Introduction
Congratulations, and thank you, for your purchase of our Audio+Bar
outdoor stereo speakers and drink bar! We are confident you will agree
our products add a touch of indoor elegance and styling to your outdoor
living space that you will appreciate for many years to come.
Your new Audio+Bar includes many innovative features, such as:
• integrated 12 gallon insulated cooler w/ LED light;
• dual function cooler access door - slide to open & fully removable
• integrated low voltage 20W/ch stereo amplifier;
• universal hardware connectivity via a 3.5mm stereo input jack and
USB charging port;
• remote/extended run power via 12vac outdoor transformer;
• custom low voltage/high current audiophile dc power supply;
• high and low temperature sensing for ventilation and heat.
Please read this manual thoroughly before attempting assembly and
installation. Inspection
Inspect all boxes and contents for any signs of hidden or concealed
damage. If any damage is discovered, contact us immediately, if
possible, and within no more than five business days after receipt.
Install Location and Cautions
Exteris’ Audio+Bars use only low 12vac/dc voltages, and are safe to
place in any outdoor environment, including wet locations. Although, our
bars are designed and tested to withstand the rigers of open air
installation, an install location with some shielding from sun, and direct
moisture exposure, is the ideal location from the standpoint of minimizing
maintenance and extending the “like new” appearance.
A special note about sun exposure and heat: Placing this system in
direct sunlight will potentially generate enough heat to activate the high
temperature shut-down safety circuit, which deactivates power to the
stereo amp while keeping the forced air ventilation fan running. The
system will reset once temperatures return to a safe level. An install
location with some shielding from direct sun, especially in the summer, or
system operation when ambient temperatures are lower will help
minimize the occurrence of system shut-downs.

4. With the sliding cooler door removed, carefully remove all parts
needed to complete system assembly.
Assembly
1. Locate four 1/4”-20 x 1” stainless cap screws. These screws are
used to secure the elevated bar top in its extended position. Two
screws will be installed initially to secure the bar top until it is raised
into the upright position. Refer to Fig.3 to locate one screw
hole/threaded insert on each side of the bar top. Thread screw into
hole just enough to hold the bar top in position, but do not completely
tighten until later.
2. Locate four cabinet legs and remove protective wrapping. Locate four
1/4”-20 x 3” hex bolts w/ washers, which will be used to bolt the legs
securely to the bottom of the cabinet; a 7/16” wrench/socket will be
needed.
3. Refer to Fig. 4 for installation of four cabinet legs. Locate one leg that
has two power cable strain relief clips pre-installed and is marked with
the letter ‘A’. Insert one bolt with washer into this leg base as shown
in Step 1 and install in the bottom-right position next to the 12vac
power input connectors. Align the bolt to the bolt hole and thread the
bolt into the threaded hole (Step 2). Once bolt is slightly threaded,
then align the snap-in ball/socket connectors and push firmly to snap
the ball into the socket. Using a 7/16” wrench/socket, tighten each
bolt firmly (Step 3). Repeat process for remaining three legs,
matching the corresponding letter on each leg to the letter below, until
all legs attached securely as shown in Step 6.
4. Locate four adjustable 1/4”-20 cabinet feet. Thread one foot/glide
into one threaded insert located on the bottom of each leg. These
feet will allow the cabinet to be adjusted to stabilize the cabinet once
it’s moved to its final install location.

Power Connections
1. As noted earlier, stereo/LED light power is accomplished via a 12vac-
60W UL Approved outdoor/landscape transformer and is an included
item, along with the power cable. 12vac connections to the bottom of
the cabinet are made using solder-less banana plugs supplied with
your new system.
NOTE!
If supplied power cable is too short for your specific installation, you
may add your own cable per the table below. In order to maintain the
highest audio fidelity possible, the following 12vac cable lengths
versus wire gauges versus planned stereo volume levels are
recommended:
0-70% of Max Level 100% of Max Level
• 50 feet / 16 ga. • 25 feet / 16 ga.
• 100 feet / 14 ga. • 50 feet / 14 ga.
• 150 feet / 12 ga. • 75 feet / 12 ga.
2. Prior to installing the the solder-less connectors, the power cable
must be routed up the right-bottom cabinet leg and through the two
cable strain relief clips as show in Fig. 5.
3. Once power cable is routed, simply strip each low voltage cable lead
back about 1/2”, unscrew the yellow banana plug top and feed the
wire through the top, into the hole/slot in the plug and screw the
yellow top back on the banana plug as shown in Fig. 6. Since ac
voltage is used, you may insert either banana plug into either banana
connector/jack.

4. Locate the supplied 12vdc UL® Approved Outdoor Power
Transformer and connect the opposite end of the 2-conductor power
cable per the instructions included with the transformer. Note! You
may want to postpone this step until you have moved the cabinet to is
final position.
5. With the help of another person, carefully lift the cabinet, rotate 90
degrees forward, and lower the cabinet onto its legs.
6. Now is the time to install the two remaining elevated bar top 1/4”-20 x
1” cap screws. and fully tighten the two previously installed screws.
Referring to Fig. 7, thread one screw into each hole and then tighten
all four screws until equally snug. Note! Do Not over-tighten.
7. CONGRATULATIONS! Assembly is now complete and your new
Audio+Bar™ is ready to be moved to its final position.

Installation
1. Move your new Audio+Bar™ to a location that provides easy access
to an outdoor 110vac outlet. This outlet will be used to connect the
12vac UL® Approved outdoor transformer.
2. If not already installed, you may reinstall the dual-function cooler door
at this time.
3. You may also want to raise the fold-down cabinet top extensions. To
do so, please refer to Fig. 8. First, lift one table extension up and into
a roughly horizontal position. Second, rotate one of two table
supports out from the storage position and use your hand to extend
the 3” leveler screw by twisting the screw upward until it makes
contact and slips into the screw head recess on the underside of the
table top. Repeat this process for the second and final table top
support. Adjust each leveler screw until the table top is level and
solid.
NOTE!
The table extensions are not design to support heavy loads and,
therefore, weight should be limited on these tops to approximately 10
lbs. each.

5. Locate four decorative covers, two for each table extension, that may
be used to hide each of the two leveler screws from view as shown in
Fig. 9. One cover installs on top of each table extension support.
The mounting pin slips into a mounting hole on top of the table
extension support, while the slot on the back side of the cover slips
over the leveler screw. Installation of these decorative covers is
optional and not required.
Use
1. Once power is connected, simply use the weatherproof toggle switch
located on the right side of the elevated bar top to turn on LED
lighting and USB/Stereo power. The USB connector is located just
above the power switch and also includes a weather proof cover,
which must be opened prior to use; gently pull the cover forward and
lift up to exposed the connector. This USB connector only supplies
5vdc power; no audio/data signals are present.
2. Your new Audio+Bar™ provides Universal Hardware Connectivity via
the 3.5mm Stereo-In jack and USB 5vdc power/charging connector.
Both of the connectors provide industry standard connections for a

Maintenance
Your new system is made of very rugged materials and components to
ensure years of trouble-free performance. However, in order to extend
the “like-new” appearance and life well beyond the warranty period,
proper maintenance procedures are necessary and summarized as
follows:
Cedar Cedar is naturally weather and rot resistance, but it is
important that a high quality sealer be used periodically.
We use, and recommend, an exterior solvent based
sealer to keep the wood finish looking its best. If our
systems are exposed directly to rain, snow and ice, then
treating the cabinets more frequently may be required.
Indirect water exposure, will reduce the application
frequency of fresh sealer. To remove dirt build-up, simply
wipe cabinet with soft damp cloth.
Grill Dirt build-up on the speaker grill should be removed as
needed by removing and cleaning the grill in a solution of
mild liquid detergent and water using a soft brush, being
careful not to apply too much pressure.
Painted Dirt build-up on the faux stucco finish should be removed
as needed by using a vacuum (preferred) or by cleaning
with a solution of mild liquid detergent and water using a
soft brush, being careful not to apply too much pressure
and keeping excess water out of speakers, followed by a
light rinse with clean water.
Woofers – To maximize woofer driver life, gently wiping dirt from the
rubber surround with a soft damp cloth and applying a coat
of Armor All® protectant will help prevent rot and extend
life. It’s recommended that cleaning and treatment take
place each time the speaker grill is removed for cleaning.
Tweeters – DO NOT attempt to clean.
NOTE! Water should never be streamed directly into speaker
drivers for the purpose of cleaning.
Air Filter - Fan intake filter should be cleaned as needed with a
vacuum or by gently washing.
High and Low Temperature Protection
Your new speaker/stereo system incorporates on-board temperature
sensing to monitor internal cabinet temperatures to help manage and
minimize excessive heat and cold.
High temperature protection is accomplished by using a cooling fan to
provide a constant supply of filtered forced air ventilation. Internal
temperatures are continually monitored during system usage and will
automatically switch fan speed from low to high when needed. In the
event the internal cabinet temperature reaches an unsafe level, power to
the stereo electronics will be automatically disconnected, while the
cooling fan continues to run until the temperature drops. Once cooling
fan turns-off, the stereo system can be manually powered on again.
If your speaker/stereo system remains outdoors during the winter
months, you can activate its low temperature protection circuit by
following these steps:
1. Program your 12vac outdoor transformer to turn on when freezing
temperatures are expected, i.e. at night, or 24 hrs/day if needed.
If your transformer doesn’t have a timer, then manually turn it
on/off;
2. Low temperature protection is now active and will turn-on/off an
internal heating circuit automatically.
