heater is not in use and before cleaning, servicing, moving or storing it.
• Disconnect: To disconnect the heater, switch it off and remove the plug from
outlet. When disconnecting, grip the plug, do not pull on the cord.
• Safety switch: Unless your home is already fitted with a residual current device
(safety switch), we recommend installing an RCD with a rated residual operating
current not exceeding 30mA to provide additional safety protection when using
electrical appliances. See your electrician for professional advice.

damage. Unpack the appliance and keep the original packaging carton and
materials in a safe place. It will help prevent any damage if the product needs
to be transported in the future, and you can use it to store the appliance when
it is not in use. In the event that the packaging materials are to be disposed of,
please recycle them where possible.
Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young children, so
ensure all packaging materials are out of their reach and disposed of safely.
Cord: Unwind the cord to its full length and inspect the cord and the plug for
damage. Do not use the heater if the appliance or its cord has been damaged
or is not working properly. In case of damage, contact our after sales support
centre for advice on examination, repair or return of the damaged product.
Documentation: Make sure you have read and understood all instructions and
warnings in this manual. Refer to the Product Overview, page 6, to familiarise
yourself with the product and identify all parts. Pay particular attention to the safety
instructions on the previous pages.
Castor wheels: The heater is packaged with the feet (castor wheel assemblies)
unattached. You must attach them before turning on the heater.
Assembly
The heater must only be operated in an upright position with two castor wheel
assemblies fitted to the bottom of the appliance. Each castor wheel assembly
consists of a wheel plate and two castors.
Unpack all parts of the castor wheel assemblies.
Put a soft covering on a table or benchtop and carefully lay the heater on top with
the bottom end at the edge of the table.
Insert two castor wheels each through each wheel plate, affixing them with the
butterfly nuts.
Slide the wheel plates in the correct positions at the underside of the heater.
Secure the wheel plates by tightening the butterfly nuts.
Turn the heater in upright position after the castor wheels are properly fitted.
WARNING!
• Do not operate the heater without the castor wheel assemblies attached.
• Only operate the heater in an upright position (wheels on the bottom,

Operating Instructions
Location
The heater is for floor-standing use only. Place it in an upright position on
a firm, level, dry and heat-resistant floor surface, taking into considering all
relevant safety information on the previous pages.
Ensure that there is sufficient distance from the wall, fixtures, furniture and
other appliances. To exclude the risk of fire, ensure there are no flammable or
heat sensitive materials or substances within 1m of the heater.
Connection
Plug the heater into an appropriate electrical outlet and switch on power to the
outlet. Always use a separate socket that has no other appliances connected
at the same time – do not plug it into a power board or socket adaptor; do not
use an extension cord. Also ensure that the socket is easily accessible so that
the cord can readily be disconnected in an emergency.
To turn on the heater, select a power setting and set the thermostat to your
desired heat level/temperature.
Power settings
OFF......Power off
I ...........Low power (800W) Only the top quartz tube will be on.
II ..........Medium power (1600W) The top and bottom quartz tubes will
be working.
III..........High power (2400W) All three quartz tubes will be working
without the fan function.
.......High power (2400W) with fan All three quartz tubes will be
working together with the fan to help
distribute the warm air.
Thermostat control
The heater is equipped with a thermostat so you can maintain the room
temperature at the set level when running the heater on high power. It only
regulates the temperature on the settings III and .
With the thermostat set to the minimum position, the heater stops working
when the ambient temperature is around 15°C. When the ambient temperature
drops below 15°C, the appliance starts heating on settings III and until the
temperature rises above 15°C. To continue heating at this stage you will have
to adjust the thermostat control to a higher setting.

To heat up a room fast, we recommend you set the thermostat to the maximum
position, and when the room is comfortably warm, slowly turn the control
anticlockwise until the heater stops working. The heater will now cycle on and
off automatically as the temperature drops and rises.
Switching off
Select the OFF power setting and set the thermostat control to the minimum
position, then unplug the heater at the electrical outlet.
Let the heater cool down before restarting it, if required.
NOTE: The heater will take some time to cool after the power is shut off.
Always wait until it has cooled before moving the heater, and then use the built-
in handle for easy movement, if required.
Operating Instructions (Cont.)
FIRST USE
When switching the heater on for the first time, it may produce smoke
or odour when first heating up. This is due to the components being new
and can be disregarded safely. It is entirely harmless.
Ensure there is adequate ventilation.
Tip-over safety switch
The appliance is fitted with a tip-over safety switch which shuts off the
appliance automatically when it is tipped over. When returned to normal
upright position, heat will automatically come on again. This is a safety
feature to avoid the possibility of fire should the unit be accidentally tipped
over.
CAUTION!
Do not attempt to open the heater and repair it yourself. Any repairs must
be carried out by a qualified technician.
