WARNING: PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING
SAFETY INFORMATION FIRST.
DANGER: To avoid a possible electric shock, ensure all electrical devices are switched
off when carrying out maintenance. Take extra care when handling a wet aquarium.
Do not attempt repairs yourself; return the appliance to the place of purchase for
service or dispose of the appliance.
• To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or socket
getting wet, position the aquarium cabinet and tank to
one side of a wall mounted socket to prevent water from
dripping onto the socket or plug. You should create a “drip
loop” for each cord connecting an aquarium appliance to
a socket. The “drip loop” is that part of the cord below
the level of the socket, or the connector. Use an extension
cord, if necessary, to prevent water travelling along the
cord and coming into contact with the socket.
• Always unplug an appliance from an outlet when not in
use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. Never pull the cord itself to remove
the plug from the outlet. Hold the plug and pull to disconnect.
• If the plug or socket does get wet, DO NOT unplug the cord. Disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker
that supplies power to the appliance. Then unplug the device and examine for presence of water in
the socket.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Do not use an appliance for anything other than its intended use. The use of attachments not
recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.
• Do not install or store the appliance where it will be exposed to the weather or to temperatures below
freezing point.
• Make sure an appliance mounted on a tank is securely installed before operating it.
Read carefully all the important notices on the appliance and the corresponding instruction manual.
NOTE: A cord rated for less amperes or watts than the appliance rating may overheat. Care should be
taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be tripped over or pulled accidentally.
WARNING: Do not use the holes in thie rear of the glass to lift, move or hold the aquarium at any time.

Congratulations on purchasing an Evolution Aqua aquarium.
eaFreshwater combines modern contemporary design with
practical features. Every eaFreshwater includes a pre-built,
silicone sealed cabinet, with both soft-close and push-open,
handle-less doors. The doors include quick release, triple
adjustable hinges for perfect alignment. The aquarium sits
on a pre-fitted, protective foam base mat, so no additional
polystyrene is necessary.
Every eaFreshwater aquarium includes two LED lights.
An additional two lamps can be added (available to
purchase separately) if required for even brighter light,
and other spectrums are also available.
Other equipment is deliberately left out of eaFreshwater
sets. This is so the user can choose their own equipment,
(like a filter and heater) to best suit their requirements
and budget.
Please read this manual carefully before setting up your
eaFreshwater aquarium.

HOW THE AQUARIUM WORKS
eaFreshwater comes complete with a fully removable lid and lighting. Lid flaps and
lights can be positioned as shown for ease of maintenance.
CAUTION: The LED lamps are made from glass. Please handle with caution
as these are delicate, and can be broken from small impacts.
CUT OUTS
Every eaFreshwater includes oval shaped holes in the back of the tank. These enable
plugs and power cables for lighting, heater(s) airline, and internal filters.
The cut outs are also designed for external filter inlet and outlet pipes to fit through,
enabling a neat finish on top of the tank.
Ensure when cleaning the aquarium that water does not splash through the oval cut-
outs in the rear of the tank. If any water leaves through the cut-outs wipe tank rear
and dry cabinet immediately.
WARNING
Do not use the holes in this glass to lift,
move or hold the aquarium at any time!

First position the eaFreshwater cabinet.
PLEASE NOTE: Your finished aquarium should be away from doors, and radiators,
out of direct sunlight and near to, but not directly over, power sockets.
POSITIONING THE CABINET
One litre of water weighs one kilogram (1kg) so your finished aquarium with sump will
weigh at least as much in kilograms as its total volume in litres.
The cabinet must be placed on a strong, level concrete floor, and must be perfectly
level and positioned before being filled with water. An uneven floor will cause stress to
the cabinet and aquarium.
ADJUSTING THE CABINET DOORS
NOTE – Only adjust doors at the end of the installation and when the tank is filled
with water.
There are three points of adjustment on
each hinge.
1. Height.
The cabinet doors can be height adjusted
marginally with the screws as shown.
Loosen the screws on both hinges and the
door will drop down. Lift door and tighten
screws and the door will raise, and stay in
position.
2. Front to back.
The door can be brought forward by
loosening the screw as shown. Pull door
out or push in and tighten screw to hold
position.
3. Left to right.
Adjustment of the screw as shown will
enable left and right alignment of the door,
and adjustment of both hinges on the door
this way can square up, and will affect the
gap between each door when closed.
Quick release
eaFreshwater hinges are quick release.
Push the button at the back of the hinge to
release the door, without having to undo the
screws.

HOW TO GET THE BEST FROM YOUR EAFRESHWATER AQUARIUM
1. Keep it clean
Algae is one of the biggest detractors in the hobby, so wipe the inside glass regularly
with a purpose-built algae wiper. Don’t use sharp metal blades as they may cause
irreparable scratches on the glass.
2. Keep it dry
Remove any spills immediately with a towel, paper towels, or a cloth. Don’t allow
water to accumulate inside the cabinet, on a wet carpet that the cabinet is positioned
on, or around the hinges.
3. Level the doors
Once the tank is in final position and filled with water, level the doors using the steps
on page 11, to achieve the perfect finish.
4. Ask advice
Your retailer will provide you with expert advice on which fish species will suit your
aquarium, how many to add, and when.
5. Manage your water
A combination of the right filtration, PURE Aquarium, the right stocking and the right
feeding will provide the right environment for your fish. Mature your filtration and
change water at regular intervals using dechlorinated water. If soft water, or nitrate or
phosphate free water is required, ask instore about Reverse Osmosis water.
6. Use Evolution Aqua PURE Aquarium
Included with your eaFreshwater aquarium, is a 25 ball tub of PURE Aquarium.
PURE AQUARIUM is a bacterial treatment that helps to maintain crystal clear, healthy
water in freshwater aquariums. Inside every ball there are millions of live bacteria and
enzymes. Once added to your aquarium filter, the bacteria and enzymes inside each
ball will start to break down ammonia and nitrite, while cleaning up organic waste,
reducing filter maintenance. PURE AQUARIUM is safe for all freshwater fish and
invertebrates.
Add the balls into your filter when you first set up the aquarium. We always
recommend the addition of oxygen into your tank using an air pump or venturi.
PURE AQUARIUM will not prevent algae growth. Use as directed below:
