Important Safety Instructions
Read this manual thoroughly before first use, even if you are familiar with
this type of product. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk
of fire, electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to. Make sure you
understand all instructions and warnings. Keep the manual in a safe place
for future reference, along with any warranty information, your purchase
receipt and the original carton. If you sell or transfer ownership of this
product, pass on these instructions to the new owner.
Always follow basic safety precautions and accident prevention
measures when using an electrical appliance, including the following:
Electrical Safety and Cord Handling
• Voltage: Before plugging in the heater, make sure your outlet voltage and
frequency correspond to the voltage stated on the appliance rating label.
• Electrical circuit: To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater
into a circuit that already has other appliances working.
• No adaptor, no extension cord: Do not use the heater with a power board or
double adaptor as this may overheat and create a fire risk. Do not use it with
an extension cord because the cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
• WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury:
• Never touch the heater with wet or damp hands or feet.
• Do not use the heater if any part of it has become wet. Immediately call
a qualified service technician to inspect the heater and replace any part
of the electrical system that has been wet.
• Never spill liquid into the heater; never immerse the cord, plug or any
part of the appliance in water or any other liquid. Do not reach for an
appliance that has fallen into water. Switch off and unplug immediately.
• Damage: Do not operate the heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the
heater malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged. If the supply cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised service
agent in order to avoid a hazard. Contact our after sales support line to
arrange an examination and/or repair.
• Plug: It is normal for the plug to feel warm to the touch; however, a loose
fit between the AC outlet and plug may cause overheating and distortion of
the plug. Contact a qualified electrician to replace a loose or worn outlet.
• Protect the power cord:
• Do not twist or kink the cord or let it touch heated surfaces.
• Do not put any stress on the cord where it connects to the product.
• Arrange the cord away from any traffic area so no one will trip over it.
• Do not run the cord under carpeting; do not cover it with rugs, runners etc.
• Only operate the heater with the power cord fully unwound. Using it with
the cord coiled up could cause overheating and present a hazard.

Important Safety Instructions (Cont.)
• After use: Always disconnect power when the heater is not in use and
before cleaning, servicing or moving the heater. To disconnect the heater,
switch it off and remove the plug from outlet. When disconnecting, grip the
plug, do not pull on the cord.
• Safety switch: Unless your home is already fitted with a residual current
device (safety switch), we recommend installing an RCD with a rated residual
operating current not exceeding 30mA to provide additional safety protection
when using electrical appliances. See your electrician for professional
advice.

free of dust and hair build-up, especially if you have indoor pets. Do not
block air intakes or exhaust openings in any manner.
• WARNING: No external timer! Never operate the heater on a program
switch, separate timer switch or any other appliance for automatic
operation, as there is a risk of fire if the heater is covered or positioned
incorrectly. In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the
thermal cut-out, do not connect it to a circuit that is regularly switched on
and off by the utility.

Getting Started (Cont.)
Castor Wheel Assembly
The heater comes packaged with the castor wheel assemblies detached.
Each castor wheel assembly consists of a moulded stand foot and two castor
wheels. Before you can use the heater you must attach the wheel assemblies
following the instructions below.
• Place a soft towel on a table or benchtop and carefully place the heater
upside down. Be gentle so you won’t damage the heater.
• Position each castor wheel assembly to the base of the heater at each
side, as pictured below.
• Attach the wheel assemblies with the screws provided, securing them
tightly to the base.
• When both castor wheel assemblies are securely fitted, turn the heater the
right way up.
WARNING!
• Do not operate the heater without the castor wheels attached.
• Only operate the heater in an upright position (castor wheels on the

Operating Instructions
Using the Heater
Before switching on the heater for the first time, check it again to be sure the
castor wheel assemblies are securely attached.
Location
• Place the heater in an upright position on a firm, level, dry and heat-resistant
floor surface, taking into considering all relevant safety information on the
previous pages. The appliance is for floor-standing use only.
• Ensure that there is sufficient distance from the wall, fixtures and other
appliances. The distance must be at least 1m to exclude the risk of fire.
Connection
• Make sure the POWER switch is in the OFF [ O ] position, then plug the
heater into an appropriate power point and switch on power to the outlet.
• Always use a separate socket that has no other high wattage appliances
connected at the same time – do not plug it into a power board or socket
adaptor; do not use an extension cord.
Switch on
• Once the plug is securely inserted, switch the heater on at the POWER
switch [ I / O ] at the back of the panel. The LED display will light briefly and
the Power On indicator will remain lit on the display.
• Press the ON/OFF button (on the control panel or remote control) to
switch on the heater. The LED display will show the room temperature and
both power level indicators will be lit in the right hand corner of the display.
Power level selection
• The heater can be run with full or half power, which can be selected with
the [ - ] and [ + ] buttons.
• Half Power: Only the small indicator is lit in the right hand corner of the LED.
• Full Power: Both indicators will be lit in the right hand corner of the LED.
When turning your heater on for the first time it is normal for the
heater to emit a ‘new heater’ smell, which will quickly pass.
This is no cause for concern. Ensure good ventilation.

Thermostat control
• To set the thermostat, press the TEMPERATURE button, then press the
[ - ] or [ + ] buttons to set the target temperature (within the 5°C to 36°C
range).
• On the LED display, the target temperature will start flashing for 5 seconds
before it will show the room temperature again.
• When the set temperature has been reached, the heater will cycle on and off
and maintain the set temperature.
Timer setting
• Press the TIMER button to set the off-timer. The timer indicator (clock
symbol) will illuminate.
• Use the [ - ] or [ + ] buttons to set the time, in ½-hour steps, after which
you want the heater to stop heating. The timer range is 0–18 hours. The
timer countdown will start after a few seconds.
Turning off
• Press the ON/OFF button to turn off the heater or cancel a setting.
• Press the POWER [ I / O ] button at the side to switch off the heater.
• When the heater is not going to be used for a while, unplug it from the
mains and wrap the cord around the cord storage area at the side.
Safety features
• The heater has a tip-over safety switch, which will turn off the heater if
it is knocked over or if it is not in the upright position. It will start working
again as soon as the unit is placed upright. But take extreme care when
standing the heater upright as it will still be hot. Inspect it for damage,
especially to the heating elements and supply cord. Do not operate the
heater if any damage is visible.
• The unit is equipped with an overheat protection mechanism which shuts
off the heater automatically in case of overheating. The most common
cause of overheating is deposits of dust or fluff in the appliance. Ensure
these deposits are removed regularly by unplugging the appliance and
vacuum cleaning air vents and grilles.
Should the overheat protection be triggered, switch off the heater at the
POWER switch [ I / O ], then unplug it and let it cool down for 30 minutes.
Remove any obstruction. Plug the heater in again and operate as normal,
making sure that there is sufficient room all around the heater, and nothing
is covering or obstructing the air outlet or intake.
