Falcon Wentelsnyers
Die Falcon Wentelsnyer is ‘n vinnige, doeltreffende en moeitevry implement. Verskillende
modelle met snywydtes van 0,9 m tot 3 m is beskikbaar om in die verskillende sny- en
bossiekapbehoeftes te voorsien en by verskillende trekkergroottes te pas. Die beproefde en
bewese snymeganisme verseker ‘n skoon snit in alle toestande. Bossiekappers moenie vir
hooimaak gebruik word nie.
Falcon Ligtediens Wentelsnyers word vir alle grassny- en ligte bossiekapwerk gebruik. Daar
is twee modelle, met snywydtes van 0,9 m en 1,2 m onderskeidelik. Albei implemente is lig,
maar stewig gebou, en is vir kleiner trekkers ontwerp. ‘n Falcon-bossiekapper maak grassny en
ligte bossiekapwerk in die tuin of op die kleinhoewe ‘n plesier eerder as sleurwerk.
Falcon Mediumdiens Wentelsnyers word saam met mediumgrootte trekkers vir algemene
grassny- en bossiekapwerk gebruik. Twee modelle is beskikbaar, met snywydtes van 1,2 m en
1,5 m onderskeidelik. ‘n Kontrahaak is standaard op albei modelle, wat dit moontlik maak om tot
teenaan heinings te sny.
Falcon Swaardiens Wentelsnyers word saam met trekkers tot en met 50 kW gebruik vir alle
grassny- en bossiekapwerk. Verskillende modelle is beskikbaar, met snywydtes van 1,2 m tot
4.5 m. Hulle is met plaaslikvervaardigde F50-reeks-ratkaste toegerus; die 3 m model het ook ‘n
aftakmodule (splitter box). ‘n Kontrahaak is standaard op alle modelle, behalwe die F50/300,
wat dit moontlik maak om tot teenaan heinings te sny.
Falcon Ekstra Swaardiens Wentelsnyers, vir gebruik saam met trekkers tot en met 80 kW, is
geskik vir alle grassny, bosopruiming en baie swaar bossiekapwerk. Falcon vervaardig ‘n ver-
skeidenheid modelle, met snywydtes van 1,5 m tot 2 m. Hulle is met plaaslikvervaardigde F80-
reeks-ratkaste toegerus. Hierdie wentelsnyers is gemaak om die strafste toestande te hanteer.
Falcon Slashers
The Falcon Slasher is a quick, efcient and trouble-free implement. Different models with cutting
widths from 0,9 m to 3 m are available to meet the varying cutting and slashing requirements
and match the appropriate tractors. The tried and tested cutting gear ensures a clean cut in all
conditions. Slashers should not be used for haymaking purposes.
Falcon Light Duty Slashers are used for all grass-cutting and light slashing operations. There
are two models, with cutting widths of 0,9 m and 1,2 m respectively. Both implements have a
light but strong construction and are designed for use on smaller tractors. The use of a Falcon
Slasher makes grass-cutting and light slashing in the garden or on the plot a pleasure rather
than a chore.
Falcon Medium Duty Slashers are used on medium-sized tractors for all general grass-cutting
and slashing work. Two models are available, with cutting widths of 1,2 m and 1,5 m respec-
tively. An offset hitch is standard on both models, which permits cutting close up to boundary
fences.
Falcon Heavy Duty Slashers are for use on tractors up to 50 kW for all grass-cutting and slash-
ing operations. Different models are available, with cutting widths from 1,2 m to 4.5 m. They are
tted with a locally manufactured F50 series gearbox; in addition the 3 m model has a splitter
box. The off-set hitch, which permits cutting up to a boundary fence, is standard on all models
except the F50/300.
Falcon Extra Heavy Duty Slashers, for use with tractors up to 80 kW, are suitable for all
grass-cutting, bush-clearing and very heavy slashing operations. Falcon manufactures a range
of models, with cutting widths from 1,5 m to 2 m. They are tted with an F80 series, locally
manufactured gearbox. These slashers are engineered to tackle the toughest terrain.

Installering en Veiligheid
Dit is noodsaaklik om die stappe hier onder streng te volg. Om hulle te ignoreer sal die lewensduur
van u Falcon-implement verkort en tot onnodige onkoste lei.
1. VUL DIE RATKAS MET OLIE TOT DIE KORREKTE VLAK
Vul die ratkas tot die korrekte vlak met hoëgehalte-ratkasolie. Ons beveel Fuchs Renep 1000
aan, maar EP90 kan vir byvulling gebruik word. Die Falcon F50- en F80-reeks ratkaste het ’n
peilstokkie en moet tot by die merkie daarop gevul word. Verseker dat die F50- en F80- rat-
kaste se asemgaatjies skoon gehou word om blokkasies te voorkom. Dié gaatjies is bo in die
peilstokkies geleë.
Die F25- en F40-reeks gegote-yster-ratkaste aan die ligte- en mediumdiens-implemente het
’n vulprop en ’n vlakprop. Maak albei proppe oop en vul totdat die olie by die vlakprop uitloop.
MOET NIE oorvul nie, want dit kan oorverhitting en skade aan seëls
veroorsaak.
VERSEKER DAT DIE KRAGAFTAKKERAS KORREK IS VIR U TREKKER
Die kragaftakkeras sal dalk tot die regte lengte gesny moet word om u trekker/Falcon-kombinasie
te pas. ’n Te lang as kan tot ernstige skade aan u trekker, die wentelsnyer of die kragaftakkeras
lei wanneer die implement gelig of laat sak word. As u die as egter te kort afsny, kan dit
veroorsaak dat u dit nie kan gebruik nie, of dat die as onder aandrywing kan begin vibreer, breek
of oopskeur indien die oorvleueling te kort is, kan dit die implement en trekker beskadig en die
drywer beseer. Hoe om die regte as-lengte te bereken en die as te sny word duidelik in die
kragaftakkeras-handleiding beskryf. Verwys dus asseblief na daardie handleiding (veral bladsye
39 en 97–100) voordat u die as sny.
Voordat u u trekker/Falcon-kombinasie gebruik, verseker dat die trekker
se hidrouliese 3-punt-koppelbeheer-hefboom op die regte hoogte
ingestel is, sodat die Falcon-implement nie te hoog opgelig word
nie, aangesien dit die kragaftakkeras sal beskadig. Verseker dat die
kragaftakker-omhulsel te alle tye in ‘n goeie toestand is.
Please read the following installation, safety and routine maintenance instructions very carefully.
Should you be in any doubt as to the correct operating or maintenance procedure, please contact

Installation and Safety
It is essential that you adhere to the steps listed below. To ignore them will shorten the life of your
Falcon implement and result in unnecessary expense.
1. FILL THE GEARBOX WITH OIL TO THE CORRECT LEVEL
Fill the gearbox to the correct level with good-quality gearbox oil. We recommend Fuchs Renep
1000, but EP90 can be used for topping up. The Falcon F50 and F80 series gearboxes are tted
with a dipstick and should be lled to the mark on the dipstick. Ensure that the breather holes on
the F50 and F80 gearboxes are kept clean to avoid blockages. The breather hole is located on
top of the dipstick.
The F25 and F40 series cast-iron gearboxes used on the light- and medium-duty implements
have a ller plug and a level plug. Open both plugs and ll until the oil runs out of the level plug.
DO NOT overll, as this can cause overheating and damage to seals.
CHECK THAT THE PTO SHAFT IS CORRECTLY SUITED TO YOUR
TRACTOR
The PTO shaft may have to be cut to the correct length to suit your tractor/Falcon combination.
Too long a shaft can result in serious damage to your tractor, the slasher, or the PTO shaft when
the implement is either raised or lowered. Cutting the shaft too short may result in you not being
able to use it or, if the overlap is too short, the shaft will, when under power, start to vibrate,
break or tear open, causing damage to the implement and tractor and injury to the operator.
The process of cutting the PTO and the calculation to establish the correct length are clearly
described in the PTO manual, so please refer to this handbook, especially pages 39 and 97-100,
before cutting the PTO shaft.
Before using your tractor/Falcon combination ensure that the tractor’s
hydraulic 3-point linkage control lever is set to the correct height so that
it does not pick up the Falcon implement too high as this will result in
damage to the PTO shaft. Ensure that the PTO guard is in good order at
all times.
