
customer and the company as printed in the invoice.
5. The invoice shall mean the invoice issued by the company or its agent to the customer.
Post warranty:
The customer may be offered a yearly service contract with the company, renewable on expiry of th contract.
