1. Allgemeine Informationen
Das System besteht aus folgenden Komponenten (siehe S. 3):
• Filterkopf
• Wandhalter
• Filterkerze
Die Filterkerzen sind in 4 Grössen (S/M/L/XL) verfügbar.
Der entsprechende Filterkopf mit Wandhalter kann für jede Filterkerzengrösse verwendet werden.
2. Spezielle Hinweise
2.1 Personal
Die Installation und Instandhaltung der Filtersysteme darf nur von geschultem und autorisiertem Personal
durchgeführt werden.
2.2 Haftungsausschluss

2.3 SI - Hinweise
• Zur Speisung des Systems darf ausschliesslich Kaltwasser in Trinkwasser-Qualität verwendet werden.
• Die Lagerung aller Komponenten muss trocken und bei Temperaturen von -15° bis 45° erfolgen.
• Keinesfalls darf Wasser, das bereits mikrobiologisch belastet oder von unbekannter mikrobiologischer
Qualität ist, ohne ausreichende Desinfektion verwendet werden.
• Der Standort des Systems muss frostsicher und vor direkter Sonneneinstrahlung geschützt sein.
• Das System darf nicht mit Chemikalien, Lösungsmitteln und sonstigen Dämpfen in Berührung kommen.
• Vor Inbetriebnahme des Filtersystems muss der gespeiste Verbraucher kalkfrei sein.
• Die Filterkerze darf nicht geöffnet oder mechanisch beschädigt werden.
• Nach sehr langen Stillständen ist die Filterkerze zu tauschen.
• Nach Einsatz von 5 Jahren (spätestens 6 Jahre nach Produktionsdatum) muss der Filterkopf und der Wandhalter
getauscht werden (gilt auch für Schläuche und Dichtungen) - auf das Datum des Produktionsstempels achten.
• Nach längeren Betriebspausen und Wartungsarbeiten das System gründlich spülen – siehe Tabelle.

3. Verwendung
Die CLARIS-Filtersysteme sind für folgende Anwendungen entwickelt worden:
• Kaffee- und Espressomaschinen
• Getränkeautomaten
• Kombidämpfer und Self-Cooking Systeme
• Dampfgarer und Backöfen
Bei der Auslegung der Systeme wurde besonders auf eine gute Ergonomie für die Anwender geachtet und die
begrenzten Platzverhältnisse am Installationsort berücksichtigt.
Der Betrieb der Systeme ist horizontal und vertikal möglich, je nach den gegebenen Platzverhältnissen.
4. Funktion
Mit den CLARIS-Filtersystemen wird die Karbonathärte des Trinkwassers im Durchflussverfahren mittels
ionenselektiver Filtermedien reduziert.
Über die DuoBlend Verschnitteinheit im Filterkopf lässt sich die Härtereduzierung individuell an die örtliche
Trinkwasserqualität und den eingesetzten Verbraucher anpassen.
Zusätzlich bindet das Filtermaterial Schwermetallionen wie z.B. Blei, Kupfer und Kadmium.
Der integrierte Aktivkohleblock reduziert unerwünschte Trübungen, organische Verunreinigungen, Geruchs- und
Geschmacksstoffe sowie Chlorrückstände im Filtrat und im Verschnittwasser.

5. Installation / Einbau / Einstellung
5.1 Erstinstallation
Bestimmen Sie zuerst eine geeignete Stelle für die Installation des Filtersystems, beachten Sie dazu die Hinweise in
Kapitel 2. Bevor Sie mit der Installation beginnen, schliessen Sie die Wasserzufuhr und trennen Sie den Verbraucher
von der Spannungsquelle.
Kontrollieren Sie das Filtersystem und das Zubehör vor der Montage auf Beschädigungen - gilt besonders für die
O-Ringe und Dichtungen.
Bei Lagerung unter 0° C ist die Filterkerze vor Installation mindestens 24 Stunden bei Umgebungstemperatur am
Installationsort zu lagern.
HINWEIS: Die Schläuche für die Zu- und Ableitung sind nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten, können jedoch als
Zubehör erworben werden. Ebenfalls ist ein Testkit zur Ermittlung der Wasserhärte als Zubehör erhältlich.
Nähere Informationen finden Sie in Kapitel 9.
5.1.1 Montage von Filterkopf / Wandhalter / Filterkerze
Das System kann stehend, vertikal an die Wand montiert oder liegend betrieben werden.
1) Bei der Wandmontage verbinden Sie den Wandhalter mittels dazu geeigneter Schrauben
(Ø5mm – nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) sicher mit dem Untergrund der Wand.
2) Installieren Sie die Schläuche für Wasserzulauf und Wasserablauf am Filterkopf.
Dabei ist auf folgendes zu achten:
• Durchflussrichtung beachten – Markierungen am Filterkopf!
• max. Drehmoment 3Nm
• Es dürfen ausschliesslich Anschlüsse mit Flachdichtungen eingesetzt werden.
• Öffnen Sie das Spülventil (siehe S. 3, A 5) und führen Sie den Spülschlauch in einen geeigneten Behälter
(z.B. Eimer) oder in einen Ablauf.
• Öffnen Sie die Wasserzufuhr wieder.
3) Setzen Sie die Filterkerze in den Filterkopf ein und drehen Sie diese im Uhrzeigersinn bis zum Endanschlag.
Dadurch wird das System entlüftet und die Filterkerze durchspült (Kerzengrösse S/M > 5 l;
Kerzengrösse L/XL > 10 l). Die korrekte Endposition können Sie mittels der übereinstimmenden
Markierungen an Wandhalter und Filterkerze überprüfen (siehe S. 3, Position 8).
4) Schliessen Sie das Spülventil (siehe S. 3, A 4) - das System ist nun betriebsbereit.
5) Nach Installation des Systems und nach dem Einsetzen oder Austausch einer Filterkerze alle
Komponenten auf Dichtheit prüfen, es darf an keiner Stelle Wasser austreten.
5.1.2 Austausch einer Filterkerze
1) Die verbrauchte Kerze langsam gegen den Uhrzeigersinn herausdrehen, dadurch löst sie sich aus dem
Filterkopf und kann entnommen werden.
Während diesem Vorgang werden der Verbraucher und die Wasserzuleitung hydraulisch vom Filterkopf
getrennt und das System entspannt; dabei kann es vorkommen, das durch Druckspitzen eine minimale Menge
Entspannungswasser aus dem Spülschlauch austreten kann. Bitte beachten und einen entsprechenden
Behälter unterstellen.
2) Öffnen Sie das das Spülventil (siehe S. 3, A 5) und führen Sie den Spülschlauch in einen geeigneten Behälter
(z.B. Eimer) oder in einen Ablauf.
3) Die neue Filterkerze aus der Verpackung entnehmen und auf Beschädigungen kontrollieren.
4) Die Filterkerze in den Filterkopf einsetzen und mittels Drehbewegung im Uhrzeigersinn bis zur Endposition
(siehe S. 3, Position 8) eindrehen. Dabei wird der Durchfluss im Filterkopf wieder geöffnet und das
System wird über das Spülsystem entlüftet und eingespült (Kerzengrösse S/M > 5 l; Kerzengrösse L/XL > 10 l).
5) Schliessen Sie das Spülventil (siehe S. 3, A 4) - das System ist nun betriebsbereit.
6) Nach Austausch der Filterkerze alle Komponenten auf Dichtheit prüfen, es darf an keiner Stelle Wasser
austreten.
HINWEIS: Das Spülwasser ist zunächst milchig trübe. Das liegt an der dispergierten Luft u. klärt sich nach kurzer Zeit.
Überprüfen Sie die korrekte Position der Filterkerze im Filterkopf mittels der Markierungen an Wandhalter und Filter-
kerze (siehe S. 3, Position 8).
Achten Sie beim Einsetzen der Kerze auf die Position des Aufklebers. Dieser sollte nach vorne zeigen, damit alle
erforderlichen Informationen sichtbar sind.
5.1.3 Bestimmen der Karbonathärte
Zur Bestimmung der Karbonathärte im lokalen Leitungswasser verwenden Sie ein entsprechendes Testkit.
Falls kein Testkit zur Verfügung steht, fragen Sie bitte bei Ihrem Wasserversorger nach.
Um Schwankungen in der Rohwasserqualität oder Messfehler des Testkits auszugleichen, addieren Sie
sicherheitshalber 2° KH zum ermittelten Wert.
Dieser Wert ist zur Einstellung des Verschnittanteils laut Kapitel 5.1.4 heranzuziehen und zur Bestimmung der
Filterkapazität laut Kapitel 5.1.5 notwendig.

5.1.4 Einstellen des Verschnittanteils
Um den auf die Anwendung abgestimmten Verschnitt einzustellen, ziehen Sie die Verschnitteinstellkappe
(siehe S. 3, Position 4) nach oben und stellen die vorgegebene Verschnittstufe lt. Tabelle in Kapitel 6 ein. Danach
drücken Sie die Verschnitteinstellkappe wieder auf den Filterkopf, dadurch wird sie gegen unbeabsichtigtes
Verdrehen gesichert.
HINWEIS: Die Einstellung des Verschnitts darf nur mit eingesetzter Kerze erfolgen.
5.1.5 Bestimmen der Filterkapazität
Basierend auf der lokalen Karbonathärte des Leitungswassers und der jeweiligen Anwendung bestimmen Sie mit
Hilfe der Tabellen in Kapitel 6 die empfohlene Verschnitteinstellung und die daraus resultierende Kapazität der
Filterkerze.
Das Installationsdatum und den Austauschzeitpunkt tragen Sie bitte in die entsprechenden Felder am Aufkleber der
Filterkerze ein (mit Kugelschreiber beschreibbar).
5.2 Sicherheitstechnische Montagehinweise
• Bei einem Systemdruck grösser 8 bar muss ein Druckminderer dem Filtersystem vorgeschaltet werden.
• Vor dem Filtersystem muss ein Absperrventil installiert werden.
• Bei Speisung mit enthärtetem Wasser, Filter nur für Trinkwasser > 6° dH Gesamthärte einsetzen.
• Zwischen Filtersystem und Verbraucher dürfen keine Kupferrohre, verzinkte oder vernickelte Rohre oder
Verbindungsstücke eingebaut sein.
• Die Installation aller Komponenten ist entsprechend den länderspezifischen Richtlinien durchzuführen.
• Für die Montage und den Betrieb des Systems ist die DIN 1988 zu beachten.
• Es wird empfohlen, nur originale Zubehörschläuche zum CLARIS System zu verwenden, da diese ein längeres
Gewinde besitzen.
• Wird die Kerze aus dem Filterkopf entnommen ohne durch eine neue ersetzt zu werden, muss die Wasserzufuhr
zum Filterkopf abgesperrt werden.
• Wenn originale CLARIS-Anschlussschläuche verwendet werden, muss das mitgelieferte Sieb verbraucherseitig
oder wasseranschlussseitig eingebaut werden, um die gesamte Gewindelänge am Filterkopf ausnutzen zu
können.
• Es darf nichts an den Spülschlauch oder das Spülventil angeschlossen werden.
6. Einstellungen / Kapazitäten
Das einzigartige DUOBLEND Verschnittventil im Filterkopf des Systems ermöglicht eine hohe Verschnittgenauigkeit.
Dadurch kann die erforderliche Verschnittstufe für Heissgetränke-Maschinen mit Dampferzeugung (Kaffee-Espresso)
oder ohne Dampferzeugung (Vending) sowie Kombidämpfer, Self-Cooking Systeme, Dampfgarer und Backöfen mit
Boilersystem oder Direkteinspritzung individuell eingestellt und die Leistung der Filterkerzen optimal genutzt werden.
7. Service / Wartung
Nur bei regelmässigem Wechsel der Filterkerze ist ein sicheres Funktionieren des Systems möglich. Die
Wechselzyklen sind abhängig von der Karbonathärte des Trinkwassers, der Anwendung und der eingestellten
Verschnittstufe.
Empfohlen wird ein Wechsel der Filterkerze nach 6 Monaten, spätestens aber nach 12 Monaten.
Der Betreiber ist verpflichtet, täglich eine Prüfung des Systems auf Leckage vorzunehmen.
Bei einem Austausch der Filterkerze müssen alle Teile auf Verunreinigungen und Beschädigungen kontrolliert
werden. Beschädigte Teile müssen ausgetauscht und Verunreinigungen beseitigt werden.

1. General information
The filter system consists of the following parts (see page 3):
• Filter head
• Mounting bracket
• Filter cartridge
The filter cartridges are available in 4 sizes (S/M/L/XL).
The corresponding filter head and mounting bracket fits to all cartridge sizes.
2. Special instructions
2.1 Staff
The installation and maintenance of the filter systems may only be carried out by trained and authorised personnel.
2.2 Disclaimer

2.3 Safety Information
• Only cold water of potable water quality may be used to feed the system.
• All components must be stored dry within a temperature limit of -15° to 45° C (5 °F to 113 °F)
• Water of unsafe or unknown microbiological quality may not be used.
• The system must be sited in a frost-proof place and be protected from direct sunlight.
• The system must not come into contact with chemicals, solvents or other vapours.
• Before commissioning the filter system, the fed appliance must be free of lime.
• The filter cartridge must not be opened or damaged.
• The filter cartridge should be replaced if not used for very long periods.
• After 5 years of use (latest 6 years after production date) the filter head and wall mounting bracket must be
replaced (this also applies to hoses and gaskets) – please check the date on the production stamp.
• After a longer downtime or maintenance works rinse the system thoroughly – see table for flush volume.

3. Applications
The CLARIS filter systems are typically used to feed the following appliances:
• Coffee and espresso machines
• Drinks vending machines
• Combi Steamers and Self-Cooking Systems
• Steam Cookers and Ovens
The systems can be operated horizontally or vertically, depending on the space available.
4. Function
The CLARIS filter systems use ion-selective filter medium to reduce the carbonate hardness of potable water.
The DuoBlend bypass valve in the filter head can be used to precisely adjust the carbonate hardness of the filtered
water and to adapt it to the appliancation.
The filter material also reduces heavy metal ions like lead, copper and cadmium.
The integrated active carbon block reduces undesirable cloudiness, organic impurities, odour and taste and chlorine
residue from the filtrate and bypass water.

5. Installation and Bypass level adjustment
5.1 Initial installation
At first identify a suitable place to install the filter system. Note the information provided in chapter 2.
Before you start installing the system, shut off the water supply and disconnect the equipment from the power supply.
Before installation check the filter system and the accessories for any damage – particular attention must be paid
when inspecting the o-rings and gaskets.
After storage below 0° C (32 °F) the filter cartridge must be stored at the ambient temperature of the installation
location for at least 24 hours.
NOTE: The hoses for the supply and discharge line are not supplied as standard but can be ordered as accessories.
A test kit for determining the water hardness is also available as an accessory. You will find more details in section 9.
5.1.1 Installation of filter head / Mounting bracket / Filter cartridge
The system can be operated freestanding, lying horizontal or mounted vertically.
1) If mounting vertically to a wall, securely connect the mounting bracket to the wall using suitable Ø 5mm screws
(not included).
2) Install the hoses for the water inlet and outlet to the filter head and respect the following:
• Note the direction of flow – indicated by arrows on the filter head!
• Max. torque 3 Nm
• Only connections with flat gaskets may be used.
• Open the flush/pressure release valve (see page 3, A 5) and lead the flush hose into a suitable
container (e.g. bucket) or to the drain.
• Restore the water supply.
3) Insert the filter cartridge into the filter head and turn it clockwise until the end position is reached. This vents the
system and flushes the filter cartridge (filter size S/M > 5 l / 1.5 USgal; filter size L/XL > 10 l / 3.0 USgal). You can
check the correct end position using the matching marks on the mounting bracket and filter cartridge
(see page 3, position 8).
4) Close the flush/pressure release valve (see page 3, A 4) - the system is now ready for use.
5) After installing the system and inserting the filter cartridge, check all components for seal integrity,
water must not escape from any point.
5.1.2 Replacing a filter cartridge
1) Slowly unscrew the used cartridge by turning counter-clockwise. This will unlock it from the filter head and
enable it to be removed.
During this process, incoming tapwater supply and outgoing filtered water valves in the filter head shut-off
automaticaly.
The system will expand and a small amount of expansion water may escape from the flush hose due to peaks
in pressure.
Please keep this in mind and place a suitable container underneath the flush hose.
2) Open the flush/pressure release valve (see page 3, A 5) and lead the rinsing hose into a suitable
container (e.g. bucket) or to the drain.
3) Remove the new filter cartridge from its packaging and check for any damage.
4) Insert the filter cartridge into the filter head and turn the cartridge clockwise until its end position is reached
(see page 3, position 8). The flow in the filter head is reopened and the system vented and flushed via the
flush/pressure release valve (cartridge size S/M > 5 l / 1.5 USgal; cartridge size L/XL > 10 l / 3.0 USgal).
5) Close the flush/pressure release valve (see page 3, A 4) - the system is now ready for use.
6) After replacing the filter cartridge, check all components for seal integrity, water must not escape from any point.
NOTE: The flush water will be milky or cloudy at first. This is due to the dispersing air and will clear up
quickly. Now check that the cartridge position is correct by ensuring the marks on the wall mounting bracket and filter
cartridge are aligned (see page 3, position 8). When inserting the cartridge, check the position of the cartridge label.
This should face forwards once in the end position so that all of the necessary information is visible.
5.1.3 Determining the carbonate hardness
Use the corresponding test kit to determine the carbonate hardness in the water supply. A test kit for determining
water hardness is available as an accessory.
In order to compensate for fluctuations in the quality of feed water and measuring errors of the test kit we
recommend to add 2° KH / 2° Clarke / 30 PPM / 3° FH to the value determined.
Use this value to determine the recommended bypass level setting according to chapter 5.1.4 and for the
determination of the filter capacity according to chapter 5.1.5.
5.1.4 Bypass level adjustment
To adjust the bypass level for your application, lift up the bypass adjustment cap (see page 3, position 4) and set the
bypass level specified in the table in chapter 6. Then push down the bypass adjustment cap back onto the filter head
to lock the cap in position.
NOTE: Adjust the bypass level only with the cartridge assembled to the head.

5.1.5 Determining the filter capacity
Based on the carbonate hardness level of the water supply and your application, use the tables in chapter 6 to
identify the recommended bypass setting and the resultant filter cartridge capacity.
Please mark the installation and replacement dates in the corresponding boxes on the cartridge label.
5.2 Safety-related installation instructions
• Water pressure at the filter system inlet must not exceed 8 bar (116 psi). A pressure reducer must be installed on
the water supply side of the filter system if the inlet pressure exceeds 8 bar (116 psi).
• A shut-off valve must be installed upstream of the filter system.
• If a water softener is installed upstream, use filter only for tapwater > 6° dH / 10,7° FH / 107 PPM total hardness.
• All components must be installed according to country-specific guidelines. Check for compliance with state
and local laws and regulations.
• DIN 1988 should be noted for installing and operating the system.
• We recommend only using genuine accessory hoses for the CLARIS system because these have a longer thread.
• If the cartridge is removed from the filter head without being replaced by a new one, the water supply to the
filter head must be shut off.
• Wherever possible the protective strainer supplied with the CLARIS connecting hose should be positioned on
the appliance or water supply side to make optimal use of the connection thread lengths of the filter head.
• Do not connect any devices to the flush valve and/or flush hose.
• The surface of water contacting parts, such as pipes or boilers, will stay clean and blank with the usage of
softening fiters. Without a coating limestone deposit copper ions can migrate at a higher rate into the water,
dependant from feed water quality. To avoid an increased level of copper ions in the water we recommend no
usage of copper or other nickel- coated copper materials. Installations which consist mainly of copper or
nickel-coated copper surfaces should be operated with higher bypass settings, we recommend to use the vending
settings for coffee-espresso also.
6. Settings / Capacities
The unique DuoBlend bypass valve technology enables precise adjustment of carbonate hardness in the filtered
water. It is possible to adjust the bypass level to best suit the appliance type, i.e. hot drinks with steam (COFFEE-
ESPRESSO), without steam (VENDING), as well as for Combi Steamers, Self - Cooking Systems, Steam Cookers
and Ovens whether using direct injection or boiler systems, in order to maximise cartridge capacity taking into
consideration local water quality.
7. Service / Maintenance
Reliable system function can only be achieved if the filter cartridge is replaced on a regular basis.
The replacement cycle depends on the carbonate hardness of the water supply, the application and the
bypass level.
We would recommend replacing the filter cartridge after 6 months and no later than 12 months depending on usage.
The operator undertakes to check the system for leaks every day.
When the filter cartridge is replaced, all parts must be checked for impurities and damage. Damaged parts must be
replaced and impurities remedied.

2. Speciale instructies
2.1 Personeel
De plaatsing en het onderhoud van het filtersysteem mag enkel gebeuren door opgeleid en bevoegd personeel.
2.2 Belangrijk!

2.3 Veiligheidsinformatie
• Enkel koud, voor consumptie geschikt, water mag gebruikt worden voor de bevoorrading van het systeem.
• Alle onderdelen moeten opgeslagen worden in een droge omgeving met een temperatuurbegrenzing
van -15° tot 45° C.
• Voedingswater van onbekende microbiologische kwaliteit mag niet gebruikt worden zonder aangepaste
desinfectie behandeling.
• Het system moet opgesteld worden in een vorstvrije ruimte, beschermd tegen rechtstreeks zonlicht.
• Het system mag niet in contact komen met chemicaliën, oplosmiddelen en andere dampen.
• Voor de installatie van het filtersysteem moet de te beschermen apparatuur kalkvrij zijn.
• De filterkaars mag niet geopend of beschadigd worden.
• De filterkaars hoort vervangen te worden indien deze voor een langere tijd niet gebruikt werd.
• Een filterkop met 5 jaar dienst (ten laatste 6 jaar na productiedatum) dient vervangen te worden
Controleer de productiedatum.
• De filterkop dient intensief gespoeld te worden na een lange periode buiten gebruik en/of tijdens een
onderhoudsbeurt.

3. Gebruik
De CLARIS filtersystemen worden gebruikt voor volgende toepassingen:
• Koffie en Espresso machines
• Warme dranken automaten
• Combi Steamers en Automatische kooksystemen
• Stoomovens en ovens
Bij de opbouw van het design werd onder andere grondig nagedacht over de ergonomie voor de gebruikers en de
beperkte ruimte voor installaties.
De systemen kunnen zowel horizontaal als vertikaal opgesteld worden, afhankelijk van de beschikbare ruimte.
4. Werking
Het CLARIS filter systeem maakt gebruik van ion-selectief filter medium om de carbonaathardheid van het voor
consumptie geschikt water te verlagen. Het DuoBlend bypass ventiel in de filterkop laat toe om carbonaathardheid
individueel te regelen volgens de specifieke toepassing. Het filtermateriaal verwijdert eveneens zware metalen zoals
lood, koper en cadmium. De ingebouwde actieve koolstof, Carbon Block filter verwijdert ongewenste onzuiverheden,
organische stoffen, ongewenste geuren en smaken zoals chloor van zowel het behandelde als het bypass water.

5. Installatie / Instelling
5.1 Initiële installatie
Zoek eerst vlot bereikbare locatie voor de plaatsing en aansluiting van de filter (Zie info sectie 2).
Controleer eerst de filter en koppelstukken op eventuele beschadiging – controleer vooral ook de O-ringen en
sluitstukken.
Na een opslag bij een temperatuur < 0° Celcius moet de filter eerst voor 24uur op kamertemperatuur opgeslagen wor-
den alvorens deze geplaatst kan worden.
NOTA: De aansluitslangen worden niet standaard meegeleverd. Een testkit voor de bepaling van de carbonaathard-
heid kan optioneel besteld worden. Meer details in sectie 9.
5.1.1 Installatie van de filterkop / Wandhouder / Filterkaars
Het systeem kan horizontaal liggend geplaatst worden, aan de wand bevestigd worden of vrijstaand werken.
1) Bij een verticale, wandbevestiging worden schroeven van Ø 5mm gebruikt (niet bijgeleverd).
2) Sluit de aan- en afvoerslangen op de filterkop aan, hanteer hiervoor de volgende richtlijnen:
• Hou rekening met de doorstroom richting aanduiding op de filterkop!
• Max. aanschroefspanning 3 Nm
• Enkel 3/8” BSP schroefdraad aansluitingen mogen gebruikt worden.
• Open het spoel- / drukventiel (zie pagina 3, A 5) en breng de slang van het spoelwater in een aangepaste
opslagcontainer of afvoer.
• Open de watertoevoer.
3) Plaats de filterkaars in de filterkop en draai met de klok tot de eindpositie bereikt is. Je kan de correcte
positie controleren met de markering op de wandhouder (zie pagina 3, positie 8).
Zo zal filterpatroon ontlucht en gespoeld worden (filters type S/M > 5 l; filters type L/XL > 10 l).
4) Sluit het spoel- / drukventiel (zie pagina 3, A 4) – Het systeem is klaar voor gebruik.
5) Na de volledige installatie controleer je het filtersysteem op waterdichtheid. Er mag nergens waterlekkage
merkbaar zijn!
5.1.2 Vervangen van de filterkaars
1) Schroef langzaam, tegen de klok, de verzadigde filterkaars uit de filterkop. De filterkaars zal vrijkomen van de
filterkop. Tijdens dit proces wordt de wateraanvoer en waterafvoer automatisch afgesloten. Door een
drukopbouw kan een klein volume water vrijkomen via het overdrukventiel – slang voor het spoelwater.
Houd hiermee rekening en plaats de slang in een aangepaste opslagtank / afvoer.
2) Open het spoel- / drukventiel (zie pagina 3, A 5) en breng de slang van het spoelwater in een aangepaste
opslagcontainer of afvoer
3) Haal de nieuwe filterkaars uit de verpakking en controleer op eventuele schade.
4) Plaats de filterkaars in de filterkop en draai met de klok tot de eindpositie bereikt is. Je kan de correcte positie
controleren met de markering op de wandhouder. (zie pagina 3, positie 8) De filterpatroon komt automatisch
onder druk, ontluchting en spoelwater komen vrij via de slang (filters type S/M > 5 l; filters type L/XL > 10 l).
5) Sluit het spoel-/ drukventiel (zie pagina 3, A 4) – Het systeem is klaar voor gebruik
6) Na de volledige installatie controleer je het filtersysteem op waterdichtheid. Er mag nergens waterlekkage
merkbaar zijn!
NOTA: Het spoelwater zal in eerste instantie melkachtig – troebel zijn. Dat is het gevolg van de lucht vermenging in de
filterpatroon en zal vrij vlug verdwijnen.
Controleer de juiste positionering op basis van de aanduidingen op de wandhouder en filterpatroon
(zie pagina 3, positie 8).
Controleer de positie van het etiket tijdens de plaatsing van de filterkaars. Het etiket hoort finaal vooraan te zitten
zodat alle noodzakelijke informatie duidelijk zichtbaar is.
5.1.3 Bepalen van de carbonaathardheid
Gebruik de juiste test-kit voor de bepaling van de carbonaathardheid van het leidingwater. Indien je niet over
dergelijke kit beschikt, neem je best contact op met uw leverancier.
Ter compensatie van schommelingen in de watersamenstelling raden wij u aan het resultaat van de test te verhogen
met 2° KH / 2° Clarke / 30 PPM / 3° FH.
Gebruik deze waarde voor de instelling van de bypass volgens sectie 5.1.4 en bepaal de capaciteit volgens
sectie 5.1.5.
5.1.4 Bypass instellen
Voor de instelling van de bypass trek je de bypass schroefdop omhoog (zie pagina 3, positie 4), verdraai je deze tot
de gewenste positie volgens de bypass tabel sectie 6. Daarna druk je de bypass schroefdop terug naar beneden zo-
dat deze vast komt te zitten. Dit voorkomt ongewenste wijzigingen van de instelling.
NOTA: De bypass enkel bijregelen met de filterkaars in de kop!

5.1.5 Bepaling van de filtercapaciteit
Op basis van de carbonaathardheid van het leidingwater en de toepassing gebruik je de tabellen in sectie 6 ter
bepaling van de aangepaste bypass regeling en het resultaat in filtratie capaciteit.
Gelieve de installatie en uitwisselingsdatum in te vullen op de daarvoor voorziene plaats op de label.
5.2 Veiligheidsvoorschriften
• Bij een waterdruk van meer dan 8 bar hoort een drukregelaar geplaatst te worden voor het filtersysteem.
• Een afsluitkraan moet voorzien worden voor het filtersysteem.
• Als er al een algemene waterontharder op de leiding aangesloten is, gebruik de filter enkel bij een totale
hardheid > 6° dH / 11,7° FH / 107 ppm.
• Na het filtersysteem mogen geen koperleidingen, verzinkte buizen of gelijkaardige koppelstukken
gemonteerd worden.
• De plaatselijke installatievoorschriften, algemene en technische richtlijnen moeten gerespecteerd worden.
• DIN 1988 moet in achtgenomen worden vooraleer het filtersysteem aan te sluiten.
• Wij raden aan originele Everpure – Claris wisselstukken te gebruiken.
• Wanneer de filterkaars verwijderd wordt zonder dat een nieuwe opgesteld wordt, dient de watertoevoer
afgesloten te worden.
• Voor een optimale aansluiting, met gebruik van de volle lengte van de schroefdraad van de filterkop, raden
wij aan gebruik te maken van de aangepaste Claris aansluitslangen.
• Er mag geen vaste aansluiting verbonden worden aan het spoelventiel of aan de spoelslang.
6. Instelling / Prestaties
De unieke DuoBlend bypass ventiel technologie zorgt voor een regeling van de carbonaat hardheid met een grote
precisie. Hierdoor is het mogelijk om de bypass individueel te regelen volgens de specifieke toepassing voor warme
dranken toepassingen met stoom productie (KOFFIE–ESPRESSO) of zonder stoom productie (VENDING) evenals
voor de Combi Steamer, automatische kooksystemen, Stoomkokers en ovens volgens hun technologie met boiler of
directe injectie, zodat de maximale capaciteit van de filterkaars gebruikt wordt.
7. Service / Onderhoud
Het filtersysteem kan alleen maar werken als de filterkaars op regelmatige tijd vervangen wordt.
De uitwisselcyclus is variabel afhankelijk van de carbonaathardheid van het water, de toepassing en de instelling van
de bypass.
Wij raden aan om de filterkaars om de zes maanden te vervangen of maximaal jaarlijks.
De operator dient het systeem dagelijks te controleren op eventuele lekken.
Wanneer de filterkaars vervangen wordt, dienen alle onderdelen gecontroleerd te worden voor eventuele
onzuiverheden of beschadigingen. Beschadigde onderdelen moeten vervangen worden. Onzuiverheden moeten
verwijderd worden.

1. Informations générales
Le système comprend les composants suivants (cf. p. 3):

Les cartouches filtrantes sont disponibles en 4 tailles (S/M/L/XL).
La tête de filtre avec fixation peut être utilisée pour toutes les tailles de cartouche.
2. Remarques spéciales
2.1 Personnel
L’installation et la maintenance des systèmes de filtre ne doivent être confiées qu’à un personnel formé et habilité.
2.2 Limitation de la garantie
Les informations contenues sont estimées être justes au moment de cette publication mais ne constituent
pas une offre contractuelle. Sous réserve de modifications techniques. La société Everpure décline toute
responsabilité pour les dommages éventuels, dommages indirects inclus, susceptibles de survenir suite à
l’installation ou l’utilisation inappropriées des produits. La société Everpure n’est pas responsable des dommages
dûs à l’utilisation de composants d’autres constructeurs.
2.3 Consignes de sécurité
• Le système ne doit être alimenté que par de l’eau froide potable.
• Tous les composants doivent être stockés au sec et à une température entre -15° et 45°C.
• N’utilisez en aucun cas de l’eau déjà contaminée par des microorganismes ou de qualité microbiologiquement
inconue.
• Le système doit être utilisé dans une lieu protégé contre le gel et les rayons directs du soleil.
• Le système ne doit pas entrer en contact avec des produits chimiques, solvants ou autres vapeurs.
• Avant la mise en service du système, l’équipement relié au système ne doit pas contenir de tartre
• La cartouche filtrante ne doit être ni ouverte, ni endommagée mécaniquement.
• La cartouche filtrante doit être remplacée si elle n’a pas été utilisée pendant une longue période.
• La tête de filtre et la fixation doivent être remplacées au bout de 5 ans (au plus tard 6 ans
après la date de production) (ceci s’applique également aux tuyaux et aux joints) - Vérifiez la date de production.
• Après des pauses prolongées ou des travaux d’entretien, rincer abondamment le système - cf. tableau.

3. Utilisation
Les systèmes de filtre CLARIS ont été mis au point pour les applications suivantes:
• Machines à café et espresso
• Distributeurs automatiques de boissons
• Appareils Combi vapeur et autocuiseur
• Appareils et Fours à cuisson vapeur
Les systèmes ont été élaborés pour pouvoir être utilisés verticalement ou horizontalement en fonction de l’espace
disponible.
4. Fonctionnement
Les systèmes de filtre CLARIS permettent de réduire la dureté carbonate de l’eau potable en mode débitmétrique au
moyen de supports filtrants ionosensibles.
La vanne de byspass DuoBlend dans la tête de filtre permet d’ajuster de manière précise la dureté carbonate de
l’eau filtrée et de s’adapter à l’équipement.
Le matériau filtrant permet d’éliminer les métaux lourds tels que le plomb, le cuivre et le cadmium.
Le bloc de charbon actif intégré réduit la turbidité, les impuretés organiques, les odeurs et goûts indésirables ainsi
que les résidus de chlore dans l’eau filtrée et du bypass.
