These operating instructions are part of this product. They
contain important information on setting up and using the
product. Also consider this if you pass on the product

2. Explanation of symbols
This symbol is used to highlight important information in
these operating instructions. Always read this information
carefully.
This symbol indicates special information and advice on
how to use the product.
3. Intended use
The product is used to measure and display the indoor
temperature and humidity. Power is supplied via batteries (not
included).
The product is suitable as an additional sensor for the weather
station with the item number 1380336.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact
with moisture, e.g. in bathrooms, must be avoided under all
circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or
modify this product. Using the product for purposes other than
those described above may damage the product. Furthermore,
improper use may cause hazards such as short-circuits, re, etc.
Read the instructions carefully and store them in a safe place.

6. Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and
especially observe the safety information. If you
do not follow the safety instructions and
information on proper handling in this manual, we
assume no liability for any resulting personal
injury or damage to property. Such cases will
invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
a) General information
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical
facilities. Although the product only emits
relatively weak radio signals, these may lead to
the malfunction of life-support systems. The same
could also apply to other facilities.
• The manufacturer shall not be responsible
for inaccurate readings and any resulting
consequences.
• This product is designed for private use only; it is
not intended for medical purposes or for providing
information to the general public.
• This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of
children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around
carelessly. This may become dangerous playing
material for children.

• Protect the product from extreme temperatures,
direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture,
ammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical
stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product
safely, stop using it and prevent unauthorized use.
Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the
product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor
ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-
related stress.
• Always handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts
or a fall even from a low height may damage the
product.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use
or connect the product.
• Maintenance, modications and repairs must be
done by a technician or an authorized repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by
these operating instructions, contact our technical
support service or other technical personnel.

b) (Rechargeable) batteries
• Correct polarity must be observed while inserting
the (rechargeable) batteries.
• (Rechargeable) batteries should be removed
from the device if it is not used for a long period
of time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking
or damaged (rechargeable) batteries might cause
acid burns when in contact with skin, therefore
use suitable protective gloves to handle corrupted
(rechargeable) batteries.
• (Rechargeable) batteries must be kept out of reach
of children. Do not leave (rechargeable) batteries
lying around, as there is risk, that children or pets
swallow them.
• All (rechargeable) batteries should be replaced at
the same time. Mixing old and new (rechargeable)
batteries in the device can lead to (rechargeable)
battery leakage and device damage.
• (Rechargeable) batteries must not be dismantled,
short-circuited or thrown into re. Never recharge
non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of
explosion!

8. Inserting/changing the batteries
• Remove the battery compartment cover from the back.
• Insert 2 AAA batteries, observing correct polarity. Observe
polarity as indicated inside the battery compartment.
As soon as the batteries are inserted, all display segments
will appear briey. The icon for wireless transmission ashes
once per minute. Each time the icon ashes, the product is
transmitting data (to an optionally available weather station).
• Close the battery compartment.
Replace the batteries as soon as the battery symbol
appears on the display.

9. Start-up
a) Selecting the channel
If you wish to use the product as an additional sensor for
a weather station, all sensors must be set to a different
channel.
You must follow the operating instructions of the weather
station.
If you use the product as a stand-alone device, you need
not change the channel.
• Press and hold the CH/+ button for approx. 3 seconds until the
circular arrow appears above the channel number.
• Briey press the CH/+ button to set the desired channel (1 – 8).
• To exit selection mode, press and hold the CH/+ button for
approx. 3 seconds until the circular arrow goes out.
b) Display/delete the MIN/MAX values
• Briey press the MIN/MAX/- button. The maximum measured
values and the MAX indicator appear on the display.
• To reset the maximum measured values, press and hold the
button MIN/MAX/- for approx. 3 seconds.
• Briey press the MIN/MAX/- button. The minimum measured
values and the MIN indicator appear on the display.
• To reset the minimum measured values, press and hold the
button MIN/MAX/- for approx. 3 seconds.

• Briey press the MIN/MAX/- button to view the current
measured values.
c) Automatically delete the MIN/MAX values
• To automatically delete the registered minimum and maximum
values every day, press and hold the SET button for approx.
3 seconds until the 24hrs indicator appears.
If you enable this feature at noon, for example, the values will
be automatically deleted every day at noon.
• To disable this feature, press and hold the SET button again for
approx. 3 seconds until the indicator 24hrs goes out.
d) Changing the temperature unit
In normal display mode, press and hold the MIN/MAX/- button
for approx. 3 seconds to switch between temperature display in
°C or °F.
e) Display lighting
Each time a button is pressed, the display lighting is enabled for
approx. 5 seconds.

10. Comfort level indicator

11. Trend display
The arrows indicate changes of temperature and humidity.
• The arrow is pointing up.
- The temperature rises by at least 2 °C within 30 minutes.
- The humidity rises by at least 5 % within 30 minutes.
• The arrow is pointing down.
- The temperature sinks by at least 2 °C within 30 minutes.
- The humidity sinks by at least 5 % within 30 minutes.
• The arrow is pointing to the right.
- No change.

12. Calibration
Perform a calibration only if you have another reliable and
calibrated measuring device at hand.
Do not use measured data from the internet, radio,
television or newspaper, since they may not necessarily
match the current conditions for your location.
We recommend using a mercury or alcohol thermometer
as a reference.
Place the product and the reference thermometer in a
shady area at a sufcient distance to any heat sources.
Wait approximately 48 hours and then compare the
measured values before calibrating the product.
a) Air humidity
• Press and hold the SET and MIN/MAX/- buttons at the same
time for approx. 3 seconds until the humidity value ashes.
• Use the MIN/MAX/- and CH/+ buttons to change the value in
increments of 1 %. Press and hold the button to fast forward.
If you have changed the original measured value, the indicator
CALIBRATED appears next to the measured value.
• To return to the original, uncalibrated value, briey press the
SET button. The indicator CALIBRATED goes out.
• To exit calibration mode, press and hold the SET button for
approx. 3 seconds until the measured value stops blinking.

• If no button is pressed for 15 seconds, the product
automatically returns to normal display mode.
b) Temperature
• Press and hold the SET and CH/+ buttons at the same time for
approx. 3 seconds until the temperature value ashes.
• Use the MIN/MAX/- and CH/+ buttons to change the value in
increments of 0.1 degrees. Press and hold the button to fast
forward.
If you have changed the original measured value, the indicator
CALIBRATED appears next to the measured value.
• To return to the original, uncalibrated value, briey press the
SET button. The indicator CALIBRATED goes out.
• To exit calibration mode, press and hold the SET button for
approx. 3 seconds until the measured value stops blinking.
• If no button is pressed for 15 seconds, the product
automatically returns to normal display mode.

13. Positioning
• You can use a nail or screw to hang the product on the wall.
• You can also set up the product on a at, stable surface. To do
this, fold out the stand.

14. Care and cleaning
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other
chemical solutions, as these could damage the casing or
cause the product to malfunction.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.

16. Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be
disposed of in household waste. Always dispose of the
product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately
from the product.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
You are required by law (Battery Directive) to return all
used batteries. Batteries must not be placed in household
waste.
Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with this
symbol to indicate that disposal in household waste is forbidden. The
abbreviations for heavy metals in batteries are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg
= Mercury, Pb = Lead (indicated on the battery, e.g. below the trash
icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to local collection
points, our stores or battery retailers.
You thus full your statutory obligations and contribute to the
protection of the environment.
