the footrests. By moving the all your weight onto the chairs front frame, you may cause
the device to tip over. It may result in property damage or personal injury. If you want to

Mainframe
Put the main frame upside down on the floor. You will see four holes at the ends of vertical
frame tubes.
Wheels
Insert the wheels assembly tube into each end of the frame.
There are 2 holes (A & B) drilled in both the frame and in each wheel
assembly tube (as shown in the picture).
Adjust the wheels vertical tube to the position, where one of its holes
would match one of the holes in the frame. Thanks to this solution it is
possible to set the seat height of the chair in 3 different heights.
When the required position is reached, insert the fixing bolt through all
the holes and tie it with the nut from the opposite side of the tube.
Always adjust all 4 wheels to the same height.
Check if all wheels are locked correctly by pulling them upwards. They
should not be able to slide out or shake.
Brakes
Now turn the main frame around to the correct position so it is now on its wheels.
Before further assembly lock all wheel brakes in order for the device not to move.
To engage the brakes step down with your toes on the pedals attached to the rear part of each
wheel until they are locked (B). To disengage the brakes pull up the pedals with your toes
until they unlock (A).
Never leave the chair without engaging the brakes, when someone is sitting in it.
Always engage the brakes when entering or leaving the chair.
Always engage the brakes when you do not plan to move the chair.
Backrest
Now slide the back frame tubes ending in to the 2 assembly holes located in the rear top part
of the main frame
Tighten the bolts on both sides of the frame, so the back is stable and rigid.
Headrest
Put the vertical bar of the headrest into the clamp located at the top middle of the back.
Tighten the bolt located at the clamp when headrest is adjusted to the required height so the
vertical bar will not move up or down.

Rev. 02-20 Page 5/9 Alu Shower chair with tilt 2024 –User manual
Toilet bucket
Put the lid on the bucket (see the first picture)
Slide it in to the rails located under the seat. You should do it from the back pushing towards
the front of the chair (see the second picture)
When the bucket is in its place cover the middle hole of the seat with the PU cover (see the
last picture)
Footrests
Now you can attach the footrests.
Put the footrests top end into the hole located at the top front end of the main frame. The
footrest should be directed outwards at that point.
Now turn the footrest in until it will lock in its front position.
Repeat the same procedure for the second footrest.
To unlock and detach the footrest press the locking lever, turn the footrest outwards and then
pull it up. The above function together with these elevating footplates help to transfer the user
into and out of the chair. It also helps to wash all the parts of the users’ body during the
shower when footrests are moved to the side or removed fully.
Never move the chair with the footrests detached when there is someone in it. Always put
users’ feet on foot plates when moving the chair.
Armrest
Armrests can be easily lifted by pulling them up. To move them back in to a low position
simply push them down. This function helps to transfer the user in and out of the chair and it
helps to bath the user.
Never leave chair unattended with armrests lifted when there is someone in it.
Tilt adjustment function
The chair is featured with a tilt adjustment function which allows you to
adjust the angle of the chair in a position from -5º to + 25º.
It can be activated by depressing the levers located in the rear top part of
the back.
After depressing the levers you can move the seat angle up or down.
Adjusting the angle of the seat increases the comfort of the user and helps
to wash and to move the user in or out of the chair.
Never leave a patient unattended in the chair with the seat tilted to the max
in either direction.
Transport recommendations
The shower chair is not a device designed for frequent transportation. If it is necessary to transport
the chair, we recommend to disassembly it in the opposite wat of the assembly description above.
The chair should be packed in a way where it is stable and there is no risk of sudden and dangerous
movements of the transported device.

Accessories –Safety belt
It is possible to mount a safety belt on the chair. It is important
that the safety belt has loops at the end.
The loops should be placed at the backrest by lifting the
backrest like the picture to the side. Be aware that the belt is
turned the right way before the backrest is put back into
position like in the second picture.
Mounting 24” rear wheels (extra equipment)
It is possible to replace the rear 5” small wheels with 24”
bigger wheels with pushrods for self-propelling. Assembly of this kind of wheels requires mounting
of typical wheelchair brakes. It is all included in the accessory kit together with fixing bolts,
assembly clamps and plates.
Replacement description:
Disassemble the 2 rear standard wheels in the opposite way to the previous assembly
instruction.
Fit the 24” wheels to the rear vertical side-frame tube (as shown in the first picture below).
There are holes drilled in the tube that allow the chair to be adjusted in different heights.
Choose 2 holes and adjust the assembly plate so the fixing holes are in line with the tube
holes.
Insert 2 fixing bolts through all the holes. Apply washer and nut. Tie the fixing bolts, so the
assembly plate is very stable.
Repeat above steps for the other side of the chair.
Press the quick release button located in the middle of the big wheel. Insert the wheel into the
housing on the assembly plate. Release the button (see the second picture).
Always check if the wheels are attached correctly by trying to pull them out.
To take away the wheels press the quick release button and pull the wheel out of its housing.
After assembling the big wheels it might be necessary to readjust the height of the small
wheels at the front. The main bottom frame always has to be in position parallel to the floor.
For the 24” wheels it is necessary to mount regular wheelchairs parking brakes as the wheels
are not equipped with their own brakes.
The brake assembly consists of a mounting clamp. Brake mechanism and 2 fixing bolts.
Insert the sliding profile of the brake in to the smaller cut out of the mounting clamp.
Put the mounting clamp on the horizontal side frame tube as it is shown in the 4th picture.
Move the sliding profile to find the optimum position of the brake, so it is quite easy to apply
the brake when necessary, but the friction between tire and the friction rod is strong enough
to efficiently hold the wheelchair in a stationary position.
Tie the fixing bolts, so the brake is stable and fixed
Repeat those steps for the other side of the chair.
To apply the brakes simply push the brake lever towards the front of the chair. To release the
brakes pull the lever towards the back of the chair.

Cleaning
Normal dirt on metal and plastic parts can be removed with standard cleaning agents and a sponge or
a soft rag. Check the specific product information before you use it and use only commercial
cleaning products which are suitable for cleaning and disinfection (do not use alcohol-containing
products and no solvent or abrasives).
For a thorough cleaning it is possible to wash the shower chair in an automatic washing machine or
with saturated water vapor for up to 1 minute at 90° Celsius, or up to 5 minutes at 85° Celsius or up
to 10 minutes at 80° Celsius.
Maintenance
The device does not need much maintenance. Despite the solid construction and the use of resistant
materials the product is subject to wear. It is therefore recommended to check the product at regular
intervals be a professional service.
Warning!
When using the chair in very calcareous water, calcium binding might occur at and around
the wheel bearings and other movable parts. Under such circumstances it can be necessary to
use lime solution and afterwards use lubrication.
Warning!
When using the chair in chlorinated surroundings extra strong corrosion will occur and the
warranty will no longer be effective.
