Thank you for your purchase of the Fast Metal Alpine Sunglasses.
This lifestyle product provides many options to interchange lenses within seconds and the ability to replace them when
needed. It was designed for people who wear prescription lenses and also have a need for sunglasses without the hassle and
look of traditional fit-overs. These fashionable prescription sunglasses are capable of providing both within the same frame,
while delivering 100% protection from harmful UV rays. With proper maintenance and care these models will deliver style,
protection, and convenience for years to come.
Fast Metal brings 25 years of experience and knowledge into developing a newer concept of the aluminum sunglass frame
interchangeable lens system. This system was developed by Fast Metal’s founder, Ken Wilson, also known as the Originator
of aluminum eyewear. Ken is the pioneer of the aluminum eyewear market who invented and patented the first ever 27 step
procedure to manufacture aluminum sunglass frames in the USA back in 1995.

Do not force the shield away from the
glasses face while one or more of the
tabs is still in their clips. Doing so may
damage your shield or clip. 5

1. With the front of the glasses facing toward you, place either lens flat over its
proper socket, and slide inward slightly, letting a gap show on the outside edge.
Follow the shield removal procedure on page 4 before working with
your Rx lenses.

2. Using the gap, slide the outer edge of the lens down
into the groove in the rubber insert first. Keep lens level
with rubber insert around socket, avoid letting top or
bottom become inserted without the other.
3. Move thumbs to the inner (nose) edge of the lens and
apply pressure to the lens nose area pushing outward
toward the outside of the glasses and downward into the
rubber insert. Inspect visually and manually to make sure
lenses are fully inserted and sturdy.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
Fast Metal Alpine models come with a specially-woven Microfiber pouch for cleaning and storing. Using the soft bag will help
preserve the superior optical quality of your Fast Metal lenses. Hand wash and air dry the bag regularly.
When not in use, always carry your eyewear in the provided bag or other sturdy eyewear case. To keep them in shape, use
both hands to take them off and avoid putting them face down on a surface, as scratches can impede the performance or
ruin your lenses.
To avoid scratches, never wipe the lenses when they are dry (there may be dust or particles). Always use a microfiber cloth.
Never use paper towels or other rough materials.
Check your Fast Metal Alpine sunglasses regularly to make sure the screws are tight. If you find one that is loose, tighten it
gently with a small optical screwdriver. A 2.0mm screwdriver is recommended. Also, if your hinges are binding, use a small
amount of oil on the barrels to free them.
