Features
The infrared sensor has four types detection and two types connection.
1.1 Detection Type:
Type A: Detect the movement of patient on the bed, such as get up.
Type B: Detect the patient leave from the bed, such as fall over to ground.
Type C: Detect the patient who non-return to the bed within set time.
Type D: Detect the patient who leaves the safe area, such as leave the patient room.
1.2 Connection Type:
1.2.1 Wireless System:
That is NC-9000 wireless nurse call system. The infrared sensor generates a pulse
alarm signal will be send to receiver via wireless system.
1.2.2 Wire System:
The nurse call connector jack also can transfer a pulse alarm signal, when alarm is
activated. The function is also suitable all types.
If need, please connect between nurse call connective jack and current nurse call
system with connective cable (MS-03).
※Note1: Wire system type is an extra function. When wireless system had been
set-up, the cable system isn't necessarily needed.

4
Type A:
This type requires human sensor and three distance sensors for detection.
When human sensor and one of them distance sensor detected any person move in
detective zone, it will be activated.
Installation:
2.1.1 Register with receiver.
(Refer to the section for Receiver or Portable Receiver.)
2.1.2 Adjust the mode switch to position “0” or “1”, which two options are
depending on desire detection time. (Refer to Mode Data table)
2.1.3 Select the sensing distance by distance switch.
2.1.4 Fix the infrared sensor to suitable position.
Please note the best detection distance is between 20cm to 130cm.
Recommend the high should be higher, then the bed headboard at least 10cm, and
the sensors can sense the patient when his/her sits up on the bed.

Usage
2.2.1 Connect the power via suitable adaptor.
2.2.2 The PW lamp will light up and the sensor lamp will flash once from HS lamp
to LS lamp one by one. That mean is the sensor had readied.
2.2.3 When someone approaches the bed, the HS lamp will flash, but the sensor
still won’t be activated.
2.2.4 When the patient got up or anyone approaches the detective range, the LS /
CS / RS lamp(s) and HS lamp will light up, then the alarm will be activated.
2.2.5 The AL lamp will flash, and a pulse alarm signal will transmit to receiver.
Pause Function
When the nurse helps the patient to take medication or other needs, the alarm
sensor need to pause.
2.3.1 When press pause button, the main unit will be suspended the detect
function. All sensor lamps (HS, RS, CS, LS) will light up.
2.3.2 After 30 seconds, HS lamp will off;
2.3.3 After 60 seconds, RS lamp will off;
2.3.4 After 90 seconds, CS lamp will off;
2.3.5 After 120 seconds, all sensor lamps will flash.
2.3.6 After 150 seconds, all sensor lamps will off. And all sensors will resume
detection automatically.
2.3.7 If press pause button during suspend time, all sensor lamps will off and all
sensors will resume detection.
Type B & Type C:
The base function of type B and type C that is same. They just different in detection
time only. The detection time unit of type B is second; the detection time unit of type
C is minute. That is for different application.
These types require three distance sensors for detection.
Although the detective distance can adjust to 1.0m & 1.3m, it is recommended to use
0.6m for type B & type C.
When the patient is lying in bed, the distance sensor will monitor the head of patient.
If the head leave the monitor zone, the alarm signal will be activated.

6
Installation
3.1.1 Register with receiver.
(Refer to the section for Receiver or Portable Receiver.)
3.1.2.1 Type B: Adjust the mode switch to position “4”, “5” or “6”, that three options
are depending on desire detection time. (Refer to Mode Data table)

are depending on desire detection time. (Refer to Mode Data table)
3.1.3 Setting the distance switch to 0.6m.
3.1.4 Connect the power via suitable adaptor.
3.1.5 The PW lamp will light up and the sensor lamp will flash once from HS lamp
to LS lamp one by one. That mean is the sensor had readied.
3.1.6 Then, HS lamp will flash※and AL lamp bright.
3.1.7 Put the sensor main unit approaches to head of patient, then the distance
sensor lamp will light up. The distance between head and sensor main unit
need within 60cm. But the pillow must be over 60cm from main unit. When
the head is lying on pillow, three sensor lamps (RS / CS / LS) must be bright.
When remove the head from the pillow, the three sensor lamps must be off.
※Note2: In these types, HS lamp does not represent the HS sensor. HS lamp flashing
indicates that it is setting mode at the time.
