INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Please ensure that before installing the range hood, all power is switched off.
Installation must be in accordance to the local electrical authority and codes.
This range hood must be earthed at all times for the operators’ safety.
The switched power outlet for the range hood should be positioned to enable the user to turn the power off,
to enable cleaning and any maintenance required.
The switched power outlet should be installed within 600mm from the rear of the unit.
Ensure that when installing the range hood, that it is protected from any possible damage from tools etc.
Ducting for this unit must be installed in accordance to the local authority.
Ensure that the fixings used for this range hood are suitable.

The Everdure RBBQ120S range hoods are intended to be installed directly onto a wall.
INSTALLATION OF THE EVERDURE RBBQ120S RANGE HOODS DIRECTLY TO A WALL
NOTE: A single outlet model is used in these diagrams for reference only.
Ensure that the wall is structurally sound, and is capable of carrying the weight of the range hood.
The range hood can be placed at a minimum of 600mm away from an electric cooktop or 650mm minimum
from a gas cooktop. If installing above a gas barbecue, the appliance must be installed a minimum of
1200mm above the cooking surface in accordance with local
regulations and the applicable Standards. Refer to your barbecue
manual/data plate: If the manufacturer’s nominated clearance for
the barbecue is higher, follow the higher value. This appliance
should not be used in conjunction with solid fuel barbecues. The
unit is held to a wall via a mounting bracket (supplied with the unit)
and screws.
There are 3 sets of 2 holes needed to mount the appliance to the
wall. Measure up the required height of the range hood and then
add 30mm for the lowest set of holes (600mm apart). Measure up
90mm further for the centre set of holes (550mm apart). The top set
of holes (450mm apart) is determined by the final position of the
inner U-shaped cover.
Once all of the holes are marked, use a Ø8mm drill bit and drill
the six holes (as per the diagram to the right).
With all six holes drilled, fit a plastic insert into each hole,
making sure the inserts are reasonably tight and go all of the
way into the holes. Take the mounting bracket and attach it
to the wall with two 40mm screws. Take the 30mm screws
and screw them into the centre set of holes (leave a gap of
~5mm between the wall and the head of the screw. Check
that the screws are secure.

Remove all of the filters. Using two people lift the main unit up
and hook onto the exposed screws via the two key-shaped holes
in the back of the man unit. Check that the screws are
supporting the weight before releasing the unit.
From inside the appliance, tighten the two screws. Take the
remaining 30mm screws and push them through the holes in
the rear of the main unit into the lower set of holes. Tighten into
place. Check that the main unit is completely secure and
replace the filters.
Place the flexible tubing on each of the outlets and fix in
place using the straps included.
Fit the U-shaped sections together (the inner section should have
the mounting holes and vents at the top). Place the u-shaped
sections onto the main unit. Take hold of the flexible tubing and
lengthen it out. Fix it to the outlet venting so that it cannot come
loose. Pull the inner U shaped section up and fix to the mounting
bracket with the two 8mm screws.
NOTE: Care should be taken that the range hood is fitted correctly (see diagram below). Incorrect
installation can cause a build up of grease and oils and cause damage to the unit. The ventilation tubes
should be at angles greater than 120⁰or parallel, and connected to the wall or ceiling ventilation pipes.
NOTE: Remove all protective plastic coatings from the stainless steel surfaces before use.

CLEANING
SAFETY PRECAUTION
Before cleaning your range hood or performing any maintenance, please ensure that the range hood is
turned off at the power point.
Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean the range hood. The use of warm soapy water and a cloth are
recommended.
Ensure that the range hood is cleaned regularly, as a build up of grease and fat may occur otherwise.
The filters on the range hood must be cleaned regularly to maintain efficiency, and prevent grease build up.
It is recommended that this is undertaken every 4 – 6 weeks, depending on frequency of use.
The filters can be cleaned with warm soapy water or a cloth, or they may be washed in a dishwasher. If
washed in a dishwasher, discolouration may occur to the mesh and frame.
Cleaning of the range hood must be performed as described above, otherwise there is a possibility of a fire
hazard due to grease and fat build up.
The filters on the range hood must be cleaned regularly to maintain efficiency, and prevent grease build up.
The filter mesh is made of a high density Stainless Steel. It is recommended that this is undertaken every 4 –
6 weeks, depending on frequency of use.
The filters can be cleaned with warm soapy water or a cloth, or they may be washed in a dishwasher. If
washed in a dishwasher, discolouration may occur to the mesh and frame.
Remove filters by pulling the small tabs at one end of the filter down, which will release one end of the filter
from its mounting. Drop that end down slightly and slide the filter out of the appliance. To refit, slide the fixed
end of the filter back into the mounting, pull down on the tab and push the filter back into position.
During operation, oil tends to collect inside the motors as air passes through and out of the appliance. This
oil will pool at the bottom of the motor housing. The motor oil traps are positioned at the bottom of the
motor housing, under holes in the motor housings, where the pooled oil can drip out. Each motor oil trap
can be removed by pressing slightly upwards and then sliding sideways out of the brackets (only one
direction). Once emptied and cleaned they must be replaced. This should be done at the same time as, or
more frequently than the filters.
